Abstract

The invention relates to a method for water-saving washing of moving sheet-like materials, especially in washing processes for solvent washing or the like, in which, during the washing treatment, the sheet-like materials guided through the treatment apparatus in essentially vertical loops pass through treatment portions successively differing from one another from entry into the treatment apparatus up to the end of treatment, with a separate feed of washing liquour, and to a device for carrying out this method and is intended, by a better utilisation of the washing water, to achieve a considerable saving of fresh washing water and thereby to obtain a considerable saving in terms of operating costs during the washing of moving sheet-like materials. According to the invention, to achieve this, the treatment liquour running off from the sheet-like material in each treatment portion is collected, recycled into the same treatment portion by circulation and applied to the sheet-like material again. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a method for water-saving washing of running webs in particular in washing processes for solution washing or the like, in which the webs, which are essentially carried out in vertical loops through the treatment, successively differ in the washing treatment from the entry into the treatment to the end of the treatment Go through treatment sections with separate supply of washing liquor, and an apparatus for performing this method.

It is known that the economy of a washing machine is determined by the amount of water in liters per kilogram of goods, which is necessary to achieve a desired wash-out effect, since this amount of water causes costs as fresh water, for heating and as waste water. It is therefore important to achieve the greatest possible treatment effect by using fresh wash liquor as little as possible.

In the known washing devices, in which a web to be washed out comes into contact with the treatment liquor only once in each treatment section, it has been found that the fresh water supplied for washing out is used only to a small extent, which is unacceptable at today's water prices.

The present invention is therefore intended in particular the task to be solved, by making better use of the washing water, to achieve a considerable saving in fresh washing water and thus to achieve a considerable saving in operating costs when washing out running material webs.

To achieve this object, it is proposed in a method of the type mentioned at the outset to collect the treatment liquor running off the web in each treatment section, to return it to the same treatment section by recirculation and to apply it again to the web. It has proven to be expedient to collect the treatment liquor running off the web for each treatment area outside the treatment area and the circulation of the treatment liquor in each treatment area to countercurrently guide the collected treatment liquors in the direction of travel of the web from the last treatment area to the first treatment area against the direction of travel of the web overlaid by treatment.

Further features of the method according to the invention can be found in claims 3 to 6.

According to the invention, the use of a force-circulating washing liquor which can be adjusted in the amount in each treatment section results in a better use of the washing liquor by repeated, multiple feeding of the liquor to the goods achieved, thereby reducing the specific water consumption compared to the previously known washing processes.

In a device for carrying out this method, in which several treatment units for the web are arranged in a vapor-tight housing closed with a water lock at the inlet and outlet opening for the web, through which the web over substantially upper and lower rows of deflecting rollers If the loops are passed through, the treatment units are to be designed as treatment compartments which are separated from one another in succession with respect to the guidance of the liquor and in which treatment liquor which flows off the material web after the treatment and is collected in collecting containers arranged outside the compartments via pumps connected to the collecting containers is fed repeatedly in the circuit. In this case, the collecting containers are to be connected cascade-like via weirs below the treatment compartments for guiding the collected treatment liquor of the individual compartments in countercurrent to the direction of travel of the material web through the treatment.

Further features of the device according to the invention can be found in claims 10 to 19.

  • Fig. 1 das Behandlungsflottenführungsschema gemäß der Erfindung und
The invention will be explained in more detail below with the aid of the accompanying drawings. On the drawings demonstrate
  • Fig. 1, the treatment fleet management scheme according to the invention and
  • Fig. 2 shows an embodiment of a device according to the invention in a highly schematic representation.

In the fleet management scheme of FIG. 1, the web 10 is only indicated so as not to confuse the representation. The complete course of the web through the treatment is shown in Fig. 2. In both figures, the same parts are provided with the same reference symbols.

As can be seen in FIG. 1, distributor tubes 25, 26, 27 and flat jet nozzles 28, 29, 30, 38 are indicated in the housing 11, which is traversed by the web during the treatment. through which the treatment fleet is fed to the web. The fleet running off the material web is discharged separately at the bottom of each compartment 12, 13, 14 for each compartment and collected in collecting containers 15, 16, 17, 18. The treatment liquor is conveyed back from these containers to the same compartment in the circuit by pumps 19, 20, 21, 22 and is returned to the material web via the distribution pipes and flat jet nozzles. The pumped liquor quantities can be adjusted by regulating valves in the supply lines, as the figure shows.

The circulation of the treatment fleet is a leadership of Fleet countercurrent to the direction of travel of the web overlaid by the treatment which is achieved in that the collecting containers 15, 16, 17, 18 are arranged in cascade fashion with overflows in such a way that the fleet moves from the collecting containers of the areas of more advanced treatment to the collecting containers the collecting container which is further ahead in the treatment, that is to say is returned through the treatment counter to the direction of travel of the material web. The fleet is renewed by overflowing the amount of water fed in as fresh water from the collecting tank to the collecting tank.

Das Siebband 23 läuft ständig langsam in Richtung des Flottenlaufes durch die Auffangbehälter um.A sieve belt 23 is guided around the collecting container, through which the liquor running off the web is immediately freed of contaminants which can be filtered off. The sieve belt is cleaned after the passage of the last, lowest arranged collecting container by spraying with a partial flow of the waste water by means of nozzles 24 from the inside. So no fresh water is used for cleaning. The belt is cleaned shortly after the point at which the greatest amount of filterable substance is expected. The sieve belt 23 runs continuously slowly in the direction of the liquor run through the collecting container.

In Fig. 1 is still the heating of the cold fresh water 34 via a waste water heat recovery device with a heat exchanger 35, one associated with heating steam 36 Post-heater 37, as well as the associated valves and control devices indicated. In addition, various options for special fleet guides behind the collecting containers, such as interruption 40, bypass 39, discharge line 42, etc., can be recognized, by means of which an optimal washing performance with the lowest fresh water consumption for different operating requirements is made possible.

The embodiment of a device according to the invention of FIG. 2 reveals the precise running of the web 10 through the successive washing compartments 12, 13, 14, and the fleet guides. The individual designations are the same as in FIG. 1.

The material web 10 is inserted into the compartment 12 in the vapor-tight housing 11 via a water lock 31. In the infeed area, the web of material is first sprayed with the dirtiest liquor on both sides by flat jets 38. Surface rinses are rinsed off and the concentration of the substances to be washed out in the goods is already significantly reduced.

The supply of the fleet to the web in the individual compartments 12, 13, 14 then takes place in the manner already described in FIG. 1. Likewise the circulation and the countercurrent flow of the treatment liquor.

At the end of the treatment, the material web 10 leaves the housing 11 again via a water lock 33 and can then be fed to an end squeezer 41, which then completes the washing treatment.
