Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for impregnating running textile webs such as woven or knitted webs or the like with treatment liquids for desizing, boiling, bleaching or the like, and to an apparatus for carrying out this method.
It is known to impregnate textile webs in special impregnation devices with chemicals or the like and, after squeezing them to limit the amount of liquor on the goods, introduce them into a steamer in which the chemicals then act on the goods. After the goods first run through the damper in bound form, they are then usually put down.
During storage, folds often form on and in the goods, which, as studies have shown, e.g. due to deformation of the cotton fibers or threads or due to differences in swelling in the goods, since the amount of liquor on the goods limited by the squeeze mechanism is not sufficient to make the fibers supple and allow them to swell fully.
It has therefore already been proposed to install special liquid application containers (boosters) in the damper, in which the goods are soaked again with liquid after heating and a short swelling time. This offer of additional moisture is then sufficient to allow the goods to swell fully. Based on previous experience, the formation of lying folds can be largely avoided in this way.
On the basis of this prior art, the object of the invention is also to simplify the process of impregnating the goods with the chemicals, in order to achieve process and apparatus improvements and savings.
According to the invention, it is proposed to introduce the dry webs of material or those coming from a pretreatment into a steam treatment and to impregnate them with the treatment liquid only after entering the steam treatment with bound product guidance, the steam treatment being continued. Further process features can be found in claims 2 and 3.
Weitere kennzeichnende Merkmale der Erfindung sind Gegenstände der Ansprüche 5 bis 7.In a device for carrying out this method in a damper with bound guidance of the material webs over upper and lower rollers, liquid application streams with a low liquor content (booster) should be arranged on one or more of the lower rollers. Further characteristic features of the invention are the subject matter of claims 5 to 7.
Through the invention, the treatment time can be shortened so much that storage of the goods in an unbound form can be dispensed with. Furthermore, the expensive external impregnation compartment can be saved with the squeeze mechanism and replaced by the simple and cheap booster in the damper.
In the accompanying drawing, a normal rollerbed damper is shown in which boosters according to the invention are arranged on various lower deflection rollers.
The damper is generally designated 10 in the illustration. Through the part of the damper with the bound fabric guide, the web 11 is guided over upper 12 and
