Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a watch according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • quartz-controlled clockworks with at least one contact arranged in the interior of the housing, which is used, for example, to define the functions of the clock and / or to set the exact time.
  • buttons or pushbuttons are generally provided, which can be actuated safely and without auxiliary means.
  • Such pushers should have certain minimum dimensions. While the buttons or pushers protruding from the side of the case, like a conventional winding crown, for example in men's wristwatches, hardly have a disturbing effect and are also comparatively easy to implement from a technical point of view, small and / or flat movements, such as those for women's wristwatches, not only have buttons that protrude laterally aesthetically disturbing, but are also difficult to accommodate and operate because of the small size of the housing on the one hand and the minimum dimensions of the handle on the other.
  • certain disadvantages of an aesthetic and technical nature have been eliminated, this has to be done with other disadvantages.
  • the button is in constant contact with the wearer's skin and thus exposed to dirt. If the handle is flush with the outer surface of the housing base, the risk of contamination is lower, but a pointed object is required to operate the handle.
  • the proposed watch has the features described in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.
  • a push button which penetrates the bottom of the housing to actuate the contact, this can be actuated by pressing the housing without being normally visible.
  • the container can be formed by an additional, cup-shaped part in the manner of an outer case, in which the watch case is supported on a compression spring. This cup-shaped part can completely enclose the actual watch case with the exception of the viewing window.
  • the container can also be formed by a depression which is adapted to the shape of the housing and is formed in a base part, for example made of glass, crystal or artificial stone.
  • the watch Since the watch has no protruding parts at all, one can speak of a "crownless" watch, so to speak, because the push button that penetrates the bottom of the case or the flexible membrane that forms the bottom of the case is normally not visible at all.
  • the clock 10 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a housing 11 with a central part 12, a base 13 sprinkled onto the central part 12 and with a watch glass 14 inserted on the opposite side.
  • a battery-operated, quartz-controlled clockwork 15 is arranged in the housing 11.
  • This clockwork 15 equipped with a stepping motor, not shown, drives pointer 16, which together with a dial 17 form an analog display visible through the watch glass 14.
  • a contact spring 18 for setting purposes, which can be actuated by a pusher 19 which is displaceably mounted in a chuck 20 pressed into the base 13.
  • the entire housing 11 with the clockwork 15 is slidably embedded in a container, here in the form of a recess 21 in a base part 22.
  • the base part 22 can be designed as a central part of a jewelry wristwatch, but also as a base of a table clock.
  • the container can also be formed by a cup-shaped outer housing part (indicated by dashed lines in Fig. 1 and designated 22 '), which encloses the housing with the exception of the watch glass 14.
  • the housing 11 is supported on the bottom 23 of the recess 21 via an annular and corrugated leaf spring 24 which engages on the circumference of the bottom 13. So that the housing is caught in the recess 21 and its rest position remains defined, a stop ring 25 is removably clamped in the recess 21 and cooperates with a shoulder 26 (FIG. 2) formed on the central part 12.
  • the stop ring 25 is provided with an outwardly open circumferential groove 27, in which an O-ring 28 is arranged, which supplies the clamping force required for clamping the stop ring 25.
  • this push button can also be arranged to penetrate the bottom 13, for example, at the point diametrically opposite the push button 19. Then all that is required to actuate one or the other pusher is to exert pressure on the watch glass at the point corresponding to the pusher to be actuated.
  • the push button 19 is, so to speak, invisible and, despite its small dimensions, can be actuated easily.
  • the base part is made of a decorative, transparent or translucent, but very brittle material, for example made of glass, crystal, or a semi-precious stone, into which a depression, such as the depression 21, can be incorporated without great difficulty, is omitted in the case of the proposed one Watch drilling a hole or the like opening into the recess for passing the pusher.
  • the wave-shaped leaf spring 24 can thereby prevent loss be assured that it is anchored at a point on the bottom 23 of the recess or the bottom 13 of the housing 11, for example by gluing.
  • the housing 11 is arranged in a two-part outer housing 22 ', consisting of a ring part 29 spanning the central part 12 of the housing and from a base part 30 blown onto the ring part 29. Furthermore, the bottom 13 of the housing is largely formed by an elastically bendable membrane 31, which is clamped tightly to the lower end face of the middle part 12 by means of a snap ring 32.
  • the outer diameter of the snap ring 32 corresponds to the outer diameter of the middle part 12 and is in any case chosen such that the housing 11 is mounted in a sliding fit in the recess 21 formed by the outer housing 22 '.
  • the membrane 31 rests with its central region on a raised portion 33 which extends from the bottom part 30 into the interior of the recess 21. Finally, a longitudinal groove 34 is formed on the circumference of the middle part 12, into which a pin 35 pressed into the circumferential wall of the ring part engages. So that the housing 11 is secured against rotation with respect to the outer housing 22 'and "wiping movements" of the membrane 31 on the elevation 33 are avoided. If the contact 18, which is only indicated schematically here, is to be actuated, a pressure in the direction of the arrow 36 is sufficient which is sufficient to overcome the action of the spring 24: the Membrane 31 is pressed through and actuates the contact 18, which is only indicated schematically, with its side facing clockwork 15.
  • FIG. 3 has the advantage that it allows a flatter design if it is intended for a wristwatch, for example.
  • the housing 11 of the embodiment of FIG. 3 can also be built into a recess in a base part, provided that the bottom of this recess is provided with an elevation which is capable of pressing the membrane against the housing 31 bend so far that the contact 18 is actuated.
