Abstract

The outlet device for washbasins, bidets, sinks, shower trays, baths or suchlike receiving containers 1 has an outlet pipe 2, which is sealingly insertable into the outlet opening 1b of the outlet device and connectable to the trap elbow 11, and has a valve member 7, which is arranged in the outlet pipe 2 and actuable by means of rods or the like. The valve seat 6a arranged inside the outlet pipe 2 separates a rising channel 8a, connected to the outlet pipe 2 above the valve seat 6a, from an overflow channel 8b connected to the outlet pipe 2 below the valve seat 6a. The rising channel 8a and the overflow channel 8b are arranged laterally outside the actual receiving container 1 and are connected to one another at a height lying above the highest filling level of the receiving container 1. A wall 8c separating the two channels 8a and 8b from one another determines the highest filling level in the receiving container 1. In order to prevent dirt remains from rising out of the outlet pipe 2 into the receiving container 1, the outlet pipe 2 is provided in the upper end with a nonreturn valve 13. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a drain fitting for wash basins, bidets, sinks, shower cups, bath tubs or the like.Tank with a drain pipe insertable in the drain opening and connectable to the drain trap and with a drain pipe arranged in the drain pipe, actuated by a linkage or the like Inside the drain pipe, a valve seat separates a riser duct connected to the drain pipe above the valve seat from an overflow duct connected to the drain pipe below the valve seat, the riser duct and the overflow duct being arranged laterally outside the actual receptacle and at a height above the highest fill level of the receptacle are connected and wherein a wall separating the two channels determines the highest level in the receptacle.

A waste set of the type described above is known from AT-PS 375 988. In this known construction, the overflow consists of a pipe loop forming a riser pipe and a down pipe, both ends of which open into the drain pipe, one end opening above and the other end below the valve seat of the drain valve arranged in the drain pipe. This known overflow and drain valve makes it possible to produce the receptacle, for example in the form of a wash basin, without an overflow opening and overflow channel, since the function of these two parts is taken over by the combined overflow and drain valve. In particular when the receptacles are made from ceramic, their manufacture is simplified; in addition, the appearance of the receptacle is improved because the overflow opening previously required in the receptacle is eliminated, which is not only optically un is beautiful, but is also unsanitary, since it can only be kept clean with great effort and cannot be completed.

Overflow devices for receptacles made of sanitary ceramics, preferably washstands and wash basins, were already known from FR-PS 735 186 and German utility model specification 1 840 394, in which the overflow channel opening with an overflow opening in the receptacle was replaced by a riser and an overflow channel, which were arranged outside the actual receptacle. In the case of these two previously known constructions, however, the riser and overflow channels separated from one another by a dividing wall were formed in one piece below the tap platform during the production of the sanitary ceramic object, which resulted in a very complicated production. These known constructions have therefore not found their way into practice.

All known constructions of the type described above have the disadvantage that, after emptying the receptacle in the drain pipe or in the riser and overflow channel, residual dirt can rise when the receptacle is refilled by swirling from the part of the drain pipe located above the valve seat. For this reason, a practical use of the known constructions was excluded.

The invention has for its object to develop a drain fitting of the type described in such a way that the emergence of dirt residues from the drain pipe is excluded when the receptacle is refilled.

The solution to this problem by the invention is characterized in that the drain pipe in the upper, sealed in the drain opening of the receptacle end is provided with a check valve.

This further development according to the invention ensures that when the receptacle is refilled, no dirt residues emerge from the upper part of the drain pipe and the riser and can contaminate the newly let in liquid.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the check valve is formed by a flexible membrane which can be sealingly applied to the drain pipe or to a drain strainer arranged in the drain opening. Of course, other types of check valves can also be used.

Finally, the invention proposes to provide the drain pipe with a lateral connecting piece to which a riser pipe forming the riser channel and the overflow channel is detachably connected. In this way, on the one hand, the manufacture and assembly of the waste set according to the invention is simplified and reduced in cost, and on the other hand a possibility is created of being able to carry out a simple cleaning of the waste set according to the invention by dismantling the riser pipe.

The drawing shows an embodiment of the pop-up waste according to the invention when it is used on a washstand, namely:
  • Fig. 1 shows a vertical section through a built-in waste set and
  • Fig. 2 is a plan view of the part of the wash basin containing the waste set.

The washbasin 1, which is only partially shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and is made of ceramic material, has an outlet opening 1b at the deepest point of its basin 1a. The upper end of a drain pipe 2 is sealed in this drain opening 1b.

In the illustrated embodiment, this drain pipe 2 comprises an upper part 2a connected by means of a threaded ring 3, which is provided with an external thread and is fastened in a sealed manner in the drain opening 1b of the washbasin 1 with the aid of a flange ring 4 with the interposition of a sealing ring 5.

In the interior of the drain pipe 2, a wall 6 is formed, which extends over the entire cross section of the drain pipe 2 and is provided with a valve seat 6 a for a valve body 7. This valve body 7, which cooperates with the valve seat 6a of the wall 6, forms the actual drain valve.

The wall 6 extends into a connecting piece 2b formed laterally on the drain pipe 2. A riser pipe 8 is connected to this connecting piece 2b and extends outside the basin 1a of the washstand 1 to below the tap plate 1c. The riser pipe 8, which runs vertically in the upper part, is detachably fastened to the connecting piece 2b by means of a union nut 9 which can be screwed onto a thread of the connecting piece 2b.

Das obere Ende der Trennwand 8c definiert den in der Fig. 1 strichpunktiert eingezeichneten höchsten Füllstand im Becken 1a des Waschtisches 1.As can be seen in particular in FIG. 1, the riser pipe 8 is provided with a partition 8c, which is shortly before the end of the Riser 8 ends. This partition 8c divides the riser pipe 8 into a riser duct 8a, which is connected to the upper part of the drain pipe 2, regardless of the position of the valve body 7, and into an overflow duct 8b, which is constantly connected to the lower part of the drain pipe 2. An odor trap 11 is connected to this lower part of the drain pipe 2 by means of a further union nut 10. The upper end of the dividing wall 8c defines the highest fill level in the basin 1a of the washstand 1 shown in dash-dot lines in FIG. 1.

The valve body 7, which is plate-shaped in the exemplary embodiment and provided with a guide rod 7a, can be lifted in a known manner from the valve seat 6a by an actuating linkage or can be returned to the valve seat 6a. Of this actuating linkage, only the actual actuating lever 12 can be seen in FIG. 1, which is pivotably mounted about a horizontal axis in a further connecting piece 2c of the drain pipe 2 and is guided out of the drain pipe 2 in a sealed manner.

In the upper part of the drain pipe 2, a check valve 13 is arranged. In the embodiment shown, this consists of a flexible membrane 13a in the manner of a circular disk, which is fixed in the middle on the underside of a drain strainer 14 by a retaining screw 13b, which in turn is supported on a support star 13c fixed centrally in the upper part 2a of the drain pipe 2 . The flexible membrane 13a allows water flowing out of the basin 1a of the washbasin 1 to enter the drain pipe 2, but prevents water from the drain pipe 2 from rising up into the basin 1a of the washbasin 1 by sealing itself either with its edge the drain pipe 2 or covers the underside of the drain screen 14 over a large area.

The top view in FIG. 2 shows that the riser pipe 8, which is guided vertically upwards in the upper part, is arranged laterally next to a lever-operated fitting 15 in that space of the washstand 1 which is covered by the tap plate 1c.

To fill the basin 1a with water, the valve body 7 is lowered onto the valve seat 6a of the wall 6 using the lever linkage. The water entering after this closure of the drain valve first fills the part of the drain pipe 2 above the wall 6 and a part of the riser duct 8a in the riser pipe 8. As soon as these two parts are filled, the water level in the basin 1a begins to rise. 1, the excess water flows from the riser 8a of the riser 8 through the partition 8c into the overflow channel 8b of the riser 8 and from here over the lower part of the drain pipe 2 and the odor trap 11 into the sewers. In this way, overfilling of the basin 1a is excluded.

In order to drain the water in the basin 1a, the valve body 7 is lifted off the valve seat 6a with the aid of the actuating lever 12. The water in the basin 1 can thus pass through the wall 6 into the odor trap 11 and thus into the sewage system. The water in the riser duct 8a of the riser pipe 8 and in the upper part of the drain pipe 2 also flows through the opening in the wall 6 formed by the valve seat 6a. The flexible membrane 13a of the check valve 13 does not constitute an obstacle when the water flows out of the basin 1a, since it is pressed away by the water pressure both from the underside of the drain filter 14 and with its edge from the wall of the drain pipe 2.

As soon as the water has drained completely, however, the membrane 13a, due to the inherent restoring force, rests with its edge on the wall of the drain pipe 2 and with its surface on the underside of the drain strainer 14, so that in any case, in particular when refilling of the basin 1a no dirt residues possibly remaining in the drain pipe 2 can rise from the drain pipe 2 into the basin 1a.
