Abstract

1. Low-loading waggon for pick-a-back traffic having a low-loading bridge (1) which is practicable for driving along its full length and whose loading-surface (1') extending between the bogies (2) can, to make possible a loading with a vehicle, be lifted to a level which makes possible a crossing of the bogies and can be lowered for the transportation of the vehicle, characterized in that the low-loading bridge (1) has supporting beams (7) extending beyond the extremities of its loading-surface (1') and laterally over the bogies (2) and being bent at right angles to correspond to the lowered position of the loading surface, that the supporting beams are supported on the bogies (2) by lifting means (3) and can be lifted into the loading or entering position together with the loading-surface (1'), where the loading-surface has approximately the level of the surfaces of the bogies, and that said surfaces of the bogies are constructed in such a manner that they are practicable for driving.

Description

The invention relates to a low loader wagon for piggyback transport, which is used for the purpose of loading.

As part of the piggyback transport, low-floor wagons are used almost exclusively, on which the trucks drive up and down lengthwise at the exit and end stations. Since the regular cross-section of the train has to be observed, the wagons have to be built very low, otherwise the bogies will be too high and the length of the wagons will no longer be accessible. This means that the wheels of the bogies have to be made with a very small diameter. Due to these small wheel diameters, there is a relatively high risk of derailment, which means that high speeds cannot be driven.

This disadvantage is eliminated by the fact that the flatbed bridge can be raised and lowered and can be driven on at a higher level. This eliminates the disadvantages of the design with very small wheel diameters, it can be driven at high speeds since there is no risk of derailment, since bogies with wheels with the usual diameters of 400 to 500 mm are used. Driving onto the wagons takes place in such a way that the flatbed bridges are raised to the level of the upper edge of the bogie, the vehicles drive on the train and then the flatbed bridges are lowered again. The truck train is then within the rail gauge and the train can depart.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the flatbed wagon can be designed so that the flatbed bridge is narrower in the middle than at the ends. Through the narrower The design in the middle of the flatbed bridge reduces the restriction due to the rail profile when cornering, while at the end the bridge is wide so that the hydraulic cylinders and the lock can be accommodated. In order to increase the strength of the flatbed bridge, the cross section can be made trough-shaped.

The pressure for lifting the flatbed bridge can either be generated by a pump unit that is carried on the wagon, or by a stationary or mobile device at the station. It is also possible for the lifting or lowering process to be carried out pneumatically by the train's own compressed air.

The invention is illustrated in the drawings below.

The flatbed wagon consists of a flatbed bridge 1, which rests on two bogies. Cylinders 2 are attached between the flatbed bridge and the bogies. In order to make the low-loader wagon accessible, the low-loader bridge 1 is raised so far that the level of the lane of the deep loading bridge is approximately equal to the upper edge of the bogie 3. So the trucks 4 can drive longitudinally onto the train set over the individual low-loader wagons at about one level. When all trucks are in position, the low-loader bridges 1 are lowered again and engage in a lock 5 that can be centered. The truck 4 is located within the rail profile. The process is reversed when unloading.

The flat bed bridge is designed so that it is built narrower in the middle 6 than at the ends 7 and the side cheeks 8 are raised higher in the middle area. The pressure for lifting and lowering can be generated by a pump unit 9 carried along, as shown in FIG. 4. The cylinders are fed to the wagon via fixed pipelines 12. Other alternatives are a central pressure supply 10, as shown in FIG. 5, or by means of a small mobile device 11 for each flat-bed wagon, as shown in FIG. 6.

In the event that the system is docked at the station, a high-pressure quick coupling 13 is provided on each flatbed wagon. It is also possible to use spindle drives instead of cylinders.
