Description

The invention relates to a rail vehicle, in particular a light rail car, essentially formed from at least two articulated car body parts and a drive arranged below the joint, which has two idler gears and a drive frame lying partly below the horizontal wheel center plane.

From DE-B 1 010 092 it is known in a rail vehicle to support two car bodies which are coupled to one another in an articulated manner on a drive equipped with idler wheels. The frame of the undercarriage has crossbeams, each of which engages horizontally around an idler gear above the wheel center plane, and crossbeams which connect the crossbeams and are bent down and lie below the horizontal wheel center plane. This design of the running gear frame allows a passage between the car body parts with a floor that is lowered in height, but the width that can be used by the passengers is relatively small.

The invention has for its object to design a light rail car of the generic type in the area of its joint and the drive there so that with as little effort as possible, a low, passenger-friendly floor height, a lower, for low energy consumption, its own weight and a substantial reduction in wear between Wheel and rail can be achieved.

This object is achieved in that an articulated support is embedded in the flat designed and generally arranged below the horizontal wheel center plane drive frame, which is guided on this drive frame in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the vehicle and for vertical suspension, with the articulated support a portal-shaped, narrow central frame engages, which is operatively connected to the car body parts via a lever arrangement that controls the drive on bends, as well as driving up and down troughs in bisecting positions. The prior art (BE-A 541 049) also includes an articulated connection for multiple unit trains, in which a conventional wheel set serves to support two car bodies.

This wheel set is connected via suspension springs and guides to a chassis frame arranged above the horizontal wheel center plane. At the transverse ends of the frame there are upwardly projecting brackets for forming axes of rotation for essentially vertical subframes. The subframes extend from the axes of rotation from scissors-like to approximately to the car roof and are each articulated at the top with one of the two car bodies via bolts. Because of the existing differences with respect to the type and solution of the subject matter of the invention with regard to the wheel design, the arrangement of the drive frame and the center frame as well as the lack of a joint support in BE-A 541 049, this document is unable to provide any information or suggestions for finding the solution according to claim 1 .

Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

The drive in the joint area has two wheels 3, each of which can rotate independently of one another as double-bearing idler wheels. On bearing housings 3a of the idler gears 3, a flat drive frame 4, which is arranged below the wheel center plane in the transverse direction of the wagon, is supported by rubber springs 5, which also enable a partial radial adjustment of the idler gears 3 to the rail, especially when they enter the straight line into a curve, in an automatic manner . Parallel to the rubber springs 5. shock absorbers work 6. A joint carrier 7, which is predominantly embedded in the drive frame 4, is guided in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the vehicle by means of drivers 7a on stop pieces 4a of the frame 4. For the vertical cushioning of the hinge bracket 7, two air springs 8 are used, each of which is arranged between the drive frame 4 and the underside of correspondingly raised brackets 7b at the ends of the hinge bracket 7.

The connection of the car body parts 1 and 2 to one another and to the joint support 7 takes place via a multi-part ball socket construction, which essentially consists of a bed 7c in the middle of the joint support 7, a spherical body 9 formed from a lower part and an upper part, and an upper bed 1 of a boom la of the left car body part 1 in the drawing plane. A bracket 2a of the right carriage part 2 extends between the two parts of the spherical body 9. A bolt 10 with an attached mushroom cap 10a secures the above-described ball socket connection, with sufficient clearance between the bolt 10 and the bores penetrated by it with regard to the bending movements of the joint during trough and crest ride. The toe mushroom 10a of the pin 10 supports a central frame 11, described in more detail below, in the transverse center thereof.

The central frame 11 is portal-like and particularly narrow. It extends in the transverse direction of the vehicle below a two-part turntable 12, which usually covers the passage between the body parts 1 and 2, up to just in front of the wheels 3 and, furthermore, extends horizontally across the wheels 3 (see FIG. 2), vertically up to it illustrated roof section. The center frame 11 lies against the top of the brackets 7b of the joint support 7 and is screwed to it. The central frame 11 serves on the one hand to accommodate sealing bellows 13, which are each fastened to the body parts 1 and 2 and completely shield the joint area; Above all, however, the drive is controlled with the aid of the center frame 11 in such a way that bisecting positions are present both when cornering and when troughs and crests. For this purpose, a two-armed lever 1 la is pivotally mounted on both sides of the center frame 11 about its center - displaceable in height or elastically - with cardanic gimbals engaging the respective connecting levers 11 at the ends of the two-armed lever 11 a and on the body parts 1 and 2 . The central pivot points of the two-armed lever 11 a are aligned in the vertical plane with the ball socket connection and the hinge point of an articulation (not shown) between the central frame 11 and the body parts 1 and 2 in the roof area. In the horizontal, the car-side, cardanic articulation points of the connecting levers 11 b are aligned with the central pivot points of the two-armed levers 11 a. Likewise, the cardanic joints at the ends of the two-armed levers 11a lie in a common axis with their central pivot point. The forces generated by the lever arrangement described above are transmitted to the drive frame 4 and its idler gears 3 via the central frame 11 and the joint carrier 7. In order to avoid constraints that would be conceivable in the event of deviations in the axial position from the ideal position of the wheels 3 when entering and exiting in or out of curves, the driving devices - for example the central frame 11 - are sufficiently elastically deformable and sufficient play is provided, for example between the Carriers 7a of the joint support 7 and the stop pieces 4a of the drive frame 4th

A stabilization of the drive frame 4 with respect to tilting movements about the center axis of the wheels 3 is achieved according to FIG. 4 by struts 4b, which are connected to the drive frame 4 at an angle-stiffness and are supported in a vertically displaceable manner against stop surfaces 11c of the center frame 11.

Auf diese Weise werden ideale Radeinstellungen im Gleisbogen erzielt.5 and 6 modified - according to the principle of EP-B-0 135 877, Fig. 2 - the idler gears 3 are each pivotably connected to the drive frame 4, which is designed accordingly, about a vertical axis lying outside the track width is. The two idler gears 3 are coupled in their pivoting movement by a tie rod 15. In this way, ideal wheel settings are achieved in the track curve.

The joint area is covered towards the passenger compartment by a joint cover 14.
