The undercarriage of the undercarriage according to the invention essentially consists of the cross member (1). The cross member (1) is flat in box construction. Claims (8)

  1. Running gear unit for low-floor rail vehicles with a running gear frame on which individual wheels (9) are rotatably mounted via a respective rocker (7) and the rocker (7) is attached in articulated fashion and in a manner supported via primary springs, the running gear frame being connected to the carriage body of the low-floor rail vehicle via two articulated rods (17) which are mounted in articulated fashion at a distance from one another on a crossmember (1) of the running gear frame and, at the other end, are attached, likewise in articulated fashion, to the carriage body, the carriage body being supported on the running gear frame via secondary springs (15) which are mounted in pockets (16) near to the transverse ends of the crossmember (1), and transverse stops (18) arranged at a distance from one another in the crossmember (1) limiting the transverse movement of the carriage body relative to the running gear unit, characterized in that the rocker (7) is mounted on a horizontal axle (6) arranged in the transverse direction of the running gear unit, on a bolster (4) which is secured in a manner articulated about a vertical axis on the running gear frame.
  2. Running gear unit according to Claim 1, characterized in that the horizontal swivellability of the bolster (4) relative to the running gear frame is cushioned and/or damped by springs (13) and/or dampers (14) arranged between the bolster (4) and the running gear frame.
  3. Running gear unit according to Claim 1 and 2, characterized in that the primary spring is designed as a leaf suspension spring (10), two leaf suspension springs (10) being provided for each individual wheel (9) and being arranged on both sides of the wheel tyre, between the rocker (7) and the bolster (4), in the longitudinal direction of the running gear unit.
  4. Running gear unit according to Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the rocker (7) is designed with a downwardly open cross-section and in a U shape and an axle (8) for the individual wheel (9) is arranged in a fixed manner in the lateral cheeks (7a) of the rocker (7).
  5. Running gear unit according to one or more of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the individual wheels (9) of the running gear unit are in each case arranged so as to be swivellable and locked together in pairs.
  6. Running gear unit according to one or more of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the bolsters (4) or rockers (7) or axles (8) of the individual wheels (9) arranged adjacent to one another are connected to one another in articulated fashion by an axle support (12).
  7. Running gear unit according to one or more of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the bolsters (4) or rockers (7) or axles (8) of the individual wheels (9) arranged adjacent to one another are connected to one another rigidly by an axle support (12).
  8. Running gear unit according to Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that, in the region of the lateral cheeks (7a) of the rocker (7), the axle (8) is designed as a polygonal shaft and is mounted in a fixed manner in the lateral cheeks (7a).
