A gegenüber der Drehachse 200, 210 des Drehgestells 17, 18 in Richtung gegen den mittleren Wagenkasten C versetzt angeordnet ist. Der durch diese Konstruktion erzielte Effekt ist aus Fig. 2 im Vergleich mit Fig. 1 erkennbar. In Fig. 2 ist der Bogen und die Hüllkurve gleich wie in Fig. 1. Es ist ersichtlich, daß durch die Verschiebung der Achse 10 des Gelenkes zwischen dem mittleren Wagenkasten C und den endständigen Wagenkästen B und A in Richtung von deren Längsachse 19 um den Betrag LV (im Beispiel 1000 mm) gegenüber der Drehachse 200 bzw. 210 des Drehgestells, eine Verlängerung des mittleren Wagenkastens C auf den Wert L'C (im Beispiel 8775 mm) ermöglicht wird, was bedeutet, daß auch der Niederflurraum des mittleren Wagenkastens C eine Verlängerung auf das Maß L'C1 (im Beispiel 4935 mm) erfahren kann.As already mentioned, an enlargement of the middle car body C is desirable while maintaining the Bogengängigkeit the train, in which case an extension of the low-floor space in the middle car body C can be achieved. Die Fäuste 8 sind an einer Tragplatte 1 fixiert, die unterhalb des Bodenniveaus 14 des endständigen Wagenkastens A bzw. B angeordnet ist. Zweckmäßig ist es hiebei, die Tragplatte an einem eine Verlängerung des endständigen Wagenkastens A bzw. B bildenden, mit diesem fest verbundenen Adapter 7 anzuordnen. Die Länge des Adapters ist in Fig. 2 mit LV bezeichnet und beträgt 1000 mm. Die Verbindung des Adapters 7 mit dem jeweiligen endständigen Wagenkasten A bzw. B kann durch Verschrauben erfolgen. Zur Entlastung des Adapters 7 von Zugkräften können die die Schwenklager 22 der Querspange 9 aufweisenden beiden Fäuste 8 je mit einem parallel zur Schwenkachse 21 der Querspange 9 verlaufenden Zapfen 2 versehen sein. In jeden dieser Zapfen 2 greift dann ein an dem dem mittleren Wagenkasten C benachbarten Wagen B fixierter Arm 23 ein, wie dies die Fig. 3 und 4 näher veranschaulichen. Hiebei werden Zugkräfte vom Wagen B über die Arme 23 und die Zapfen 2 direkt auf die Fäuste 8 und von diesen dann auf die Querspange 9 und auf die in der Querspange 9 gelagerte Schwenkachse 10 übertragen.The structural means for extending the three car body B, C and A are shown in more detail in FIGS. 3-9.
