Definitions

  • the invention relates to an electrically operated hand-held hair dryer with a housing for accommodating a heater, an electric motor for driving an impeller and a follow-up device, the housing having on one end an inlet grille for the air to be sucked in and on the other hand an outlet grille for the outlet of the heated air, outlet grilles , Outlet grille and guide device are arranged coaxially to the longitudinal axis of the manual hair dryer.
  • Such electrically operated hand hair dryers are known in various embodiments. This also applies to the outlet grille attached to the front end of the hand hair dryer housing to allow the heated air to escape.
  • the known outlet grids consist of a number of rings arranged concentrically to one another, that is to say those which have different diameters, the rings being connected to one another by a plurality of transverse webs which are arranged at a distance from one another. With the previously known Outlet grids of this type run the rings arranged concentrically to one another in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the hand hair dryer. As a result of this training, as practice shows, there is an uneven distribution of the heated air coming out of the outlet grille.
  • the object of the present invention is to further improve electrically operated hand hair dryers of the type described in the introduction, in particular in such a way that a more uniform distribution of the heated air leaving the outlet grille takes place.
  • the outlet grille should be manufactured in a simple and inexpensive manner and be able to be accommodated in the housing of the hand-held hair dryer.
  • the outlet grille consist of an outer ring and a plurality of inner rings which are connected to one another by connecting webs, at least one of which is conical, the smallest diameter of which is directed towards the outlet.
  • Tests carried out have shown that this results in a much more uniform distribution of the heated air emerging from the outlet grille in comparison with the known.
  • the conical inner ring enclose an angle of approximately 25 ° with the longitudinal axis of the hand hair dryer. Such an angle of inclination has given the best results in tests carried out.
  • the connecting webs of the outlet grille in the immediate vicinity of the outer ring have a recess for engaging the rear end of an attachable molding nozzle. If the use of such a shaping nozzle in connection with the electrically operated hand hair dryer is desired, it can be detachably connected to the housing of the hand hair dryer in a simple manner, the recesses forming a guarantee that even after the shaping nozzle is put on or after the connection the same with the housing of the hand-held hair dryer, a relative movement between the two parts remains possible.
  • the electrically operated heater generally consists of a plurality of plate-shaped or strip-shaped carriers made of an electrically insulating material.
  • the actual heating wires or heating coils are attached to the outside of the carriers, the carriers being arranged in a star shape.
  • they are also identical to one another and have the same distance from one another. So far, the webs of the guide device have been aligned with the brackets of the heater. It has thus been ensured that, seen in the longitudinal direction of the hand hair dryer, the webs of the guide device and the support of the heater lie one behind the other, namely in the axial direction.
  • Another object of the invention is to remedy this.
  • An arrangement of the follow-up device and the support in an electrically operated hand-held hair dryer of the type described at the outset is thus to be created, in which excessive temperatures cannot arise in the area of the heater, as a result of which the housing of the hand-held hair dryer is affected.
  • the webs of the guiding device are offset from the carriers to arrange the heater.
  • the tracking device forms a one-piece structural unit with a carrier for the electric motor. This can be produced in an economical manner and connected to the housing by known means.
  • the electrically operated hand hair dryer on which the exemplary embodiment is based is generally designated by 10.
  • the hand-held hair dryer 10 has a housing which, in the exemplary embodiment shown, is composed of a front housing part 11 and a rear housing part 12, the two housing parts 11 and 12 being able to be connected by means known per se.
  • an inlet grille 13 is arranged for sucking in the fresh air.
  • the inlet grille 13 can e.g. can be locked with the rear end of the housing part 12.
  • the inlet grille has a plurality of inlet openings 32 which are arranged in concentric partial rings. The webs lying between the inlet openings 32 are not designated for the sake of simplicity.
  • the electrically operated hand hair dryer 1o has an outlet grill 15, the design and shape of which can best be seen from FIGS. 4, 5 and 6 of the drawing. It follows from this that the outlet grille 15 is a one-piece plastic body which has an outer ring 34 and a plurality of inner rings 35 which run coaxially to the longitudinal axis A-A. These have different diameters and are connected to one another via connecting webs 36.
  • At least one of the inner rings 35 and, in the exemplary embodiment chosen, the middle of the three inner rings is conical.
  • the cone of this inner ring is chosen such that it encloses an angle of approximately 25 ° with the longitudinal axis A-A.
  • the smallest diameter of this cone 35 faces the outlet opening for the heated air and the largest diameter the inner parts of the hand hair dryer, which lie in the receiving space of the housing.
  • a recess 37 is provided in the connecting webs 36.
  • a space for engaging the rear end of a shaping nozzle 14 is created, which can be detachably connected to the front part 11 of the housing of the hand-held hair dryer 10 if required.
  • a releasable snap-in connection is provided for holding the shaping nozzle 14 to the housing of the hand-held hair dryer 10.
  • the interacting parts have a snap-in 38 and a counter-snap 39.
  • the recesses 37 thus leave a space for the end engaging in the housing the molding nozzle 14 created so that this - as desired - can be changed in position by turning if necessary.
  • the outlet grill 15 is inserted into the interior of the front part 11 of the housing of the hair dryer 10.
  • the rear end of the outlet grille 15 comes into operative connection with the ends of supports 17 of a heater, generally designated 16, facing it.
  • recordings are not specified on the connecting webs 36 of the outlet grille 15 provided.
  • the heater 16 has a training known per se. It consists of flat supports 17 which essentially extend in the direction of the longitudinal axis A-A of the hair dryer 10.
  • the actual heating wire or the heating coil carried by the carriers 17 is omitted in the figures of the drawing for the sake of simplicity, firstly because both the wire itself can have a known design and is also connected to the carriers 17 in a known manner.
  • the follow-up device 20 is combined with a holder 19 for an electric motor 18 to form a structural unit.
  • the webs 33 of the follow-up device 20 are directly molded onto the outer surface of the carrier 19.
  • the electric motor 18 has a design known per se and is also used in a manner known per se Drive of an impeller 22 used, which is arranged on the motor shaft 21.
  • the air sucked in through the openings 33 of the inlet grille 13 therefore first reaches the area of the impeller 22, then the area of action of the secondary guide 20 and from there finally to the heater 16. After heating, the air leaves the outlet grille 15 and possibly the front opening the shaping nozzle 14 when the latter is detachably connected to the hand hair dryer 10.
  • the hand-held hair dryer 10 has a handle 23 which is hollow and can therefore be used to accommodate control and control parts.
  • a switch 26 of a known type is accommodated in the interior of the hollow handle 23, which switch is covered on the outside by a cover panel 27.
  • the cover panel 27 - guided on the inner walls of the handle 23 - can be moved to a limited extent.
  • the cover panel 27 has a projection, not shown.
  • the switch can be switched to its on or off position by moving the cover panel.
  • a regulator wheel 28 is rotatably mounted in the cavity of the handle 23, which in certain areas passes through an opening in the wall of the handle 23 and is thus accessible to the user.
  • an anti-kink sleeve 25 is arranged with a continuous bore for accommodating one end of an electrical supply line 24, the other end of which carries a plug which can be inserted into a socket in a known manner.
  • a strain relief clamp 30 is provided in a known manner.
  • the handle 23 in a known manner also has a suspension eye 31, with the aid of which, when the hand hair dryer 10 is not in use, on a hook or the like. can be hung.
  • the embodiment shown is only one example of realizing the invention and it is not restricted to this. Rather, many other designs and applications are possible.
  • the number of inner rings present can also be increased if desired. This also applies to the number of tapered inner rings.
  • the invention can also be implemented in hand hair dryers other than those shown.
