Description
The invention relates to a watercraft, in particular a sailboat with at least one hull.
In the case of sailing boats which are not keel boats and therefore have no dead ballast sitting deep in the boat, the capsizing occurs when the righting moment becomes smaller than the moment causing the heeling of the sailing boat. This tendency to capsize is demonstrated, for example, by all sailing dinghies and, due to their specific design, usually also by all multihull sailing boats, such as catamarans, trimarans or the like.
In the case of smaller sailing dinghies, one helps after the capsizing to raise the sailboat by using the lever arm formed by the extended dinghy of the sailing dinghy, ie the crew of the capsized sailboat tries to climb on the sword, so that the sailboat straightens up due to the force exerted thereby. In large sailboats of this type, the righting moment that can be formed by the sword and the crew of the sailboat is generally too low, because the overwhelming, capsizing moment is too great due to the mass of the sailboat and the sails lying in the water. In many cases, therefore, a capsize of large sailboats of this type results in the complete loss of these boats, since the crew can no longer raise the sailboat for the aforementioned reasons, even if a storm that caused the capsize has died down after the capsize.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a watercraft with an erection aid which, after capsizing, allows the crew to safely erect the watercraft again without outside help.
The object is achieved according to the invention by a rod-shaped erection element as an erection aid, which is detachable at one end essentially on a line transversely to the swimming plane and essentially at the height of its center of gravity Gs and pivotably attached in at least one degree of freedom, the other being free End of the erecting element for erecting the sailboat is pivotable substantially orthogonally to the longitudinal axis of the boat.
The advantage of a watercraft designed in this way is that the lifting aid as such is continuously ready for operation and allows the capsized watercraft to be lifted even when the entire crew is in the water and boarding to install other lifting aids as a result of the prevailing wind conditions and the waves it is possible. To erect the watercraft, after the erecting element has been pivoted substantially orthogonally to the longitudinal axis of the boat, all that is required is for the crew in the water to apply a suitable force to the free end of the erecting element, so that the capsized sailboat subsequently straightens up again in a simple manner.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the erecting element is arranged in the inactive state essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the boat, which is preferably possible without special constructive measures, for example if the watercraft has a hull designed as a double hull (catamaran), with the erecting element then advantageously essentially centrally between the double hulls is arranged. An erecting element arranged in this way is not a hindrance for sailing maneuvers.
According to another advantageous embodiment of the watercraft, the free end of the erecting element is held so that it cannot be displaced longitudinally by at least one tether that is attached to the hull and is longitudinally adjustable. It should be noted that this talje generally does not have to be attached to the free end of the erecting element in the inactive state, rather it is also conceivable that the talje is only connected to the free end of the erecting element when the erecting element in for the erection of the watercraft his upright position is swung out. The advantage, however, that the tangs are continuously connected to the free end of the erecting element is that laborious striking is no longer necessary when the watercraft has capsized.
In the case of watercraft with a double hull, two talls are advantageously used, each of which is led from one and from the other double hull to the free end of the erecting element.
In addition, the free end of the righting element in the inactive state can preferably be held in the rest position by a releasable holder, with which additional vertical movements of the righting element as a result of the sea conditions and thus a beating are avoided.
Particularly in the case of watercraft with large dimensions, it can be advantageous to fasten the free end of the erecting element to the hull via one or possibly a plurality of guy lines with a predetermined length such that the erecting element with its free end in the pivoted state is essentially transverse to the other Center of gravity lying Gs is arranged. This makes it possible to keep the erecting element in the swung-out state after capsizing with its free end at a predetermined height due to the length of the trough above the water at the level of Gs, so that erecting the sailboat is always possible.
According to another advantageous embodiment of the watercraft, the erecting element is designed to be telescopically extendable, so that, on the one hand, it is ensured that the erecting element does not protrude beyond the rear of the watercraft and would hinder maneuverability, but, on the other hand, can be extended to such a length if necessary that the watercraft can be erected by just one person, for example, to enlarge the lever arm.
In certain capsizing situations of the watercraft, it can happen that the free end of the erecting element is immersed in the water in the pivoted-out state. This can be a hindrance to the erection process of the watercraft, so that the area of the free end of the erecting element is advantageously provided with a buoyancy means to avoid immersion. This buoyancy means can preferably be formed by a plastic foam introduced into the tubular erection element, but in principle any other buoyancy means are also conceivable for attachment to the free end of the erection element.
In order to prevent the mast from capsizing too far into the water after capsizing of the watercraft, for example designed as a sailboat, to prevent it from capsizing, on the other hand to ensure that the erecting element with its free end after capsizing the watercraft is not too high and therefore If the crew protrudes out of the water uncomfortably and possibly inaccessible, an inflatable drive body is preferably arranged on the mast top or on the sail head, wherein according to a further advantageous embodiment, buoyancy bodies can also be provided in the sail, which are also inflatable, if necessary.

Der mittlere Querholm 36 dient beispielsweise zur Aufnahme des Masts 28.The invention is described with reference to the
The erecting
The area of the
As can be seen in particular from FIGS. 2 and 3, the
As can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4, the
In order to prevent the sailboat from diving too much into the
On the basis of a rough calculation, it can be shown that it is readily possible to raise the
The axis 190, around which the capsized
It should also be noted that the
