Definitions

  • the invention relates to a single-axle undercarriage with idler wheels for rail vehicles with an axis-receiving frame which supports the vehicle and which has a pivot bearing, the pivot bearing of the frame being horizontally rotatably arranged at one end of a longitudinal linkage.
  • a rail vehicle is known from BE-A-53 47 60.
  • Rail vehicles that have to drive tight bends are usually equipped with bogies in order to achieve an almost radial setting of the wheels in the bends. This radial adjustment is necessary in order to reduce the skewing of the wheels relative to the rail when cornering and thus to avoid undesired wear on the wheels and rails.
  • bogie undercarriages are only used to achieve the desired setting of the wheels on the track curve.
  • the 2 wheel sets in the 2-axle bogie are not fully utilized by the total vehicle weight.
  • the leading wheelset of a bogie is only used to control the radial setting of the bogie in the track curve.
  • Bogies are therefore not only suitable to a limited extent for low-wear sheet travel in tight bends, but are also too heavy and uneconomical due to the unnecessary second wheel set.
  • BE-A-53 47 60 also discloses a single-axle running gear for rail vehicles, in which the axle is rotatably mounted in axle bearings in a frame which can be swiveled horizontally under the vehicle, with fixedly arranged wheels.
  • the frame supports the car body via sliding pieces and is mounted on the car body with its one longitudinal end in the longitudinal center, pivoting horizontally about a pivot bearing.
  • buffers are arranged between the front of the frame and the car body, which, after the frame has been swung out horizontally, return the frame with the axis to the center position.
  • the construction according to the above-mentioned patent is also a drawbar axle.
  • the disadvantages of the drawbar axle have been described in the prior publication DE-PS 923 197.
  • Single-axle drives with wheel sets are also known, which have a rotary bearing in the form of a swivel ring centrally above the axle.
  • This slewing ring is required for the transmission of the transverse and longitudinal forces that act on the drive.
  • the disadvantage of this design is that the floor level in the vehicle is too high due to the required turntable. If the slewing ring is divided into side link guides, this also requires an unreasonably large installation space. The slide guide is also subject to high wear.
  • Single-axle drives with swiveling idler wheels are also known, for example from EP-PS 0 0135 877. These drives are designed as so-called single-axis, single-wheel drives. The wheels of the axle are loosely attached to stub axles and pivotally attached to the frame of the drive.
  • the advantage of this design is that the radial adjustment of the wheels in the rail arch is carried out satisfactorily when the single-axle single-wheel drives are not driven or braked.
  • the reduction of the track is disadvantageous due to the radial adjustment of the wheels in tight bends.
  • Another disadvantage is the need for complex compensation devices for possible drive and braking forces in these self-steering wheels.
  • a magnetic rail brake that may have to be arranged is also disadvantageously pivoted when each individual wheel is pivoted.
  • the present invention is based on the object of designing a single-axle undercarriage of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that no track reduction occurs during sheet travel, that the drive and brake of the undercarriage can be arranged economically and without complex additional devices, that a magnetic rail brake is always radially above the rail and that remaining the disadvantages of the above-described embodiments can be avoided.
  • the axle consists of a stub axle fixedly arranged on the transverse ends of the frame with loose wheels mounted thereon, that the longitudinal linkage is widened at its end facing the vehicle and carries parallelogram links there with its other end on Vehicle are attached, the parallelogram links are horizontally and vertically pivoted.
  • This inventive design of the single-axle undercarriage advantageously avoids a reduction in track when the sheet is running.
  • the wheels of the undercarriage can adjust themselves radially to the track curve without longitudinal or transverse sliding between the wheel and rail.
  • the arrangement of a motor drive and the arrangement of brake units on the frame of the chassis is possible in a simple and economical manner.
  • the decoupling of the rotational movement of the chassis from the transverse play of the car body is advantageously given. Diving movements of the car body have no effect on the chassis.
  • an adjusting element for rotating the frame can be arranged between the frame of the undercarriage and the longitudinal linkage.
  • this actuating element which is to be actively influenced by the track position, the frame of the undercarriage and thus the wheels can be adjusted radially to the track curve in any curved position without being forced.
  • the frame of the undercarriage is divided into an axle support and a support frame, the axle support carrying the steering knuckle for the idler gears and the support frame supporting the pivot bearing for mounting on the longitudinal linkage and on its upper side devices for supporting the car body, and between Axle beam and support frame horizontal handlebars for guidance in the longitudinal and transverse directions and vertical primary spring elements are arranged.
  • This design of the frame of the undercarriage advantageously allows primary spring elements to be arranged to reduce the unsprung masses.
  • secondary springs or a slewing ring or slewing ring segments and secondary springs can be arranged between the support frame and the car body.
  • the idler gears 1 of the single-axle chassis are rotatably mounted on steering knuckles 2, the steering knuckles 2 being fixedly arranged on the transverse ends of the frame 3.
  • a horizontal pivot bearing 4 is arranged in the center 3 of the idler wheels at approximately the height of the axis in the frame 3.
  • a longitudinal link 5 is articulated at one end.
  • the longitudinal linkage 5 is widened at its other free end and there carries parallelogram links 6 which are attached to the vehicle 7 at their other end.
  • the parallelogram 6 are arranged both on the longitudinal linkage and on the vehicle 7 horizontally and vertically pivotable.
  • the frame 3 is divided into an axle beam 15 and a support frame 16.
  • the axle support 15 is horizontally U-shaped and pulled up on its legs running in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle to accommodate the steering knuckles 2.
  • the legs of the axle carrier can be extended and on its elongated ends carry the magnetic rail brake 17.
  • primary springs 18 are arranged on which the support frame 16 is mounted.
  • Axle beam 15 and support frame 16 are connected via spring leaf links 19 arranged in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle for guidance in the longitudinal and transverse directions.
  • the pivot bearing 4 is arranged on the support frame 16 in the center of the axis, approximately at the level of the axis of the idler gears.
  • the longitudinal linkage 5 is again rotatably supported, which is widened at its other end and carries parallelogram links 6 there, which are attached to the vehicle 7 at its other end.
  • the parallelogram link 6 is fastened to the longitudinal linkage and to the vehicle again vertically and horizontally pivotable.
  • Turntable segments 20 are arranged on the support frame 16 on both sides of the longitudinal center of the vehicle, on the upper side of which secondary springs 21 are fastened to support the rail vehicle.
  • an adjusting element 9 is arranged for unscrewing the frame 3 consisting of the axle support 15 and the support frame 16.
  • the drive and brake elements can be arranged on the axle carrier 15 or on the support frame 16 and act in a simple manner on the idler wheels 1. Diving movements of the vehicle 7 with respect to the frame 3 and transverse deflections of the vehicle 7 with respect to the frame 3 become unaffected the single-axle chassis taken up by the parallelogram links 6.
