Abstract

The prefabricated panel elements for the construction of insulating chambers consist of an interlocking element (1) surrounding an insulating core, and of a cover (2). The interlocking element and the cover can be either attached to each other or to a support structure. The panel elements are assembled to form walls and insulating chambers, in particular for the installation of air conditioning equipment, cooling plant and similar.

Description

The construction of thermally and / or acoustically insulated housings for accommodating air conditioning or cooling devices is known, which are usually housed in the basement, under the roof or outside the building.

These housings are composed of plate elements with standardized dimensions and have an inner insulation layer, which is encased by sheet metal. The assembly of the plate elements among themselves, or the fastening of these to a supporting structure in a known frame construction, is done by means of connecting or fastening elements which are fastened to the plate elements or are integrally formed on them. Such plate elements are known from the descriptions of US-A-3,372,520; FR-A-927.270; US-A-3,670,466; DE-A-30 42 109 known.

All the known plate elements, including those which are the subject of the abovementioned patents, are elements which surround an insulation core on all sides and have grooves, ribs, projections, claws or other mutual connecting and fastening elements on the outer surfaces. The production of such plate elements therefore requires the use of profiles with a ramified cross-section, sheet metal cut to size and various fastening elements, the latter being integrally formed or attached. The plate elements are manufactured in various operations using a specific device. The assembly of the plate elements into housings requires a load-bearing frame construction in which these plate elements are used and requires working chamfers such as alignment of lugs and the like, insertion of studs, screwing, whereby at the points of attachment of the fastening elements, where the corrosion-inhibiting layer is easily damaged, corrosion-prone external and / or internal surfaces arise where dust and condensation water settle and last but not least an unfavorable electro-chemical effect occurs due to the mutual contact of different metals. In addition, such surfaces are not smooth and therefore difficult to keep clean and unaesthetic.

Furthermore, DE-A-35 20 500 discloses a double-walled sheet metal element, which can be used in particular as a door leaf and panel; this consists of two identically designed sheet metal parts, which are rotated by 180 °, are connected to one another at least along their longitudinal edges by means of a fold-like, subsequently undetachable snap connection and enclose insulation. However, this construction is not suitable for a circumferential connection of several panels at a joint, since a connection that penetrates the circumferential contact surfaces is not possible because of the latching parts that extend over the majority of the panel thickness, and repeated opening of these panels with access to the insulation is not possible is provided. The two identical sheet metal parts of these panels both have identical locking parts which are arranged diagonally offset from one another, their shape stability is low, they are therefore unsuitable to withstand static loads which they e.g. exposed to walls in a modular manner in four directions, butt-jointed, without a load-bearing frame construction.

The invention has for its object to provide a plate element described above for the construction of isolation chambers for receiving air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, in which no fastening and assembly elements are visible from the outside, which has smooth outer surfaces, an internal, in a protected area, if necessary also afterwards has accessible fastening system, which can be manufactured inexpensively without a frame construction and is also corrosion-resistant at the metallic contact points of different parts (fastening element-plate wall).

This object is achieved in that a box-shaped, flat element which can be closed by a snap-on cover and which is filled with insulating material is used. Be it the box element or the lid can be made from sheet metal or plastic laminate.

The elastically deformable locking parts, which form the snap connection between the box element and the lid, are integrally formed on the lid and in particular contribute to its stiffening. The elastic latching part is provided along all four sides of the inside surface of the lid, while the seat for these latching parts is provided on all four edges of the box element, specifically within the circumferential wall that determines the box depth.

Be it the elastically deformable latching part on the lid or the corresponding seat on the box element, each has an identical cross-section and course for all four sides. The snap connection between the box element and the lid is of the type which also enables the lid to be dismantled at a later stage when the latching parts are elastically deformed. The insulation layer accommodated in the box element is preferably of the soft and / or flexible type such as glass fiber and the like, but the use of rigid or composite (rigid-flexible) insulation panels is not excluded.

The connection of the plate elements according to the invention with one another or with a supporting structure, with or without the interposition of seals, inserts or the like, consists in the use of known elements which are customary in sheet metal and laminate processing and which are on the inside of the box element before insertion the insulation layer and snapping on the cover. For the Attachment of these fasteners, such as self-tapping screws, blind rivets and the like, holes can already be provided or can be easily produced at the desired locations during assembly. The fastening elements are usually attached to the narrow circumferential wall area, which determines the depth of the box element, however, to form housing corners or partition walls, attachment to the bottom of the box element is not excluded; furthermore, there is the possibility of connecting box elements to the bottom facing one another. According to the invention, the connection system described also enables simple attachment of the plate elements, for example to profiles.

Weiters bietet sich dieses Befestigungssystem auch für die Anbringung von Zugankern, Auflagern und anderen, insbesondere an der Gehäuseinnenwand vorgesehenen, Teilen an.Furthermore, this fastening system is also suitable for attaching tie rods, supports and other parts, in particular those provided on the inside wall of the housing.

Seals or supplements can be inserted between the adjacent surfaces of the connected plate elements, which are held in the desired position by means of the fastening elements described.

Be it the lid or the bottom of the box element can have ribs or the like in order to increase their shape retention, for the same purpose the latching parts on the lid edges or the inwardly projecting wings of the box element, which form the seat for the latching parts, contribute.

A seal or insert can also be inserted between the peripheral edge of the lid and the corresponding stop on the box element; the mode of action of the elastic latching parts on the wings which form the seat on the box element is such that the snap-on cover is pulled towards the box element, with the possibly interposed seal being pressurized.

The possible, corrosion-inhibiting surface treatment of the box element and the lid can, according to the connection system according to the invention, only ever be damaged on an internal area.

The invention is explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment of plate elements according to the invention for the construction of insulating chambers for accommodating air conditioning and cooling devices, which is shown in the accompanying drawing. This schematic representation is purely explanatory, not restrictive.

Die Fig.1 zeigt einen Querschnitt durch die Verbindungsstelle zweier erfindungsgemäßer, in der selben Ebene liegender, Plattenelemente für den Bau von Isolierkammern zur Aufnahme von Klima- und Kühlgeräten.1 shows a cross section through the connection point of two plate elements according to the invention, lying in the same plane, for the construction of insulating chambers for accommodating air conditioning and cooling devices.

Die Fig.2 zeigt einen Querschnitt durch die Verbindungsstelle zweier erfindungsgemäßer Plattenelemente für den Bau von Isolierkammern zur Aufnahme von Klima- und Kühlgeräten, welche im rechten Winkel zueinander an einem Profil befestigt sind.2 shows a cross section through the connection point of two plate elements according to the invention for the construction of insulating chambers for accommodating air conditioning and cooling devices, which are fastened to a profile at right angles to one another.

The box element 1 has a circumferential wall 1a, which determines the depth of the box, this wall continues in a stop 1b, which extends in a plane lying parallel to the box bottom and ends in a wing 1c, which projects against the inside of the box and is inclined against the circumferential wall 1a. In particular, the stopper 1b and the wing 1c make a great contribution to giving the box element 1 remarkable shape retention. The cover 2 has a folded-up strip 2a in the region of the peripheral edge, which ends in an elastic latching part 2b with an insertion bevel 2c. The elastic latching part 2b including the insertion slope 2c can extend over the entire length of the sides or can be limited to certain areas. The folded strip 2a and the elastic latching parts 2b together with the chamfer 2c can contribute to the shape retention of the cover these extend over all four sides. The elastic latching part 2b is spread outwards with respect to the lid surface and, due to the elastic tension by resting on the wing 1c of the box element, causes the connection between the two parts (1-2) without preventing subsequent dismantling of the lid.

The assembly of the plate elements takes place according to the invention, before the insulation layer 7 is removed and the cover is snapped open, by means of known fastening elements 5 such as rivets, screws and the like, which fix the adjacent walls of the box elements (FIG. 1) or the walls of the box elements and penetrate those of an adjacent profile or the like (Fig. 2). Be it between the stop 1b of the box element 1 and the corresponding area 2a of the lid 2, as well as in the fastening area between the box elements 1, and between this and e.g. a profile tube 6, seals 3, 4, 4a or inserts can be inserted.

According to the invention, the insulation layer 7 can be separated into the box element 1 or snapped onto the lid to which it can be attached.
