Claims (12)

1. Dispositif de coulée pour métaux, comportant un élément de support tournant sans fin, sur lequel, en direction périphérique et successivement, sont transportables une pluralité de parties de coquille mobiles les unes par rapport aux autres par paire, représentant ensemble à chaque fois un tronçon de l'espace de coquille, et comportant des éléments de réglage, au moyen desquels l'espace de coquille, lequel est formé, sur un tronçon de la trajectoire de l'élément de support, à chaque fois par une partie des paires de parties de coquille adjacentes en direction périphérique, peut être fermé dans la zone d'amenée du métal et, vu en direction périphérique, peut être en outre ouvert à un écartement prédéfi- ni, caractérisé par les particularités suivantes:
- l'élément de support est réalisé sous forme de chaîne sans fin (5), qui est supportée, dans la zone d'amenée du métal et de l'extrémité (7b) de l'espace de coquille, sur une roue à chaîne avant ou arrière (2 ou 3);
- toutes les surfaces de contact (6e, 6f), grâce auxquelles peuvent s'appuyer l'une contre l'autre les parties de coquille (6a, 6b) de chaque paire de parties de coquille (6), présentent le même angle d'inclinaison par rapport à un plan de référence (7c) et se chevauchent réciproquement dans la position de fermeture;
- chaque paire (6) de parties de coquille est munie, à l'extérieur de la chaîne sans fin (5), de plusieurs galets d'appui (20 à 22) orientés différemment, qui, au moins dans la zone de l'espace de coquille, maintiennent en appui l'une contre l'autre les parties de coquille (6a, 6b) correspondantes en formant un tronçon de l'espace de coquille, de façon adjacente à des guides stationnaires (23, 24, 29 ou 34, 35, 29).
2. Dispositif selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que chaque partie de coquille (6a, 6b) porte un tronçon de paroi de coquille (6c, 6d), qui, vu perpendiculairement à l'axe longitudinal (7a) de l'espace de coquille, présente une forme d'angle.
3. Dispositif selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que la chaîne sans fin (5) est équipée de roulements (16), qui, au moins dans la zone de l'espace de coquille, s'appuient sur une glissière (17).
4. Dispositif selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que, à chaque paire (6) de parties de coquille sur la chaîne sans fin (5), sont associées deux paires successives de roulements (16).
5. Dispositif selon une des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce que, à chaque fois, la partie de coquille (6b) de chaque paire (6) de parties de coquille, laquelle porte de tronçon de paroi de coquille (6d) extérieur par rapport à la chaîne sans fin (5), est mobile par rapport à la chaîne sans fin.
6. Dispositif selon une des revendication 1 à 5, caractérisé en ce que la partie de coquille (6b) de chaque paire (6), mobile par rapport à la chaîne sans fin (5), est munie, à chaque fois, de deux galets d'appui (20, 21).
7. Dispositif selon la revendication 6, caractérisé en ce que la partie de coquille (6a) fixe par rapport à la chaîne sans fin est muni d'un galet d'appui (22) qui fait face à l'un des galets d'appui (21) de la partie de coquille mobile (6b) par rapport à l'espace de coquille (7).
8. Dispositif selon une des revendications 1 à 6, caractérisé en ce que chaque paire de parties de coquille (6) est munie d'un guidage droit (32), sur lequel la partie de coquille mobile (6b) est maintenue mobile par rapport à la partie de coquille fixe (6a) perpendiculairement à l'axe longitudinal (7a) de l'espace de coquille.
9. Dispositif selon la revendication 6 ou 7, caractérisé en ce que chaque paire (6) de parties de coquille est munie d'un joint tournant (19), grâce auquel la partie de coquille mobile (6b) est maintenue pivotante par rapport à la partie de coquille fixe (6a).
10. Dispositif selon la revendication 9, caractérisé en ce que le joint tournant (19) présente un jeu (s), lequel permet un mouvement de compensation, correspondant à la contraction du métal, des parties de coquille (6a, 6b) adjacentes.
11. Dispositif selon la revendication 9 ou 10, caractérisé en ce que chaque paire de parties de coquille (6) est munie d'un organe élastique (31), grâce auquel la partie de coquille mobile (6b) peut pivoter dans la position d'ouverture.
12. Dispositif selon une des revendications 6 à 10, caractérisé en ce que chaque partie de coquille mobile (6b) se trouve alternativement contre un guidage de fermeture (29 ou 35) et un guidage d'ouverture (30 ou 34) par un de ses galets d'appui (20, 21), guidages qui présentent un tronçon de réglage (29a ou 30a) provoquant un mouvement d'ouverture ou de fermeture.
