The suction conveyor is a suction belt conveyor, the suction box (2) with rotating suction belts (5) extending over the braking device (13) and the entire stacking point (12). The braking device (13) consists of a circumferential belt (15) supported at the top by a suction chamber (14), the upper run (15.1) of which extends to the stacking point (12). This ensures that the sheets are guided precisely during the laying process and do not float freely. Large, not dimensionally stable sheets are transported to a stacking point (12) by a suction conveyor. A braking device (13) prevents uncontrolled sailing and fluttering of the sheets when they are put down.

Description

The invention relates to a device for depositing sheets onto stacks according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

In numerous production processes, it is necessary to continuously deposit large, non-dimensionally stable sheets at high speed on stacks, e.g. in the production of impregnated sheets of paper for coating panels or in the production of plastic films.

Since the sheets must not be pushed over one another due to their instability, suction conveyors are preferably used, on which they are conveyed by vacuum and can be thrown off by interrupting the vacuum. The required braking of the sheets in front of the stacking point is carried out by a braking device which engages the sheet ends and which conveys at a significantly lower speed than the suction conveyor. For this purpose, the bow ends are pressed by a deflection device from the suction conveyor onto the braking device.

Such a generic device is described in DE-AS 2348320. The suction conveyor consists of suction conveyor rollers or belts which are arranged at a distance from one another along the conveying path, the space being bridged by floating bars with blowing nozzles, so that the sheets are conveyed in a floating manner on this route. At a distance from the stacking point, a suction brake roller is arranged below the conveying plane, onto which the incoming sheet ends are pressed with a deflection device consisting of several cams arranged on a common shaft. The last suction conveyor roller - in the direction of transport - is arranged at the beginning of the stacking point. Your vacuum is switched off periodically so that the detachment of the bow ends is promoted. The sheets leaving the suction brake roller have a residual speed which allows them to slide against a stop of the tray until they strike.

With this device, large sheets can only be deposited at a limited speed. Large arches (typical dimensions: 1500 - 6000 mm length, 500 - 4000 mm width) start at speeds of approx. 150 m / min. to sail and flutter when the transport is suspended and the storage is suspended so that stacking with exact edges is no longer possible.

The invention has for its object to provide a generic device with which large sheets can be deposited even at high speed.

This object is achieved by the combination of features of patent claim 1.

Until the end of the depositing process, the sheets are guided precisely at their beginning by the suction belt conveyor and at their end by the brake band. The storage takes place in such a way that the ends of the sheets are simultaneously pulled off the suction belts during braking from the brake band. During this process, the beginning of the sheet is held in place by the suction belts until the end of the stack is reached. At no time do the arches float freely.

A further advantage is that several successive sheets can be braked simultaneously by the brake band, the beginning of each sheet partially interrupting the negative pressure of the previous sheet on the suction belt conveyor and thus assisting its detachment from the suction belt conveyor.

The subclaims contain preferred embodiments of a stacking device according to the invention.

By the guide strips according to claim 2, the friction of the arches on the underside of the suction box is significantly reduced. At the same time, the distribution of the vacuum between the suction box and the bends can be adjusted. The friction of the arches on the underside of the suction box is further reduced by the feature of claim 3.

While the device according to claim 4 can be set to different sheet widths, in the embodiment according to claim 5 the pressure zones can be acted upon in the transport direction to save energy and to optimize the depositing process with a decreasing negative pressure.

The embodiment according to claim 6 enables a lower belt tension and thus a lower drive power without a pressure drop occurring due to the suction of false air.

In the particularly advantageous embodiment of the braking device according to claim 7, the bow ends for pulling the sheets from the suction belt conveyor and for placing them on the stack are guided on an optimal path.

Claim 8 contains a deflection device with which the bow ends can be pressed gently and sufficiently long on the brake band.

In the speed conditions according to claim 9, braking and pulling the sheets from the suction belt conveyor is optimally matched to the speed of the incoming sheets.

As can be seen from FIG. 1, a stacking device according to the invention has a base frame 1, in which a suction box 2, which is divided into three suction zones 2.1-2.3 in the conveying direction, is suspended at a height above the maximum stacking height. An independently controllable suction fan 3 is connected to each suction zone 2.1 - 2.3. The width of the suction box 2 corresponds to the width of the sheets to be stacked. As can be seen from FIG. 3, it is encircled by three suction belts 5.1 - 5.3 driven by rollers 4 and provided with elongated holes on its underside in the conveying direction - from left to right in FIG. 1. The lower run of each suction belt 5 lies against two parallel guide strips 6 attached to the underside of the suction box 2, between which the suction box underside is broken through along the entire conveying path by suction openings 7.

Two (5.1, 5.3) of the suction belts 5 run on the side edges, one (5.2) in the middle of the suction box 2. They are returned via deflection rollers 8 above the suction box 2. Between the pairs of guide strips 6, parallel spacer strips 9 are fastened to the underside of the suction box and keep the arches at a distance from the underside of the suction box.

The guide and spacer strips 6 and 9 do not run exactly horizontally along the conveyor path, but along a downward curved line in order to adapt to the sag of the suction belts 5. In the described embodiment, this is achieved in that the individual suction zones 2.1-2.3 do not come into contact with one another in an aligned but rather angled manner. The guide strips 6 thus run along a section from a polygon circumference.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the outer suction belts 5.1, 5.3 can be displaced transversely, and there are also suction openings 10 between each inner one of the associated guide strips 6 and the respectively adjacent spacer strip 9. The suction openings 7 and 10 can be closed with a perforated plate 11 which can be displaced transversely. which are each not covered by suction straps 5. The adjacent spacer strips 9 thus take over the function of guide strips if sheets with a smaller width are to be stacked.

Die Förderstrecke des Saugriemenförderers 2,5 erstreckt sich somit über die gesamte Länge der Stapelstelle 12.On the outlet side, below the suction box 2, there is a stacking point 12 with a height-adjustable stacking table, e.g. a scissor lift table. The conveyor path of the suction belt conveyor 2, 5 thus extends over the entire length of the stacking point 12.

Der Antrieb der Bänder 15 erfolgt über eine Antriebsrolle 17 unterhalb der Saugkammer 14.In the transport direction immediately in front of the stacking point 12, a braking device 13 is attached below the suction box 2 on vertical stands of the frame 1, which is shown enlarged in FIG. The braking device 13 is built up from an evacuable suction chamber 14 which extends across the width of the suction box and is surrounded by three driven, perforated bands (brake bands 15). The cross section through the suction chamber 14 has approximately the shape of a standing kite with rounded corners. The two upper boundary surfaces 14.1, 14.2 - they support the upper runs 15.1 of the brake bands 15 - are angled at an obtuse angle. The inlet-side upper boundary surface 14.1 slightly rises in the transport direction against the horizontal, the outlet-side upper boundary surface 14.2 either runs horizontally or - as in the present example, is slightly inclined in the transport direction. The outlet-side deflection roller 16 of the upper runs 15.1 of the brake bands 15 is arranged directly in front of the stacking point 12. The belts 15 are driven by a drive roller 17 below the suction chamber 14.

Above the rising upper boundary surface 14.1 of the suction chamber 14, a driven shaft 17 is mounted transversely in the longitudinal members of the frame 1 which carry the suction box 2. On the shaft 17, three rotary brushes 18 are distributed over the width of the suction box 2, which has cutouts at the corresponding points for this purpose. Each rotary brush 18 is built up from a cylindrical base body 18.1, which is circumferentially at an angle between 180 ° and 270 °, in the present example 220 °, with radially protruding bristles 18.2 which become longer on one side. The rotary brushes 18 are arranged in such a way that they completely disappear into the suction box 2 during one revolution and thus do not hinder the entry of an arc, and also extend with their most radially projecting bristles 18.2 to the brake bands 15.

To illustrate the mode of operation of a stacking device according to the invention, FIG. 5 shows a snapshot during the laying down.

The sheets 19 to be stacked - in the present example impregnated sheets of paper of approximately 5300 mm in length and approximately 1800 mm in width - are continuously fed to the suction belt conveyor 2.5 at a certain distance from one another by a belt conveyor (not shown). From this, they are suspended from the vacuum on the suction belt 5, at a speed of approx. 240 m / min. transported to the stacking station 12. The rotational speed of the rotary brush 18 is so synchronized with the speed of the suction belt 5 that when the sheets 19 enter the region above the brake band 15 the peripheral part not covered with bristles 18.2 points downwards, ie the brush 18 is immersed in the suction box 2.

When the bow end has reached this area, it is knocked off by the bristles 18.2 that appear at this point on the brake band 15, the longest bristles 18.2 hitting the bow first.

Since the suction forces of the brake belt 15 are set greater than those of the suction belt conveyor 2.5, the sheets 19 are braked at this moment to the speed of the brake belt 15, which is only 1/8 - 1/15, in the present case 1/10, of the suction belt conveyor is 2.5. The sheets 19 are still held at their front part by the suction belt conveyor 2.5. Due to the downward-acting component of the braking force, they are withdrawn from the end of the suction belt 5 during further transport. The detachment is supported by the subsequent sheets 19, which partially interrupt the underpressure of the preceding sheets 19 at their still unbraked entry into the area of the stacking point 12 and thus peel them off from the suction belts 5.

When the end of a sheet 19 has reached the end of the upper run 15.1 of the brake band 15 - the stacking point 12 begins there - the beginning of the sheet is at the end of the stacking point 12 and has just detached from the suction belt 5. The sheet 19 is thus placed on the stack with exact edges, the height of which is adapted to the position of the upper run 15.1 of the brake band 15 by lowering the stacking table.

To make it easier to knock off the ends of the sheet and to detach the beginning of the sheet from the suction belts 5, the individual zones 2.1-2.3 of the printing box 2 are subjected to a decreasing negative pressure in the transport direction.

The first negative pressure zone 2.1 with the greatest negative pressure extends into the region of the rotary brush 18 in order to compensate for the pressure losses occurring at the cutouts in the pressure box 2.

Another preferred embodiment of a stacking device according to the invention, which is not shown, has two stacking points arranged one behind the other in the conveying direction, each with a brake band, in order to enable the full stack to be exchanged during operation.
