A device of the generic type is in the WO 94/25384 A1 described. Such devices are used for stacking sheets behind continuous sheet transport machines such as cross-cutters or presses. In a first step, they generate a scale stream from the sheets fed in succession, which is then deposited on a stack.

The length of the usually stored on pallets sheets can be significantly larger than the sheet width and be 1 m and more.

The in the WO 94/25384 A1 described device is very compact. Their length between the braking device and the beginning of the stacking area is less than the maximum processable arc length.

The US 3,941,374 A discloses a device for stacking individual single-length sheets with one or more suction conveyors or belts having conveyor that promotes the sequentially entered sheet from the input to the tray with a defined conveying speed, and with a arranged in front of the filing brake device, the deflects the end of each sheet downwards from the conveying plane and reduces the conveying speed to a velocity ensuring disturbance-free depositing, wherein the suction effect of the suction conveying roller arranged in the vicinity of the braking device is perforated only on a peripheral part and circulates in such a way that the perforated one follows the course of the sheet input Peripheral part of the suction conveyor roller synchronously with the beginning of each sheet is running and the unperforated peripheral part of the suction conveyor roller faces the end of each sheet, when the sheet end is in the range of which also in time with the bow input effective braking device is located.

The JP 2004 43106 A discloses a cut sheet ejecting device having a rotary cutting tool which cuts a strip and separates the sheet by means of an upper suction conveyor belt which feeds the sheet while being sucked, and a peeling member which sucks the rear end portion of the sheet by the means on the upper suction conveyor belt peels. At the entrance of the lower suction conveyor belt, a suction roll is formed and the pull-off member is arranged to push the trailing end of the sheet to the suction roll. Furthermore, the disclosure JP 2004 43106 A a suction box which picks up the sheet with the lower suction conveyor belt and conveys it to the stack and gradually deposits it on the stack as the suction force is reduced. The invention has for its object to improve a compact device of the generic type so that they can also store sheets of sensitive papers at great speed.

This object is achieved in that the nozzles of the support air strips arranged above the stack area are designed so that compressed air exits in the sheet conveying direction. This creates a partial negative pressure in the area of the nozzles, which pulls the sheet with little force against the carrying air strip. At the same time, the outflowing compressed air exerts a force on the sheet in the conveying direction. In the area between the braking device and the stacking area, a suction belt is arranged above the conveying plane, which is movable in the conveying direction with the fast Zufördergeschwindigkeit and the negative pressure clocked switched on and off.

The effect of these features is that both in the region of the braking device in the formation of the scale flow as well as in the stacking area, the respective foremost sheet is pulled forward at its front edge and kept so taut. If the sheet trailing edge has reached the area of the braking device, then the negative pressure is switched off, so that the sheet moves down to hang up on the sheet leading in the scale flow.

So that the negative pressure in the suction belt arranged between the braking device and the stacking area can be reduced as quickly as possible, it is preferably additionally connected to an overpressure source, which is activated after the negative pressure has been switched off.

So that the leading edges of sensitive sheets do not move in the stacking area during forward movement on the stack over the already deposited sheets and are compressed or damaged, at the end of the stacking area in front of the leading edge stop a second extending in the conveying direction and can be acted upon with vacuum suction belt. Preferably, this suction belt moves at the speed of the scale flow and has two suction zones in succession in the conveying direction, so that at the end of the stop a lower negative pressure than before can be set. This prevents that the sheet leading edge is moved with too much force against the leading edge stops and thereby damage them.

Preferably, in the rear stacking area extending in each case next to the supporting air strips extending additional suction, which support the supporting effect of the installed Tragluftleisten. Particularly in the area of the shingled arc current, the unsatisfactory supporting effect of the carrying air strips can be effectively supplemented.

The braking device is advantageously designed so that below the Zuförderebene a connected to a vacuum source suction box is arranged with suction openings on its upper side, which can be opened and closed in a clocked manner. Preferably, the braking device includes two in the conveying direction successively arranged suction boxes, which are clocked independently activated. This arrangement makes it possible to turn off the back in the conveying direction suction box early, and to avoid accidental sucking the subsequent fast bow. Due to the arrangement of the second suction chamber, the sheet can be strongly sucked over a longer period and way. This effect is advantageous to isolate the bow from the tensile forces of the support bars.

A downwardly blowing tuyere, positioned above the suction box and above the conveying plane, aids in the downward movement of the trailing edge of the sheet by pressing it against the suction box.

The drawing serves to explain the invention with reference to a simplified embodiment illustrated.

The cross cutter shown in the figures used for the production of paper or cardboard sheets from a continuously fed web 1. The web 1 is withdrawn by means of a preferred roller 2 of a roller 3, which is mounted in a unwinding device. Behind the feed rollers 2 follows a cross-cutting device 4, which includes an upper, circumferentially equipped with a transverse knife cutterhead and a lower fixed knife. It is also possible to use two rotating knife drums. During the passage between the two blades of the cross cutter 4, the web 1 is divided into individual sheets 5. The sheets 5 are taken from above and below their conveying plane arranged bands 6, 7, which promote with a little increased speed to the sheets 5 taut hold. In the area of the withdrawal belts 6, 7, a curved switch 8 is arranged, which serves for the discharge of defective sheets 9. The bow lock leads to a container 10, in which the defective sheets 9 are collected. Behind the curved switch 8, the sheets 5 are guided between a further lower belt 11 and the upper belts of the discharge belts 7 to the subsequently arranged braking device, which produces as part of an overlapping device a scale flow from the sheets, which is then stored on a stack.

The braking device includes at least one arranged below the feed plane suction box with suction ports on the top, which can be opened and closed in clocked for sucking a sheet trailing edge. In the exemplary embodiment, the braking device comprises two suction boxes 12, 13 arranged one behind the other in the conveying direction, the upper side of which is revolved by slow perforated belts 14 running at the braked speed. The suction ports of the suction boxes 12, 13 can be opened and closed in cycles to pull the trailing edge of a sheet down onto the low speed belt 14. The bow is braked to the depositing speed.

Die Vorderkante des nachfolgend einlaufenden Bogens 5 bewegt sich so störungsfrei über die Hinterkante des vorhergehenden Bogens 16.Above the suction boxes 12, 13 and above the conveying plane a downwardly blowing tuyere 15 is arranged, from which the sheet trailing edge is pressed with a strong flow of air down to the suction box 12. The blowing air of the tuyere 15 is cyclically switched on and off, so that in the off state, the leading edge of the following sheet 5 can slide over the trailing edge of the previous sheet 16. The two suction boxes 12, 13 are clocked independently activated. This makes it possible to turn off the negative pressure in the front suction box 12, while the negative pressure in the rear suction box 13 is still active. The leading edge of the following incoming sheet 5 moves so smoothly over the trailing edge of the previous sheet 16th

In the region between the braking device (suction boxes 12, 13) and the stacking area at least one circulating suction belt 17 is arranged extending in the conveying direction above the conveying plane. Preferably, a plurality of parallel suction belts 17 are arranged transversely at a distance from each other. The suction belts 17 each circulate a suction box 18, which builds up a bow pulling up negative pressure. To very quickly alternately a negative pressure on and off again, the suction boxes 18 are connected to both a vacuum and a pressure source.

By means of the Tragluftleisten 19, the leading edge of a newly incoming sheet 5 is pulled up and held there and transported at high speed safely over the already braked and scaly sheet stream. By means of the circulating suction belts 17 is an exact control of the movement speed and position of the newly incoming sheet 5 possible after the trailing edge has left the belt sections 7 and 11.

To reinforce the holding effect 19 additional flat, downwardly open suction nozzles 32 are arranged between the suction belts 17 and the Tragluftleisten, which apply an additional negative pressure on the sheet top.

The leading edges of the already shingled sheets 16 are conveyed in a floating manner through the carrying air strips 19 and suction nozzles 31 into the stacking area. The trailing edges of the scalloped sheets 16 are taken after leaving the suction zones 12, 13 of a further suction zone 33 and transported to the storage area to the rear alignment elements 26. For certain papers can be stored without the second suction zone 33. It then follows the tray directly after the suction zone 13 on the stack.

To transport a sheet into the stacking area extending through the stacking area arranged in parallel and each transversely adjustable Tragluftleisten 19, which have at their bottom nozzles from which emerges compressed air, which is supplied from a compressed air source 20. The nozzles of each carrier air strip 19 are designed so that compressed air exits in the sheet conveying direction and so a bow 16, as in FIG. 3 shown, with its leading edge promotes against stops 21, from which it is stopped. The stops 21 take over the alignment of the sheet leading edge. The stopped sheets 16 sink to the top of the stack 23 resting on a pallet 22 while being laterally aligned by alignment members 24, 25. The alignment of the trailing edge is effected by means of a transversely arranged alignment element 26, which is shaken as well as the lateral alignment elements 24, 25.

At the end of the stacking area and in the middle thereof, a further suction belt 27 extending in the conveying direction is arranged in front of the end stops 21, above the feed plane, which can be subjected to negative pressure. The suction belt 27 preferably has two suction zones arranged one behind the other in the conveying direction, which are formed by suction chambers 28, 29, which can be acted on with different negative pressure. The suction chambers 28, 29 are circulated by the suction belt 27, wherein by means of the front suction chamber 28, a greater negative pressure is set than by means of the rear suction chamber 29. This makes it possible to reduce the conveying force to a sheet 16 immediately before reaching the stops 21.

In order to prevent premature and uncontrolled dropping of a sheet 16 from the Zuförderebene in the stacking area, 19 each additional Saugleisten 31 are arranged next to the Tragluftleisten, each having a slot-shaped, next to the Tragluftleisten 19 extending suction and together build a planar negative pressure on the top of the leading edge of an incoming sheet 16 acts.
