Definitions

  • the invention relates to a towel holder, in particular for a shower or bathtub partition, with a support rod which can be fastened by means of connecting parts in a vertical fastening plane to a wall with the longitudinal axis aligned horizontally, and with a pull-out rod which is aligned with its axis to the longitudinal axis of the support rod and is arranged axially displaceable with respect to this.
  • Such a towel holder is known from DE-PS 35 26 730.
  • the pull-out rod consists of one piece and can, if necessary, be pushed into or pulled out of the carrying rod. In the pulled-out position, there is a risk that a person "gets caught” on the rod, which can damage the towel holder or even injure the person. This is all the more true when such a towel holder is installed in a bathroom or shower room, where there is often not too much free movement space available for one person.
  • the invention has for its object to develop the towel holder of the type mentioned with little effort to ensure safer handling and the risk of damage to the towel holder or even injury to a person is reduced. Furthermore, the towel holder should have good stability and high functional reliability with a simple construction.
  • the pull-out rod consists of at least two parts which are connected to one another by means of a hinge, the hinge axis being arranged essentially parallel to the fastening plane and perpendicular to the axis of the pull-out rod.
  • the towel holder according to the invention is characterized by a simple construction and the difficulties explained at the outset when the pull-out bar is fully or only partially extended are avoided with simple means.
  • the hinge enables the front part of the pull-out rod to be pivoted easily.
  • the front part of the pull-out bar can be easily pivoted in front of the entry area if necessary, so that a user can easily grab a towel hung on the front part of the pull-out bar.
  • the hinge expediently has latching means in order to predefine a defined angular position of the front part of the pull-out rod in relation to the rear part thereof or the carrying rod.
  • positions offset by 90 ° are specified so that the front part of the pull-out rod can be set to the desired position for the respective application.
  • the towel holder can also be attached to a wall of the room, so that a towel or garment hung on the front part pivoted away from the wall can be gripped very easily.
  • the pull-out rod or its two parts are designed as a hollow profile, so that the hinge can be inserted and fastened into the inner cavity with appropriately designed pins.
  • the pins of the two hinge halves expediently have somewhat protruding cams or the like over the outer surface, so that the pin can be inserted into the cavity without problems and is held with a press fit due to the deformation of the cams what is important for cost-effective production.
  • the pull-out rod is arranged displaceably within the support rod, which is hollow on the inside, the outer contour and / or the outer dimensions of the hinge being at most as large as the cross section of the inner cavity of the support rod.
  • the two-part pull-out rod can be arranged coaxially with the carrying rod and the two-part pull-out rod can be moved together with the hinge into the inside of the carrying rod or pulled out of it. If the two parts of the pull-out rod are telescopically pushed into the support rod, only one grip piece from the upper part is visible, on which grip piece a user can grip and pull the two parts out of the support rod if necessary.
  • the pull-out rod is arranged parallel to the support rod and has a guide part at the free end of the rear part, which at least partially encompasses the support rod.
  • the pull-out rod is located in a plane parallel to the support rod, namely when the support rod is viewed horizontally behind it.
  • the connecting part has an opening offset to the support rod, in which the pull-out rod is guided and can be displaced along its axis.
  • Fig. 1 shows a shower partition, the 2, 4 is arranged above a shower tray not shown here in the corner between two Jardinican.
  • This shower partition contains slidably arranged doors 6 in the entry area, which are suspended and guided in rails 8, 10 of a frame.
  • the shower partition contains a fixed side wall 12, which is placed on the upper edge 14 of the shower tray and with which a room wall 2 is connected in a manner not to be further explained here.
  • the side wall 12 contains two vertical profile rails 16, 18, to which connecting parts 20, 22 of the towel holder are fastened.
  • the outer surfaces of the profile rails 16, 18 define the vertical fastening surface of the towel holder.
  • the towel holder contains a horizontally oriented support rod 24 which is hollow on the inside and is connected to the connecting parts 20, 22.
  • the support rod 24 is designed as a hollow profile, in the free interior of which a pull-out rod 26 is arranged displaceably in the direction of the double arrows 28, the longitudinal axis 29.
  • the pull-out rod 26 contains two parts 30, 32 which are connected to one another in an articulated manner by means of a hinge 34.
  • the hinge 34 has a vertically aligned hinge axis 36.
  • the hinge axis 36 is parallel to the mounting plane and essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 29.
  • the front part 32 of the extension rod 26 is pivoted according to the drawing by an angle of 90 ° around the hinge axis 36 with respect to the rear part 30 or the support rod 24.
  • the front part 32 can be pivoted according to the two double arrows 38 into the positions shown in broken lines, which are defined by locking means.
  • the front part 32 In the position shown, the front part 32 is located before the shower partition, so that a towel 40 hung thereon can be easily gripped by a user after showering.
  • the problem-free insertion into the support rod 24 is ensured. Due to the subdivision of the extension rod and the pivotability of the front part 32, the risk of damage or injury to a person is avoided.
  • the outer dimensions of the hinge 34 correspond essentially to the outer dimensions of the parts 30, 32 and can therefore be pushed into the support rod 24 with them.
  • a handle 42 is arranged, which is in the inserted state close to the connecting part 22 and can be gripped by a user to pull out the pull-out rod.
  • FIG. 2 shows an enlarged view of the hinge 34, the two elements 44, 46 of the same design which can be pivoted relative to one another by a pivot 48.
  • the element 46 is indicated by dashed lines and the following explanations for the element 44 also correspond to the element 46.
  • the element 44 contains two axially spaced articulated parts 50, 52, through the central bores 53 of which the pivot pin 48 is guided.
  • the articulated parts 50, 52 are arranged on a middle piece 54, which contains locking lugs 56 pointing towards the pin 48.
  • the joint parts 50, 52 are provided with correspondingly designed locking grooves 58.
  • the element 44 has on the other side of the middle piece 54 an approximately rectangular pin 56, on the outer surface of which longitudinally extending cams 62 are arranged.
  • the element 44 is inserted with the pin 66 into the free interior of the part 30 of the pull-out rod designed as a hollow profile. It is essential that the articulated part 44 is pushed into the extension rod with a press fit, with the cams 62 ensuring sufficient deformability and manufacturing tolerances being compensated for in a functionally reliable manner.
  • FIG. 3 shows a view of the element 44, three latching grooves 58 of the joint part 50 now being clearly visible.
  • These locking grooves 58 are each offset by 90 ° to one another, the central locking groove being arranged in the longitudinal plane 64, in which the longitudinal axis of the support rod lies in particular.
  • the central locking groove 58 therefore specifies the straight alignment of the two parts of the extension rod.
  • the parts of the pull-out rod that are aligned with one another in this way can be pushed into the support rod in a functionally reliable manner.
  • the locking lug 56 on the center piece 54 also lies in the longitudinal plane 64. If the corresponding locking lug of the other element is engaged in the central locking groove 58 by the element 44, the pins of the two hinge elements are aligned in a straight line to one another.
  • FIG. 4 shows the element 44 in a view of the pin 60, the four cams 62 arranged in the longitudinal direction being clearly visible here. These cams are pressed together when inserted into the interior of the pull-out rod part and a tight fit is ensured even with the approval of relatively large manufacturing tolerances.
  • FIG. 5 shows an enlarged view of the joint part 50, the dashed line 66 indicating the corresponding joint part of the other element, which is provided with corresponding locking grooves 58.
  • the catch 56 of the element 44 engages in the indicated catch groove 58.
  • FIG. 6 shows a particularly stable embodiment, according to which the two parts 30, 32 and the hinge 34 are arranged parallel to the support rod 24 behind the latter.
  • the axis 27 of the rear part 30 of the pull-out rod is parallel to the longitudinal axis 29 of the support rod 24.
  • the guide part 68 contains a bearing opening 70 through which the support rod 24 extends.
  • the contour of this bearing opening 70 is matched to the outer contour of the support rod 24 and expediently has a rectangular cross section in the context of this invention.
  • the front connecting part 22 also has an opening 72 which is adapted to the outer contour of the extension rod 26.
  • the two parts 30, 32 and the hinge 34, the outer contour of which is not larger than the parts mentioned, can be pushed through the opening 72.
  • the opening 72 is offset in the horizontal plane behind the support rod 24.
  • the height 74 of the pull-out rod is essentially the same size as the vertical height of the support rod 24 in the context of this invention Size of the inner cavity of the support rod 24 are formed and therefore has a significantly improved stability compared to the above-described embodiment. A high level of functional reliability is ensured with little effort and damage, in particular of the hinge, is reliably avoided.
  • the guide part 68 connected to the rear part 30 is clearly visible.
  • the rear edge 76 of the connecting part 22 forms a stop for the guide part 68 and inadvertent pulling out of the pull-out rod 26 is prevented with little effort.
  • the guide part 68 is arranged and pressed according to the above-mentioned pin inside the rear part 30.
  • Fig. 8 shows the towel holder in the inserted state of the pull-out rod 26.
  • the handle 42 protrudes beyond the front edge 78 of the connecting part 22 and can be gripped and gripped by a user.
  • the length of the grip piece 42 is a few centimeters and, in addition, gripping and overall handling are not significantly improved in a simple manner by circumferential grooves.
  • FIG. 9 shows a view of the hinge 34 corresponding to FIG. 2, namely on the same scale as this.
  • the hinge 34 is cut in the region of the latch 56, which is arranged on a lever 82.
  • the element 44 and also the element 46 are hollow due to an inner recess 84.
  • the lever 82 formed in this way and consisting of a resilient plastic enables the locking lug 56 to deflect in the direction of the arrow 88 when the element 46 is rotated about the hinge axis 36, as a result of which pivoting is facilitated and the risk of damage due to excessive force exerted by the user is not insignificant is reduced.
  • the lock grooves defined by the angular positions will be a good Ar - ret ist achieved.
  • FIG. 10 shows a section through the element 44 in the section plane X-X according to FIG. 9.
  • the recess 84 and also the gap 87 are clearly visible.
  • the locking lug 56 arranged on the lever 82 allows a spring-elastic evasion of the locking lug in the direction of arrow 88 to the rear in a simple manner.
