Definitions

  • the invention relates to a heat exchanger according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Heat exchangers of this type which can be used in particular for refrigerant evaporators, have been proposed in the unpublished DE-A 3 502 619 (or the corresponding FR-A 2 576 678).
  • tubes must be provided at the outer ends of the tube block formed from flat tubes, which have only one opening in the expanded part, which adjoins the adjacent tube.
  • the other side which determines the end of the heat exchanger, must be closed.
  • the heat exchanger is to be provided with different pipe runs, i.e. that is, if the heat exchange medium is to be zigzagged through the flat tubes or through groups of these.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of constructing a heat exchanger of the type mentioned at the outset in a simpler and more installation-friendly manner. This is achieved in a heat exchanger of the type mentioned by the characterizing features of claim 1.
  • all flat tubes can be of the same design and can each be provided with two opposite openings in the expanded parts.
  • the closure of individual openings can then optionally be carried out where it is desired, with only an exchange of the caps provided anyway for closing the pipe ends having to be carried out. It is also advantageous that after the caps have been put on, it can also be checked from the outside at any time where one of the two openings of the flat tube is closed, ie. H. where, for example, a new pipe run begins.
  • a heat exchanger (1) in the form of a refrigerant evaporator which consists of several identically designed flat tubes (2), each provided with an end region (2a) which is enlarged relative to the central part (2b) and with these end areas, which have the shape of an oval, are placed directly against one another.
  • the expanded parts (2a) are each provided on the two opposite and parallel wall sides with openings (5) which are flush with one another when the flat tubes are placed against one another, since all flat tubes are of identical design. This is also brought about by the fact that (see FIG. 1) the right-hand opening of each enlarged part (2a) is provided with an outwardly projecting nozzle (110) which fits into the opening (5) of the adjacent part ( 2a) fits in.
  • All flat tubes (2) can therefore be put together with their expanded parts (2a) by this design and mutually fixed in position before they are soldered.
  • a fin insert (11) is used between two adjacent flat tubes (2), which serves to increase the heat exchange between the flat tubes and the medium flowing between them.
  • air is passed in the direction of the drawing plane through these intermediate spaces and through the rib inserts (11), which is cooled as the refrigerant evaporator flows through.
  • Turbulence inserts (14) are provided within the central region (2b) of each flat tube and are inserted into the tubes in a manner not described here.
  • the heat exchanger (1) is closed to the outside by side parts (13), which can be soldered to the flat tubes or attached to the flat tube block in some other way.
  • the refrigerant or the heat exchange medium is supplied and removed through the supply line (15) and through the discharge line (16).
  • All flat tubes (2) are sealed at both ends by caps (3) or (4) and thus form a flat tube block into which the heat exchange medium can be introduced via the feed line (15).
  • caps (3) or (4) In order to ensure that the heat exchange medium flows through the flat tube block as evenly as possible, it is initially provided that adjacent tubes (2) are closed at the top by caps (4) adjacent to the flat tube (2 ') to which the heat exchange medium is supplied , as will be explained with reference to FIGS. 4 to 6, bowl-shaped, but with depressions (6) are provided, each having wall parts (7) which are designed such that when the cap (4) is inserted they can close one of the two openings (5) in the expanded parts (2a) of the flat tubes.
  • caps (3) are sealed with caps (3), the shape of which is also clear from FIGS. 7 to 9. Due to the design according to the invention, it is therefore sufficient to keep flat tubes of identical shape in stock, which are then assembled as required to form heat exchangers of a certain desired length and can optionally be closed by caps so that the desired flow is achieved. After inserting the caps and the end caps, not described in detail, which are provided for inflow and outflow connections, the flat tube block is soldered so that the caps (3, 4) close in the ends of the flat tubes (2) and this through the Interlocking of the nozzle (110) and the openings (5) are also held close together.
  • the flat tubes provided in the exemplary embodiment have expanded parts (2a) which do not correspond to the full width (b) of the heat exchanger.
  • the flat tubes were produced in this embodiment by starting from tubes with an oval cross-section corresponding to the expanded parts (2a) in the central region (2b) were flat-rolled or pressed.
  • FIGS. 4 to 6 show the configuration of the cap (4) which is used in the heat exchanger of FIGS. 1 to 3.
  • the cap (4) is bowl-shaped and sits with its edges (17) tightly in the upstanding edge (18) of the enlarged parts (2a) of the associated flat tubes (2).
  • the cap (4) has a recess (6) which has a wall part (7) which, as shown in FIG. 5, the left opening (5 ') of the two openings (5', 5) in the expanded part ( 2a) of the flat tube (2) completes.
  • the recess (6) is closed off by an inclined wall (19) opposite in the wall part, which runs in such a way that it also serves as a flow guide surface for the heat exchange medium flowing between the opening (5) and the region (2b).
  • each cap (3) also consists of a shell-shaped part, the outwardly facing edges (20) of which are adapted to the inner cross section of the enlarged part (2a) of each flat tube (2).
  • These cup-shaped caps (3) have stiffening beads (9) which run transversely to the longitudinal axis (10) of the oval shape and serve to increase the strength of the caps (3).
  • These caps are used only for the outer end of each flat tube (2). Like the caps (4), they are soldered tightly in the flat tubes (2).
