Definitions

  • the invention relates to a broom, scrubber, water scraper or the like. according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a fastening device for a broomstick in which a metal cover is placed on the holding body for the bristle assembly, which is deformed in its central region to an upwardly open spherical segment section.
  • a cap-like, part-spherical molded part is seated in the opening formed in this way and can be rotated about an axis of rotation running at right angles to the opening plane of the spherical segment section.
  • An edge-side opening of this molded part is penetrated by a threaded pin which is fastened to a stem at the end and which can be screwed into a counterpart, which is rotatably mounted with the molded part, below the molded part.
  • an arc-shaped holding part is fastened centrally on the semi-cylindrical shaped top side of an elongated holding body for the bristle assembly, which is approximately semicircular in cross section, the central region of which extends in the direction of the arc via a gradation opposite its side regions from is deposited on the surface of the holding body.
  • an elongated hole is provided through which a threaded pin engages, which is provided on the broom side with a square head enclosed between the surface of the holding body and the central area of the holding part.
  • the free end of the threaded pin can be screwed into a handle.
  • the handle can thus be fixed in various inclination positions relative to the holding body.
  • roller-shaped brush which has an extruded tubular hollow body with an undercut slot in which a separate bristle holder to be placed around the hollow body is fixed by means of corresponding locking strips.
  • From DE-U-85 02 549.6 is a round head brush made of plastic, for example a toilet brush, a glass brush, a hair brush, a carpet sweeper or the like.
  • the central region is designed as a tube and is integrally provided with an end piece designed as a handle.
  • the tube is closed on the other side. Bristle bundles are welded and / or injected onto the pipe section and possibly an end piece.
  • the invention has for its object a broom, scrubber, water scraper or the like. of the generic type according to US-A-1 979 180 so that particularly versatile fastening of the handle is achieved with versatile usability and particularly light design of the holding body.
  • the hollow chamber thus serves on the one hand to save weight and on the other hand to accommodate the clamping piece of a handle attachment, which is arranged largely invisibly in the hollow chamber.
  • the handle can be attached at any point on the holding body, which in most cases will be a bristle body, so that on the one hand the holding body can be brought to inaccessible places without being hindered by the handle.
  • On the other hand can be targeted at certain points on the holding body by applying the handle at this point, particularly high pressure can be applied to the floor.
  • the measures according to claim 2 lead to the fact that the holding body is particularly slim at those points where material is not required and that in turn the threaded pin of the handle attachment can be kept relatively short.
  • the measures according to claim 3 result in a particularly strong non-positive and form-locking locking between the handle and the holding body, which at the same time results in further stiffening of the holding body.
  • the additional measure according to claim 4 has the consequence that the handle can be attached at different angles relative to the holding body.
  • a particular advantage of the configuration of the holding body according to the invention is that it can be extruded in accordance with claim 5.
  • Claim 6 specifies a particularly favorable embodiment of the cross section of the hollow body and the cross section of the associated clamping piece.
  • the embodiment according to claim 7 leads to the fact that the holding body as a whole is particularly stiff, bristle assemblies can be fitted in the thick-walled sections.
  • the hollow chamber thus lies eccentrically in the holding body.
  • Claims 8 to 10 specify further configurations which relate to the attachment of bristle assemblies.
  • a broom or similarly a scrubber has a hollow bristle body 1, the outer cross section of which - as can be seen from FIG. 1 - can be slightly elliptical.
  • the two weakly curved sides correspond to the upper side 2 and the lower side 3.
  • a clamping piece 6 is provided which has a threaded bore 7.
  • the stem 5 is provided at its associated end with a threaded pin 8 adapted to the threaded bore 7, which is constantly lightly screwed into the threaded bore 7 and preferably captive the clamping piece 6 is connected.
  • the stem 5 To attach the stem 5 to the bristle body 1, the stem 5, together with the already slightly screwed-on clamping piece 6, is pushed laterally onto the bristle body 1, so that the clamping piece enters its hollow chamber 9 while the stem is outside.
  • the threaded pin 8 passes through the slot 4. Since the top 10 of the clamping piece is adapted to the inner shape of the bristle body 1 in the area of the slot 4, and since the clamping piece 6 is sufficiently long, it cannot twist when the handle 5 is screwed down; the attachment of the stem 5 to the bristle body 1 is thus only done by screwing the stem 5 relative to the clamping piece 6. Since the slot 4 extends over the full length of the bristle body 1, the stem can be attached in the longitudinal direction at any point.
  • a transverse slot 11 can extend from the longitudinal slot 4, so that the stem 5 can also be attached to the bristle body 1 at an angle to its normal position.
  • the bristle body 1 is relatively thin-walled in the area of its upper side 2, while it has a thick-walled section 12 in the area of its lower side 3, which in the lateral areas 13 merges into the thin-walled sections 14 which extend as far as the slot 4.
  • the thick-walled section 12 is located in the area in which the bristle body 1 is provided with bristles 15.
  • This thick-walled section 12 has a thickness d such that the bristle assembly 15 in the usual Can be mounted by punching into corresponding blind holes without breaking through the inner wall 16 of the bristle body 1 delimiting the hollow chamber 9 when punching in the corresponding tufts of bristles.
  • the stem 5 can be connected to the bristle body 1 at any point in the slot 4.
  • the handle 5 is attached in the region of one end of the bristle body 1, then this end can be used, for example, to sweep or scrub into corners with a correspondingly large amount of force.
  • the freely projecting end of the bristle body 1 can be used particularly well under beds, cupboards and the like, in particular for sweeping. Moving the handle 5 relative to the bristle body 1 is possible with a slight loosening by rotating the handle 5 relative to the bristle body 1.
  • the bristle body 1 has the thin-walled sections 14 in the region of its upper side 2, it is inherently very stiff since the thick-walled section 12 prevents the slot 4 from opening by bending out the lateral areas 13 with the thin-walled sections 14.
  • a bristle body 17 with an approximately circular outer cross section is provided.
  • tufts of bristles 20 are punched into corresponding blind holes 22 in a conventional manner by means of a wire loop 21.
  • the loops 21 do not break through the inner wall 23 of a hollow chamber 24 which is formed eccentrically, that is to say offset upwards, in the bristle body 17.
  • a slot 26 is formed which extends in the longitudinal direction of the bristle body and is delimited by thin-walled sections 27 of the bristle body 17. The transition from the thick-walled section 19 to the thin-walled sections 27 is in each case in the lateral regions 28.
  • the thin-walled sections 27 are flat, so that a flat contact surface 29 for a handle 30 is created.
  • the thin-walled sections 27 have webs 31 which protrude into the hollow chamber 24 and which serve, among other things, to stiffen the bristle body 17.
  • these webs 31 protrude into a corresponding recess 32 of a clamping piece 33 when the handle 30 is mounted, so that this clamping piece 33 is thereby secured against twisting when tightening or loosening the handle 30.
  • This also locks the bristle body 17, ie the profile rigidity of the bristle body 17 is considerably increased when the handle is mounted, since it cannot expand and thus deform in this area.
  • the handle is attached with a positive and positive connection.
  • a threaded pin 34 is non-rotatably connected to the clamping piece 33, while a threaded bore 35 is located in the stem 30.
  • the entirety of the bristle tufts 20 forms a bristle assembly 36.
  • FIG. 3 differs from the previous ones only in that a hollow chamber with an approximately triangular cross-section is formed in a bristle body 37, the baseline This triangle is formed by the thin-walled sections 40 reaching inwards to a central slot 39 and delimiting them.
  • An associated stem 41 is provided with a clamping piece 42 which is approximately trapezoidal in cross section and which bears against the inner wall 43 of the bristle body 37 delimiting the hollow chamber 38 in the region of the thin-walled sections 40 and the central lateral regions 44, while the lower region of the hollow chamber 38 is from the clamping piece 42 is not completed.
  • the trapezoidal cross section of the clamping piece 42 corresponds approximately to the assigned cross section of the hollow chamber 38.
  • a threaded pin 45 is integrally connected to the clamping piece 42 and engages in a corresponding threaded sleeve 46 of the stem 41.
  • the threaded sleeve 46 lies on a flat contact surface 47 of the bristle body 37, which is formed on the thin-walled sections 40.
  • a thick-walled section 48 of the bristle body extends from the underside 49 over the lateral areas, so that the thin-walled sections 40 only extend inwards in the area of the upper side 51.
  • bristle assembly 52 is possible over a large angular range of approximately 180 °, which allows the bristle assembly 52 to be constructed asymmetrically.
  • bristles can be fitted with long soft bristles from the underside 49 via a side region 44 and with shorter hard bristles in the other side region 44, so that it only requires a rotation about the axis 53 of the stem 41 in order to either to use the soft or the hard bristles, whereby the usual inclination of the broom can be maintained.
  • All bristle bodies 1, 17, 37, 54 are produced as an endless profile by extrusion, i.e. the individual bristle bodies are sawn off or cut off from the endlessly extruded strand.
  • a holding body 60 which largely corresponds in cross section to the respective bristle body according to FIGS. 3 and 4.
  • the underside 61 and lateral areas 62 are designed as thick-walled sections 63.
  • a pair of clamping legs 64 extend obliquely from the underside 61 to the axis 65 to be assigned to a stem.
  • clamping legs 64 delimit between them a cavity in which a rubber lip 66 for designing the holding body 60 as a water slide or a sheet of foam, foam rubber or the like can be clamped in for wiping water or for other cleaning work.
  • These clamping legs 64 can of course also be made shorter, the interior space 67 enclosed by them being adapted to the corresponding profile of a rubber lip 66 or another part.
  • Such a rubber lip 66 or the like is inserted in the longitudinal direction of the holding body. The expansion of the rubber lip 66 located in the interior 67 protects it from being pulled out transversely to the longitudinal direction, that is to say in the plane of the drawing.
  • Such a holding body 60 can additionally be provided with a bristle assembly 68, indicated by dash-dotted lines, for example made of short hard bristles, so that it can also be used as a scrubber.
  • a bristle assembly 68 indicated by dash-dotted lines, for example made of short hard bristles, so that it can also be used as a scrubber.
  • the bristle body 54 or the holding body 60 according to FIGS. 4 and 5 are designed so that the stem 41 can be used with the clamping piece 42.
  • the slot can naturally not be arranged in the middle, but - within limits - shifted laterally as desired.
