Am Ende der Aufwärtsbewegung des Rahmens 16 wird der Antriebszylinder 20 zum Aufwärtsbewegen der Greifelemente 18 betätigt, so daß der Rahmen wieder in Ausgangsposition für einen neuen Arbeitszyklus ist, wie dies Fig. 1 zeigt. Claims (5)

1. 2. Apparatus according to claim 1 characterised in that the gripping elements (18) are designed to be movable vertically with respect to the frame (16) which is movable in respect of height.
3. Apparatus according to claim 2 characterised in that the gripping elements (18) can be raised and lowered within limits along suitable vertical guides (17) on the common frame (16) by means of at least one pneumatic or hydraulic actuating cylinder (20).
4. Apparatus according to claim 1 or one of the -following claims characterised in that a heat shield means (23) is arranged between the upper gripping means (11), which are stationary in respect of height, for opening and keeping open the tube (5) when it is fitted over the stack (3), and the frame (16) which is movable in respect of height, when disposed in its uppermost position.
5. Apparatus according to claim 4 characterised in that the heat shield means (23) comprises two sliding plates (24) which are horizontally slidable from a laterally inoperative position into a shielding position of bearing against each other.
