Claims (8)

1. Appareil de pliage comportant au moins un dispositif de pliage transversal alimenté et déchargé par des convoyeurs à rubans (2 et 4) et constitué par un dispositif de pliage par refoulement (3), ce dispositif comportant une poche de refoulement (5) dont l'entrée est flanquée de deux rouleaux extérieurs (7 et 8) associés aux convoyeurs (2 et 4) et coopérant avec un rouleau central stationnaire (6) pour former des fentes de transport (9 et 10), et ce dispositif étant traversé par un jeu de rubans (13) passant sur le rouleau central (6), caractérisé en ce que le rouleau extérieur (8) du côté aval peut basculer en s'écartant du rouleau central (6), de manière à supprimer la fente de transport (10) du côté aval, tandis que la poche de refoulement (5) est soulevée de manière que son entrée se trouve au-dessus du plan de transport amont du jeu de rubans (13) passant sur le rouleau central (6).
2. Appareil selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que le rouleau extérieur (8) du côté aval et la poche de refoulement (5) sont montés sur des supports de paliers communs (16) qui sont basculants, de préférence autour de l'axe (15) du rouleau extérieur (7) du côté amont.
3. Appareil selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que l'ensemble constructif monté sur lesdits supports de paliers (16) est agencé pour basculer entre des butées (18, 19) définissant ses positions extrêmes, au moyen d'un dispositif de commande (17) constitué de préférence par un ensemble à vérin à piston.

Appareil selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que le rouleau extérieur (8) du côté aval est suivi d'un rouleau de déviation (21) agencé pour basculer avec lui et monté de préférence aussi sur lesdits supports de paliers (16), ce rouleau de déviation étant en prise sur le convoyeur (4) du côté aval en formant un coude (22) sur ses rubans.
5. Appareil selon la revendication 4, caractérisé en ce que la distance dans la direction du convoyeur entre le rouleau de déviation (21) et le rouleau extérieur adjacent (8) du côté aval correspond au moins à la profondeur maximale de la poche de refoulement (5).
6. Appareil selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce qu'au moins les jeux de rubans (12b, 13) formant le convoyeur (4) du côté aval passent sur des galets compensateurs basculants (24).
7. Appareil selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que, quand la fente de transport du côté aval est supprimée, l'entrée de la poche de refoulement (5) peut être obturée par un dispositif de guidage (20) constitué par des lames formant un pont entre les deux rouleaux extérieurs (7, 8) et monté de manière amovible sur les supports de paliers basculants (16).
9. Appareil selon l'une des revendications précédentes, comportant deux dispositifs de pliage transversal, caractérisé en ce que le dispositif déclen- chable de pliage par refoulement (3) constitue le second dispositif de pliage transversal.
