Definitions

  • the invention relates to a rappelling device consisting of a slide piece working together with a rope, which has a guide channel through which the rope can be passed and the slide piece has a carrying device for a belt or the like.
  • the abseiling devices according to the prior art are complicated in construction and therefore expensive. It is also to be criticized that they are quite complicated to operate. This is particularly important because people in need often get into panic-like conditions and often several people should be rappelled on the same descender. In these cases, a lot of time passes because the slider that carries the person and slides down the rope has to be carried back empty to accommodate the next person.
  • the braking effect of the known devices is not sufficiently dependent on weight. So it is very important that the bandwidth is large enough, for example, to transport a child as well as a particularly heavy person downwards at a permissible speed.
  • the object is achieved in that the abseiling device has a sliding piece with a U-shaped guide channel for receiving a rope and the point of application for a carrying device is arranged in an area which is opposite the rope outlet openings. It is particularly advantageous if the point of application for the support device to the slider symmetrically on a between the Einzw. Outlet openings for the line running ropes is.
  • the carrying device is movably connected to the slider and can engage in the guide channel in such a way that, depending on the load, for example a person, a thrust member acts braking on the rope.
  • the slider is symmetrical and the rope ends are equipped with the same means for hooking or the like on a fixed bearing, after a person has been roped off, the rope can be pulled up with the slider and can be changed by simply changing, i.e. the free end of the rope located below is then connected to the fixed bearing and is immediately ready for use again.
  • Fig. 1 is a plan view of the slider.
  • FIG. 1a shows a cross section along the line I-I in Fig.1.
  • Fig. 2 is a partial view with the support device removed.
  • FIG. 3 shows a top view according to FIG. 1.
  • Fig. 4 is a view of one half of a cup-shaped slider.
  • Fig. 5 is a plan view of a two-shell slider
  • FIG. 9-10 Another embodiment of the abseiling device 1 shows an abseiling device 1, for example bent out of the tube 9, with a sliding piece 10. This is equipped near the rope outlet openings 7, 8 with a web 14 which connects the free tube ends 11, 12. This measure serves on the one hand for mechanical stabilization and, on the other hand, an open U would become more tangled with the rope 13, so that the abseiling device is not provided correctly and quickly.
  • an opening 5 Opposite the free pipe ends 11, 12, preferably on an axis of symmetry A, is an opening 5 which receives a pressure piece 4.
  • This pressure piece 4 is operatively connected to a support device 3.
  • the opening 5 is dimensioned such that the pressure piece 4 can engage in the clear cross section of the guide channel 2 and thus can press on the rope 13.
  • the pressure piece 4 in the area of the contact with the rope 13 has a shape adapted to the course of the guide channel 2.
  • Fig. 4 shows the inner surface 16 of a slider 10 a formed as a half-shell 17.
  • Fig. 6 shows a possible form of use of the abseiling device.
  • a rope end 131 opens at a stationary support point 21. Because the point of application of the support device 3 on the slide 10 lies opposite the rope exit openings 7, 8, the slide aligns itself in the manner shown in FIGS. 6-8.
  • the person abseiling has the option of using little force, i.e. Tractive force to determine the sinking speed at the free end of the rope 132.
  • Tractive force i.e. Tractive force to determine the sinking speed at the free end of the rope 132.
  • FIG. 7 shows, this control of the lowering speed and of course also the stopping can be carried out by a person on the ground.
  • the abseiling device can also be used in the reverse direction.
  • the possibilities of use according to FIGS. 7 and 8 will be provided above all if the person to be abseiled is not in a position to do so himself.
  • FIGS. 9 and 10 Another embodiment of the invention is shown in FIGS. 9 and 10. The representation is shown in a simplified manner to simplify the clarity.
  • the upper web 140 is not rigidly connected to the slider 100, but is mounted displaceably along the axis x-x.
  • guidance is provided by tabs 141 connected to the web 140.
  • a plate 142 connected laterally to the tube 90 is connected to the U-shaped tube 90.
  • This plate is used in that the upper web 140 no longer stabilizes the free pipe ends 11 and 12, on the one hand the strength and on the other hand the guidance of the tabs 141 and thus the web 140.
  • the guidance takes place by means of bolts 144, 145 penetrating the interior 143. These bolts are guided in elongated holes 146 in the plate 142. It should not be left unmentioned that when the overall construction is e.g. Metal or plastic casting is formed, differently designed guide means can be used without departing from the scope of the invention.
  • a two-armed locking lever 147 is connected to the plate 142.
  • One end of the lever 147 is connected to a corrugated brake pad 148, which can penetrate through an opening 149 into the interior of the tube.
  • the web 140 is pressed away from the slider 100 in the direction of the axis xx by the action of a spring 153. This enables the person rappelling or the assistant to stop the rappelling process.
  • the lever 147 or the brake pad 148 is pressed against the rope at an acute angle and the rope is prevented from sliding in the direction of arrow 152.
  • a further lever 147 a is shown in dashed lines. This is a mirror image in the manner described above in the abseiling device.
  • the dashed line is intended to provide a better overview.
  • the device is equipped with two levers because, as described above, the abseiling device according to the invention is symmetrical and can be operated in both directions.
  • the abseiling device with a rope locking device, as is known in a variety of designs.
  • a rope locking device As is known in a variety of designs.
  • One example is the well-known curry clamp used in sailing boats.
  • the rope is jammed with the abseiling device. Only then is the locking direction released and the abseiling process described can be carried out.
