Definitions

  • the invention is based on a security system against burglary or theft, which consists of a key with a code which can be changed by the user, readers for reading the key code and a control unit which, depending on the key code read, has a security device for opening and closing bolts and lock or operated an alarm or emergency device.
  • the control stage is connected to the reading device and the output of the code memory, at which the signals for the control device depart. If the key code and the output signal of the code memory contain corresponding information, the control stage responds and makes the code memory ready to receive a new code. During this time, the user can change the code on the key and recode the code memory. As a result, this locking or alarm system offers infinitely many codes with little effort and small size, which the user can change as desired.
  • Another electronic locking device that uses a ' code card as a key is known from German Offenlegungsschrift 28 51 396.

  • the locking system or alarm system known from DE-OS 30 47 940 has the disadvantage that it does not differ from the mechanical and electrical anti-theft devices previously used, neither in the mode of operation for protecting objects nor in the operating procedure when opening locks. The object to be protected is therefore still exposed to the same attempted attacks with the additional risk of greater burglary damage.
  • perpetrators can easily adapt to the only slightly changed conditions, which the number of infinitely many variable codes entails, by appropriate equipment and behavior. If, in particular, break-ins are made too difficult by the use of this locking or alarm system, perpetrators must attack the user in order to obtain a coded key or use the time it takes for the user to attack the key to recode. • the control unit indicates the error, for example, by briefly lighting up a lamp without triggering an alarm. If the reading device 9 is operated incorrectly within the outer security area 6, the control unit in motor vehicles can be programmed in such a way that it l Triggers an alarm, which is only interrupted when the control unit receives the correct information due to reading in the correct selectable code 3. The control unit can also be programmed so that it 5 unlocks the inner security area 7 even if a certain other selectable code has been read.
  • This code can cause the control unit to lock the internal security area 7 again after a certain time and to trigger an alarm or to send an emergency call 0 which cannot be perceived by the unauthorized user.
  • the control unit can be programmed in such a way that the motor vehicle can be put into operation for a certain time with one of the fixed codes, in order, for example, to be able to cover short distances within the framework of delivery journeys without constant coding.

  • the alarm device which must have an independent energy supply, is programmed either via the control unit or directly with the aid of the code card, so that it can trigger an alarm even if the control unit fails.
  • control unit can also be switched off for any period of time using a specific, selectable code if the outer or inner security area is also to be blocked for correct code cards without simultaneously switching off the alarm or emergency call device.
  • the readers 8 and 9 can be inconspicuous hemispherical structures with a slot for pushing through the code cards 1. Because of their small size, these readers 5 can be arranged in a hidden manner. In motor vehicles, the decoded code card can be accommodated while driving, for example in the fixed inner part of a steering wheel, and its keyboard 4 can be used to release and operate a car radio, a car telephone or a traffic control system.
  • the outer security area 6 can be regarded as a refuge into which the user can quickly escape in the event of imminent danger by pushing his code card 1 through a reader 8 located on the object and the next moment opens the unlocked door. Within the outer security area 6, the user can then code the code card 1 in peace and have the inner security area 7 released.
  • one or more reading devices 8 and 9 can be provided for opening the outer security area 6 and the inner security area 7. It is also possible to assign several internal security areas to an external security area. Furthermore, separate outer security areas 6 can also have a common inner security area.
