Dispositif pour la suspension et l'éclairage d'objets comprenant un organe d'accrochage (2, 10) apte à être accroché sur un rail horizontal (1) et portant des pièces de contact électrique (11a, 11b) destinées à être amenées en contact avec des conducteurs électriques (5a, 5b) courant le long du rail, de manière à assurer la suspension sur le rail d'un objet fixé à l'organe d'accrochage et la liaison électrique entre les conducteurs du rail et des moyens d'éclairage associés à l'objet,
dispositif caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte :
    - une tige (2) avec des conducteurs électriques (6a, 6b) portés par la tige le long de celle-ci,
    - un moyen d'accrochage (19) d'un objet monté sur la tige (2) et de position réglable verticalement le long de celle-ci,
    - un module de liaison (10) fixé à une extrémité de la tige (2) et réalisé de manière à pouvoir s'engager sur le rail (1) pour assurer la suspension de la tige et de l'objet fixé à celle-ci, le module de liaison comprenant les pièces de contact (11a, 11b) qui sont reliées respectivement aux conducteurs (6a, 6b) portés par la tige et qui font saillie du module de liaison (10) pour venir respectivement au contact des conducteurs (5a, 5b) portés par le rail lorsque le module de liaison est engagé sur le rail, et
    - un module de connexion (14) monté sur la tige (2) et de position réglable verticalement le long de celle-ci, le module de connexion comprenant des éléments de connexion (16a, 16b) qui sont susceptibles d'être électriquement reliés à un dispositif d'éclairage et qui peuvent être amenés respectivement au contact des conducteurs (6a, 6b) portés par la tige.
