Description

The invention relates to a display device which uses at least one poster support which is fixed by suspension struts relative to at least two cables or rods, but adjustable relative to at least one surface, itself constituted for example by a floor, a ceiling or a wall, by means of said cables or rods which use lower and upper anchoring means of cables or rods to at least one surface.

Numerous documents describe such devices.

The document FR-A-1,560,479 relates to a display of the type in which the exhibits are arranged on supports fixed on cables fixed by their ends respectively to the ceiling and to the floor of the exhibition hall or of the display case, characterized by one or more of the following arrangements used singly or in their various combinations:

• each end of a cable is attached to a piece forming a piston and capable of sliding in a socket;
• the anchoring parts which are sealed or screwed to the ceiling and to the ground are constituted by a threaded socket into which the threaded rod is fastened integral with the cable fixing sleeve or an intermediate part provided with an external thread and a thread interior;
• the supports of the objects to be exhibited rest on devices fixed to the cables and each made up of two parts clamped one against the other by flat faces, at least one of which has a groove, preferably in V, in which is blocked cable;

Publication FR-A-2.272.627 relates to a device for hanging shelves, characterized in that the lower anchoring part comprises a first socket directed upwards, having an internal thread and a circular bottom pierced with a hole through which a fixing screw passes, a piston provided with a flange and drilled on the one hand, an axial hole traversed by the cable and, on the other hand, at least one radial tapped hole into which is screwed a locking screw, a compression spring surrounding the piston, in abutment on the flange and, on the internal circular face of a second socket directed downwards, having an external thread cooperating with the internal thread and the circular face of which is pierced with a hole through which the piston passes.

Document DE-U-9.013.101 relates to a display unit in particular for posters, written documents or the like with low-intensity lighting which is characterized by the fact that the current passes through at least two conductors whose spacing is fixed ; they pass through blocking elements so that they are secured and at least one poster holder is erected and immobilized in position.

Publication FR-A-2.627.241 relates to a device for the removable and adjustable fixing of a shelf on a cable or a rod extending vertically, comprising clamping means on the cable or the rod and means for receiving the tablet, characterized in that the receiving means comprise a single branch extending substantially horizontally and traversed by a through hole for a connecting screw engaging in the thickness of the tablet.

Document DE-U-8 913 563 illustrates a device for hanging shelves using a suspension strut which comprises a locking latch with fixed orientation.

These devices are used for fixing poster support on cables or rods extending from floor to ceiling. These devices as claimed are, in some cases, complex, with an adjustment of the position of the cable or the rod which is not obvious and, in other cases, unsuitable for a quick and simple change of the posters presented, since the poster holder receives the posters by gluing, stapling or other poster fixing techniques.

The object of the present invention is to eliminate these drawbacks.

The main object of the present invention is to provide a display device of the type using at least one poster support suspended from cables or rods stretched between lower and upper anchor pieces, fixed to the ground and / or to the ceiling and / or wall and / or a frame, suspension spacers, very low voltage lighting means, for example 12 volts, formed of connectors and lamp holders, and tensioning tensioners for cables; the suspension struts and the connectors comprise a cable fixing means constituted by a blocking counterplate which is fixed on the short side of said spacers and connectors, said short side having a cable passage groove, characterized in that each spacer comprises a means of fixing the poster support constituted by a locking latch which can have a rotational movement around a screw which cooperates with an L-shaped part, which together form, once in place, a U-shaped piece that allows to secure the poster support.

The invention also relates to a device characterized in that the hanging poster support is of the wallet type, consisting of a fixed plate of transparent material fixed to the L-shaped part by means of a screw, said fixed plate having, in its lower part, at least one lug for supporting a movable plate held in position by the latches.

The invention also relates to a device characterized in that each connector comprises on one of its sides, two housings allowing the immobilization of two conductors, carrying the lamp holder, via at least two holes radial tapped with locking screws and that each connector and each conductor conduct electric current at very low voltage.

According to Figure 1, the display device 1 essentially comprises three different means. Two ways which one could say simple by their structure. These are the lower and upper anchoring parts 5 of a cable 4 to at least one surface 3 constituted for example by a floor or a ceiling and suspension struts 6 of the poster support 2 with respect to the cable 4. A so-called complex means formed by very low voltage lighting means 7 which decompose into a connector 24, placed between the cable 4 and a conductor 25, and in a lamp holder 27, placed between the conductor 25 and lighting elements 26, generally constituted by lamps. The anchoring means 5 allow the cable 4 to be fixed relative to a surface constituted, for example, by a floor and / or a surface or a frame or the like 3 such as a ceiling, a floor or a wall, whereas 'with a rod 4, a single point of attachment, for example to the ceiling, may suffice.

According to FIG. 16, the hanging poster support 2 is of the wallet type and is formed by two plates and an intermediate film 2d making it possible to insert a poster on each side, the two plates being of a transparent material, one of the two plates, called the fixed plate 2a, having in its lower part lugs 2c for supporting the other plate called the movable plate 2b, so that, when the latches 21 are unlocked, suspension spacers 6 by rotating them around their axis constituted by the screw 23, one can de-dilararize the two plates 2a and 2b, which allows easy replacement of the posters.

However, the poster support can be different and be formed for example of a tablet.

More generally, the cable 4, in the case described, is attached by its two ends, for example to the floor and to the ceiling.

The upper anchoring part 5 can have different types of single sockets 16, which have in common the fact of having two fixing means.

One or more locking jumpers 41, for example of the same material as that of the plates 2a and 2b, join the fixed plates 2a and mobile 2b.

Figures 2, 3, and 4 show two types of embodiment of the sockets 16.

Figure 2 shows that said single sockets 16 include a housing 12 for cable 4. Located in the extension of said cable 4, there is an external thread 16a which cooperates with a nut 17. Placed around the external thread 16a between the single socket 16 and the nut 17, there is a washer 9a.

Figure 3 shows the single socket 16 described above in a configuration of use, where the washer 9a is pressed against the nut 17, due to the presence between said washer 9a and the single socket 16 of a surface 3 .

FIG. 4 shows another type of embodiment of the sleeve 16 which, instead of using a nut and a washer, uses a metal pin 18 which is placed in the material forming a surface 3. This forms the means of attachment to the surface 9.

Whatever the type of embodiment of these sockets 16, the cable 4 is integral with the single socket 16, thanks to, at least, a radial tapped hole 13 into which is screwed a locking screw 14, as can be seen on Figure 5. This forms the cable fixing system 8.

FIG. 6 shows a third type of embodiment of the upper or lower anchoring pieces 5, where the tensioners 5a are formed by a first bush 10, which has an internal thread 10a, and a bottom pierced with a hole crossed by a screw fixing 15, which constitutes the means for fixing to the surface 9, and by a second socket 11, disposed above the first socket 10, having an external thread 11a, which cooperates with the internal thread 10a of the first socket 10. Said second socket 11 has a housing 12 where one end of the cable 4 can be confined and secured to the second socket 11 by means of at least one radial tapped hole 13a into which is screwed a locking screw 14a of said cable 4 constituting the cable fixing means 8.

According to Figure 7, we can see in detail how the cable fixing means 8 works. The second socket 11 of U-shaped section has, in its center, the cable 4. The opening of the U is closed by the locking screw 14 which takes place in the tapped hole 13.

According to Figure 8, we see that the two sockets 10 and 11 cooperate together thanks to their reciprocal threading 10a and 11a.

According to Figures 9, 10 and 11, the suspension spacers 6 allow the fixing of the poster support 2 relative to the cable 4. These spacers 6 include three essential elements. First, an L-shaped part 19, having a groove 20, allowing the passage of the cable 4, which is located on the small outer side of said piece 19 and a screw 19a for fixing the fixed plate 2a in a transparent material provided in its lower part with lugs 2c for supporting the other plate 2b; moreover, the fixed plate 2a, at the level of the passage of the screw 19a, is cut so that the head of the screw 19a does not protrude from said plate. Placed on the L-shaped part 19, there is a locking latch 21 which can pivot around a screw 23, so that when the locking latch 21 is in place on the L-shaped part 19, they form a U-profile assembly, constituting the means of attachment 9 to the poster support 2. Said poster support 2 is wedged inside the U. Finally, a blocking counter plate 22 is fixed to the small side of the L-shaped part 19, by means of two screws 23a, which constitutes the means of fixing the cable 8. Nevertheless, the blocking counter-plate could be fixed by a single screw without this leaving the frame of the present invention. Thus, it is easy to design an L-shaped part having a shoulder on its short side serving to hold in position the half blocking locking plate fixed by a single screw, and securing the L-shaped part relative to the cable 4 thanks to the underlying groove 20. In addition, the groove can just as easily be carried by the counter-plate or the half blocking counter-plate.

According to Figures 12 and 13, the connector 24 comprises a rod-carrying element 28 having a groove 33 for passage of the cable 4 and being pierced on the same sides by two holes. Two of the ends of said holes, placed on the same side, serve as a housing 30 for two conductors 25, which are themselves immobilized by at least two radial tapped holes 31, comprising locking screws 32, said connector 24 comprises also a blocking counter plate 29 with two blocking screws 34 which will be screwed into the threads of the other two ends of the rod-carrying element 28. In the same way as previously, the blocking counter plate can be fixed by a single screw and have a form of half blocking locking plate.

The conductors 25, at the outlet of the housings 30, have slight angles relative to the axis of the housings 30, so that the lighting elements 26 are offset with respect to the poster support 2 on either side other one of it so lighting on both sides of the poster holder is possible.

According to Figs 14 and 15, it can be seen that the lamp holder 27 has two elements 37 each comprising a housing 35 where, at least, a conductor 25 is immobilized by means of at least one radial tapped hole 36, comprising a locking screw 38 ; the two elements 37 are separated from each other by an insulating material 39, and moreover, the lamp holder 27 has two holes 40 for the electrical supply of the lamps each carried by one of the elements 37.

Without departing from the scope of the invention, the lighting means can be constituted by illuminating ramps, spotlights or neon lights.

The lamp holder 27 has two elements 37 each comprising a housing 35 intended to immobilize at least one conductor 25 by means of at least one radial tapped hole 36, comprising a locking screw 38; the two elements 37 being separated from each other by an insulating material 39, and each having a hole 40 for the electrical supply of the lamps.

Without departing from the scope of the invention, the lower or upper anchoring part 5 is formed by a tensioner 5a which comprises a fixing means 9 to the floor or to the ceiling or to the wall or to the frame 3 formed by a first socket 10 having an internal thread 10a and a bottom pierced with a hole traversed by a fixing screw 15, and a fixing means 8 for the cable or rod 4, formed by a second socket 11 disposed above the first socket 10 and having an external thread 11a cooperating with the internal thread 10a of said first bush 10 said second bush 11 having a housing 12 intended to receive the cable or rod 4 and at least one radial tapped hole 13 into which a locking screw 14 is screwed said cable or rod 4, so that once the cable or rod 4 fixed, its tension can be adjusted by screwing or unscrewing the sockets relative to each other.

Without departing from the scope of the invention, the lower or upper anchoring part 5 is formed by a single socket 16 which comprises a fixing means 9 to the floor or to the ceiling or to the wall or to the frame 3, formed by an external thread 16a which cooperates with a nut 17 placed on the other side of the floor or ceiling or wall or frame 3, or with a dowel 18 placed in the material forming the floor or the ceiling or the wall or the frame 3, and a fixing means 8 of the cable or rod 4 formed by a housing 12 intended to receive the cable or the rod 4 and at least one radial tapped hole 13 in which is screwed a locking screw 14 of said cable or rod 4.

It is, of course, obvious that a device 1 of different shape, whether in its entirety or in certain parts thereof, but fulfilling the same function, does not depart from the scope of the invention.

Similarly, the suspension struts 6 can be variable in number, along at least one poster support 2 and in layout along the cable to the rod 4.

Claims (3)

1. A display device (1) having at least one poster support (2) suspended by ropes or rods (4) tightly held between lower and upper retaining elements (5) fixed to a ground and/or a ceiling and/or a wall and/or a frame (3), suspension bars (6), very low voltage lighting means (7) formed of connectors (24) and of lamp holders (27), and tightening means (5a) for tightening the ropes (4), said suspension bars (6) and said connectors (24) comprising rope fixing means (8) constituted by a blocking counterplate (22 or 29) which is fixed to the small side of the bars (6) and the connectors (24), respectively, said small side having a passage groove (20 or 33) for said rope (4),
   characterized in that
   each bar (6) comprises a poster support fixing means (9) constituted by a latch (21) that is adapted to rotate around a screw (23) which cooperates with an L-section element (19) and which, once in place, form a U-section element (19-21) adapted to hold the poster support (2).
2. A display means according to claim 1,
   characterized in that
   the suspended poster support (2) is of portfolio type, constituted by a fixed plate (2a) of a transparent maerial fixed to the L-section element (19) by means of a screw (23), the fixed plate (2a) having in its lower part at least one peg (2c) for supporting a movable plate (2b) held in position by the latches (21) and an intermediate film (2d) placed between the plates (2a, 2b).
3. A display device according to claim 1,
   characterized in that
   each connector (24) comprises on one of its sides two recesses (30) adapted to stay the conductors (25) that carry the lamp holder (27) by means of at least two radial threaded holes (31) comprising blocking screws (32) and in that each connector (24) and each conductor (25) conduct the very low voltage electric current.
