Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for transferring a strip of fabric from an insertion station to a base according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a device is known for example from DE-OS 26 56 720.
  • the transfer clip detects an edge region of the strip of material projecting over the edge of the support plate and pulls it in one Swiveling movement under a flap clip connected to the cloth clip so that the strip of cloth can be held on the flap clip by the flap clip.
  • a device similar to the device mentioned at the outset for transferring a piping strip into a piping strip folding device is also known from DE-OS 2123160.
  • the rectilinearly adjustable transmission clamp grips an edge region of the piping strip projecting above the support plate and inserts it into the folding device for the piping strip.
  • the fabric strip is transferred unchanged from the loading station to the underlay.
  • the fabric strip has to be folded before being placed on the base, for example a piece of fabric to be sewn to the fabric strip.
  • the aim is not only to pierce the fabric strip forming the pocket trim at its seam with the pocket pouch, since the wearer of the trousers easily gets caught on the threads of this seam and the seam tears open. Rather, the pocket trim should first be folded in this seam area and then sewn to the pocket bag.
  • the seamstress must first fold the strip of fabric forming the pocket trim, place the strip of fabric in the folded state on the pocket bag and pass both parts by hand through the sewing machine. This process requires a relatively large amount of time and care, since the folded edge strip is only narrow and therefore easily opens again after folding and because the seam should run very close to the folded edge.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a device of the type mentioned, which makes it possible to pick up a strip of fabric from the insertion station and to place it in the folded state on the base.
  • the fabric strip placed on the support plate at the stop is arched up slightly by the folding web, so that this arched section projects into the opening of the transfer clip. If this is now closed, the fabric strip is folded and held in the folded state. In this position of the transfer clip, the cloth strip cannot be put down without the risk that the cloth strip will unfold again when the clip is opened. For this reason, before or during the transition of the transfer clip from the receiving position into the transfer position, the transfer clip is pivoted in such a way that the region of the strip of material clamped between the terminal strips is no longer directed essentially perpendicular to the support surface or to the base, but parallel to it. In this .
  • the strip of fabric can then be placed flat on the base and taken over, for example, by a fabric clip, which, together with another piece of fabric to be sewn, guides it to the sewing point.
  • a fabric clip which, together with another piece of fabric to be sewn, guides it to the sewing point.
  • the section of the clamping strip which interacts with the other clamping strip for clamping the fabric part and which faces the base in the transfer position is designed as a thin lamella, so that between the base and the terminal strip resting thereon only an imperceptible step arises and the fabric part can thus be placed practically completely flat on the base when folded.
  • the folding web is adjustable against spring force perpendicular to its longitudinal direction and parallel to the support surface of the support plate. Otherwise, it would be necessary to place the terminal block, which is stationary during the clamping process, exactly next to the folding web when the transfer clip is placed on the support plate, in order to then be able to really close the clip. Due to the resilient mounting of the folding web, however, it is taken along when the clip is closed, slides out between the folded fabric sections when the transfer clip is lifted off, and returns to its original position due to the spring force. This movement play of the folding web means that there are no significant adjustment problems when setting the receiving position of the transfer clip relative to the folding web.
  • the folding web can be arranged in such a way that it can be adjusted perpendicularly to the support surface of the support plate.
  • the folding web for example formed by a steel lamella, is therefore expediently screwed to its holder, the screws penetrating the folding web in elongated holes so that it can be adjusted.
  • the support plate is made of a transparent material so that it does not obscure the operator when the fabric part is ready.
  • the terminal block is pivotally mounted on a bracket about the pivot axis
  • the transmission clamp is adjustable by means of a first working cylinder, which engages on the one hand on a bracket-fixed part and on the other hand on this terminal strip.
  • the other terminal strip is expediently guided displaceably on the terminal strip connected to the bracket and adjustable by means of a second working cylinder connected to both terminal strips in the sense of opening and closing the transmission clip. The terminal strips are thus moved against each other in a straight line when opening and closing the transmission clip.
  • the adjustment of the transmission clamp between the receiving position and the transfer position or vice versa can be done in such a way that the bracket is guided in a height-adjustable manner on a frame and is adjustable by means of a third working cylinder acting between the frame and the bracket and that the frame is supported on a stand around a to the support plate parallel axis is pivotally mounted and is adjustable by means of a fourth working cylinder acting between the stand and the frame, the support plate being inclined relative to the base by an angle corresponding to the pivoting angle of the frame.
  • the transfer clip After the transfer clip has been closed in the loading station, the transfer clip is, for example, first lifted off the support plate and then pivoted. The frame on the stand is then pivoted so far that the transmission clip can be lowered past the support plate onto the support. Subsequently, the fabric strip placed on the base can be clamped, for example, by a fabric clip in its folded state on the base, whereupon the transfer clip can be opened and lifted off the base again.
  • a generally designated 10 insertion station for a strip of fabric 12, which is folded by means of a generally designated 14 transfer clip and in the folded state on a sewing machine table 16 lying further fabric part 18, so that it is then together with this
  • the fabric part 18 is passed under a sewing machine 22 by means of a fabric clip 20 and with the fabric part 18th
  • the loading station comprises a support plate 24, which is preferably made of a transparent material, so that the operator's view of the base, i.e. does not hinder the sewing machine table 16 or the fabric part 18.
  • the support plate 24 is inclined with respect to the sewing machine table 16 and held on a stand fixed to the sewing machine table via a carrying bracket 26.
  • the support plate 24 carries an upwardly projecting stop bar 28. At a distance from the stop bar 28, the support plate 24 has a slot 30 running parallel to the stop bar 28, which is shown in FIG. 5 in a central area by a narrow bridge 32 can be interrupted.
  • a folding web 34 in the form of a thin steel lamella projects through the slot 30, the bridge 32 engaging in a corresponding recess in the folding web 34.
  • the folding web 34 is fastened to a bar 36 arranged below the support plate 24 with screws 38 in such a way that it can be adjusted perpendicularly to the support plate 24. The extent to which the folding web 34 projects beyond the contact surface 40 of the contact plate 24 can thus be set.
  • the strip 36 is displaceably guided by means of bolts 42 directed parallel to the support plate 24 in a rail 44 which is fastened to the underside of the support plate 24.
  • the strip 36 is biased by springs 46 into its position remote from the rail 44, the springs 46 surrounding the bolts 42 and being supported on the rail 44 on the one hand and on a collar 48 of the respective bolt 42 on the other hand.
  • Another collar 50 on the back of the rail 44 prevents the bolts 42 from slipping out of the rail 44.
  • the folding web within the slot or gap 30 is also freely adjustable perpendicular to the stop bar 28 against the spring preload of the springs 46.
  • the transmission clamp comprises a first angular clamping strip 52, which is articulated at the longitudinal ends of its one leg to the U-legs 54 of a U-shaped bracket 56, so that the clamping strip 52 is parallel to its longitudinal direction Pivot axis 58 is pivotally mounted on the bracket 56.
  • a second clamping bar 60 cooperating with the other leg of the clamping bar 52 is slidably mounted on the clamping bar 52 with bolts 62 passing through it.
  • a pneumatically operated working cylinder 64 is fastened to the first clamping bar 52, the piston rod (not visible) of which is connected to the clamping bar 60. so that the working cylinder 64 can close and open the transmission clip 14. It is it is of course possible to either design the working cylinder 64 as a double-acting cylinder or to bias the transmission clamp 14 into one of its positions and to adjust it to the other position with the working cylinder 64.
  • the clamping surface of the clamping strip 60 which interacts with the clamping strip 52 is located on a thin steel lamella 66 which is firmly connected to the latter. The purpose of this measure will be explained in more detail later.
  • the transmission clip 14 can be pivoted on the bracket 56 by at least 90 ° between the positions shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
  • the pivoting takes place by means of a pneumatically actuated working cylinder 68 which is articulated on a strut 70 rigidly connected to the bracket 56 and engages with its piston rod 72 on an angle 74 rigidly connected to the terminal strip 52.
  • the bracket 56 is guided vertically displaceably by means of guide rods 76 in a frame 78 in FIG. 2 and is adjustable by means of a working cylinder 80 which is attached to the frame 78 via an angle 83 and with its piston rod 82 on a nose which is firmly connected to the bracket 56 84 attacks.
  • the working cylinder 80 is also preferably operated pneumatically.
  • the frame 78 is mounted on a stand 86 so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis 88 parallel to the pivot axis 58 and is adjustable with the aid of a pneumatically actuated working cylinder 90 which is articulated on the stand 86 and engages the frame 78 with its piston rod 92.
  • the frame 78 and with it the transmission clip 14 can be pivoted in this way between the vertical position shown in FIG. 2 and an inclined position indicated in FIG. 1 in the direction of the double arrow B by an angle which is essentially the angle of inclination of the Platen 24 corresponds to the sewing machine table 16.
  • the operator places a first piece of fabric 18 on the sewing machine table 16. Then, he places the strip of fabric 12 on the support plate 24 in such a way that it abuts the stop bar 28 with one edge.
  • the strip of fabric is arched upward in the region of the slot 30 by the folding web 34 projecting beyond the contact surface 40 of the contact plate 24, as can be seen in FIG. 1.
  • the operator actuates a switch so that the transfer bracket 14 is pivoted by means of the working cylinder 90 over the support plate 24 and lowered by actuating the working cylinder 80 on the support plate 24 so that it assumes the position shown in FIG. 1. In this position, the folding web with the arched section of the fabric strip 12 projects into the clamping opening of the transmission clip 14.
  • the clamping strip 60 is moved in the direction of the clamping strip 52, the double section of material projecting into the clamping opening being clamped together with the folding web 34.
  • the folding web 34 which is freely movable against spring force, follows the movement of the terminal strip 60. If the transmission clip 14 is then lifted off the support plate 24 by actuating the working cylinder 80, the transmission clip 14 holds the folded fabric strip 12 in place, while the folding web 34 between the clamping strips 60 and 52 slips out.
  • the transmission clip 14 is first pivoted clockwise from the position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 into the position shown in FIG. 3 by actuating the working cylinder 68.
  • the frame 78 is then pivoted together with the transfer clip 14 by actuating the working cylinder 90 into the vertical position shown in FIG. 2 and the transfer clip 14 by actuating the working cylinder 80 into the position shown in FIG. 3 in the direction of the sewing machine table 16 lowered.
  • the clamping strip 60 now lies with its clamping lamella 66 on the fabric part 18, so that because of the small thickness of the clamping lamella 66 the fabric strip 12 lies practically flat on the fabric part 18 in the folded state.
  • the two fabric parts are clamped against the sewing machine table 16 by means of the fabric clip 20, so that the folded section of the fabric strip 12 can no longer unfold.
  • the transmission clip 14 can then be opened and raised by actuating the working cylinder 80.
  • the fabric clip 20 guides the two fabric parts 18 and 12 to be sewn together under the sewing machine 22, so that the two parts can be sewn together near the folded edge of the fabric part 12.
