Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a watch movement.
  • Clock movements are known in which the caliber itself, without additional module, is provided with additional indicator members, other than those which are used for indicating the time, such as date and day indicators. of the week, for example, and includes means for training and correcting these additional indicators.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a watch movement with additional indicator members, the control mechanisms of which are carried by an additional module in which, nevertheless, the adjustment or correction of the additional indicators can be carried out using the very stem of setting the basic caliber.
  • the manufacturer's approach consisted in using a clockwork movement with additional indicators carried by the basic caliber, with a correction mechanism with a control rod occupying at least two axial positions, in one of which the correction mechanism is actuated, this correction mechanism being with sliding pinion, to eliminate from this caliber the additional indicator members and their drive mechanisms, to apply to this basic caliber an additional module carrying the drive mechanism (s) of at least two additional indicators and their correction trains, to extend the portable mobile of the basic caliber correction mechanism, in this case the shaft of this mobile, until engaging in the additional module, to provide this mobile, at the level of the additional module, of a pinion alternately meshing, depending on the direction in which the control rod is actuated, with one or other of the additional indicator correction trains elements, which leads to the timepiece movement object of the present invention, as defined in claim 1.
  • the watch shown generally designated by 1, comprises a movement formed by a basic caliber 2, which has only been shown, and only very partially, in FIG. 6, and an additional module, designated by 3, the cage of which, comprising two plates 4 and 5, is fixed to the base caliber plate, designated by 6.
  • the basic caliber 2 comprises a manual control mechanism comprising a radial rod 7 (fig. 6) carrying a control crown 8 (fig. 1).
  • the rod 7 is capable of occupying three axial positions, the two extremes of which, pushed and pulled, serve respectively for winding and setting the time, and the third, intermediate, shown in FIG. 6, used for correction or development of additional indicators, dates and days of the week, which were originally fitted with the basic caliber and which have been deleted.
  • the pushed position of the rod 7 would be a neutral position in which the rod performs no function.
  • the mechanism for correcting the additional indicators, maintained and used comprises a sliding pinion 9, the shaft of which, designated by 10, moves in two elongated openings 11 and 12 formed in the plate 6 and in an intermediate bridge 13, respectively.
  • a sliding pinion 9 the shaft of which, designated by 10 moves in two elongated openings 11 and 12 formed in the plate 6 and in an intermediate bridge 13, respectively.
  • the basic caliber 2 also has an additional hour wheel 15, intended to drive the additional indicators of this caliber, which is kept. This additional hour wheel is driven on the ordinary hour barrel wheel, designated by 16.
  • the additional module 3 carries three additional indicators, namely a hand 17 (fig. 1) rotating opposite a tour of the calendar 18, a needle 19 rotating opposite a tour of the days of the week 20, and a disc 21 bearing the indication of the lunar phases appearing through a window 22 of the watch face.
  • the date indicator 17 is driven from the additional hour wheel 15 by the following mechanism (figs. 2 to 5): the date hand 17 is carried by a star wheel 23, with thirty-one teeth, subjected to the action of a jumper spring 24, and which is actuated, once every twenty-four hours, by an elastic control finger 25 carried by a wheel 26 itself taken with the additional hour wheel 15.
  • the number of teeth on wheel 26 is twice that of wheel 15 so that wheel 26 makes one revolution every twenty-four hours and that its finger 25 drives the wheel into a star 23 one step a day.
  • the control mechanism of the indicator 19 for weekdays is similar: this indicator is carried by a star wheel 27, with seven teeth, subjected to the action of a jumper spring 28, than a finger 29 , integral with a wheel 30 engaged with the additional hour wheel 15, drives one step once every twenty-four hours.
  • the disc 21 of the phases of the moon has a toothing 21a of fifty-nine teeth, subjected to the action of a jumper spring 31, with which cooperates, once every twenty-four hours, an elastic finger of control 32 secured to the wheel 30.
  • the shaft 10 carrying the sliding pinion 9 has been extended relative to the initial shaft of the base gauge 2, so as to extend into the cage 4-5 of the additional module 3.
  • This shaft carries a pinion 33 which, in one of its working positions, shown in FIGS. 2 and 6, is engaged with a wheel 34 secured to a corrective star 35, and which, in its second working position, indicated at 33a in FIG. 2, is engaged with a reference 36 meshing with a pinion 37 secured to a corrective star 38.
  • the corrective star 35 cooperates with the star wheel 23 of the dates while the corrective star 38 cooperates with the teeth 21a of the disc 21 lunar months.
  • the indicators 17 and 21 can thus be corrected directly by the control rod 7 when the latter occupies its intermediate position shown in the drawing. It should be noted that, thanks to the fact that the control fingers 25 and 32 are elastic, the correction can be carried out at any time, even when these fingers are engaged with the star wheel that they actuate, without the mechanism may be damaged.
  • the rod 7 occupying its pulled position for setting the hour of the hour and minute hands, designated by 39 and 40 (fig. 1): these needles being brought into the position where they indicate midnight, a reciprocating movement is printed on the control rod 7.
  • the shape of the drive finger 29 and the stop positions of the wheel in star 27 are such that it is driven only in one direction, which allows the indicator 19 to be developed.
  • the variant of figs. 7 to 10 differs from the first embodiment in that the watch includes a fourth additional indicator, namely a hand 41 (fig. 7) rotating opposite a turn 42 of the months of the year.
  • this needle 41 is secured to a star wheel 43, with twelve teeth, subjected to the action of a jumper spring 44.
  • the star wheel 43 is secured to a wheel 45 engaged with a return 46 actuated, once a month, by a control finger 47 secured to a wheel 48 engaged with the wheel 26 described above in relation to the first embodiment, and which rotates by thirty-one days.
  • the development of the month indicator 41 will be carried out using the control rod 7 occupying its intermediate correction position: the star wheel 23 of the dates is driven by the star corrector 35 (see first form execution) and it itself drives the wheel 48 carrying the control finger 47 by means of a reference 49.
  • the wheel 48 and the reference 49 have star teeth, like wheel 23, with pointed teeth whose side faces form an angle of 60 ° between them. The operator will start by adjusting the month indicator and then correct the date indicator.
