Definitions

  • the invention relates to a table unit for a work station, which can be used both as a writing place and as a communication place, the same being equipped with communication devices, in particular in the form of telephone devices and at least one screen, for use as a communication place.
  • the workplace has to be provided with communication facilities to an increasing extent in order to ensure optimal work performance.
  • the work place is essentially a plate-like base, e.g. a table top at a work table or a desk cover at a work desk
  • the communication devices e.g. a telephone station or a computer terminal
  • the means of communication are set up at another workstation, so that the user is from one workstation to the other and has to change. This can be accepted as long as the user has to work at one or the other workplace for a longer period of time.
  • the screens should be set up so that they do not hinder access to the other means of communication. This means that they usually have to be set up at a height that obstructs or even prevents the view of a neighboring workplace. For ergonomic reasons, the plate-shaped base used as a writing surface must have a certain height, which must not be less.
  • the first part of the table surface is expediently provided with a foldable table top, the axis of which can be arranged on the front table edge which is directed towards the user.
  • a foldable table top the axis of which can be arranged on the front table edge which is directed towards the user.
  • a passage channel extending under the table top can be provided at the transition from the first table surface part to the second table surface part, through which lines for direct use certain devices can be led out without having to provide corresponding passages in the table top.
  • the table unit shown in Fig. 1 has a plate-shaped bottle 2, which is arranged between two side walls 3, 4.
  • a free space 5 for the legs of the user is formed under the plate-shaped bottle 2.
  • the space 5 can optionally be used to accommodate a piece of furniture 6, e.g. a drawer body, partially used for eyes. This is indicated in Fig. 1 by dashed lines.
  • the plate-shaped surface 2 is divided into a first table surface part 7 and a second table surface part 8, the first table surface part 7 being designed as a writing space and forming the part of the plate-shaped surface 2 facing the user.
  • the second table surface part 8 lies behind the first table surface part 7 and is designed as a communication space, ie it contains all or at least the largest part of communication means 9 which are necessary for the workplace at which the table unit 1 is used, are required.
  • a structure 10 is provided behind the second table surface part 8, which further communication means, e.g. Screens 11 can accommodate.
  • the second table surface part can be formed as a strongly inclined surface 12 if no screens 11 have to be provided at this point. Communication means can then be installed in the surface 11 in a particularly clearly visible arrangement.
  • FIG. 1 also shows that a further table unit 1 'can be connected to the table unit 1. This can be aligned with the table unit 1 or, as in FIG. 1, angled relative to the table unit 1. In work rooms, it is possible to arrange several table units in a circle and to accommodate the entire line section for the communication means in the central room.
  • a fixed height difference 13 is provided between the first table surface part 7 and the second table surface part 8 at the transition between the two parts.
  • This difference in height ensures that the second table surface part with the communication means 9 can be arranged inclined for a better overview, but that its rear end edge 14 is less high by the height difference 13 than when the second table surface part 8 is directly without a height difference on the first table surface part 7 would be arranged.
  • This reduced height of the second part of the table surface at the end edge 14 benefits the structure 10 which, although it allows the accommodation of standardized screens 11, is less high by the height difference -13. It is precisely this reduction in the height of the structure 10 that is sufficient to ensure that the user has a line of sight on the table unit 1 with other users, e.g. to enable opposite table units.
  • the height difference 13 can also be used to feed cables from devices which have to be placed on the first table surface part 7.
  • the structure of the table top parts and the structure 10 is shown in detail in FIG. 2.
  • the side walls 4, 5 are connected to one another by different longitudinal members 15-19.
  • the side walls are connected to one another. It doesn't matter whether wood, plastic or metal is used as the building material. In particular, this does not affect the formation of the height difference 13.
  • the table top part 7 has a table top 20 which, for example, consists of wood, plastic or metal or a combination of these materials.
  • the tabletop 20 has on the edge on the user side a cover strip 21 arranged perpendicular to the tabletop 20 and which can be formed from the same material as the tabletop 20.
  • the table top 20 is rotatably fastened to the side member 15 by means of a hinge strap 22, the straps of which are attached to the end face of the side member 15 and to the inside of the cover strip 21.
  • the axis of rotation of the hinge band expediently lies on the lower edge of the longitudinal beam 15 and on the free edge of the cover strip 21.
  • the pivotable arrangement of the table top 20 in the region of the longitudinal beam 15 on the user side can, however, also be realized in a different manner.
  • a channel 23 is cut out between the longitudinal beams 16, 17, in which parts of the communication means, e.g. Lines that can be accommodated. Access to the channel 23 is made possible by a passage 24, which is provided in the longitudinal beam 17, see FIG. 3, which shows an enlarged section of the transition between the first and the second table surface part 7, 8.
  • the difference in height 13 ensures that the entrance into the passage 24 is practically invisible from the user side. Nevertheless, 24 lines can be routed through the passage, which are connected to devices, e.g. devices placed on the first table surface part 7 can be connected.
  • a further possibility for accommodating installations for the communication means 9 and the screens 11 is a space 25 formed between the longitudinal beams 17 and 18.
  • the space 25 is closed at the bottom by a trough 26 which can be folded down below the structure 10 by means of a hinge 27 is attached.
  • the tub 26 extends up to the longitudinal beam 15 near the user and thereby covers the channel 23 and the space 25.
  • the fact that the tub 26 can be folded down enables access to the lines accommodated below the table surface parts 7, 8.
  • a line can also be led out of the tub 26 and connected via the cover strip 21 to a device on the first table surface part 7 or on the carcasses 6.
  • the passage 24 and the trough 26 make it possible to lead lines out at any point without having to make any changes to the table top 20.
  • the second table surface part 8 is inclined to such an extent that good observation and good access to the communication means installed there is ensured.
  • the good observability of the screen 11 is also ensured if it is less high to ensure the line of sight between further workplaces than if no height difference 13 were provided.
  • the good observability is achieved by a corresponding inclination of the screen 11.
  • a cable duct 28 is provided below the structure 10 for the laying of lines for the communication means.
  • the table unit described has the advantage that it can be adapted to the various requirements with regard to the communication means to be installed without difficulty. Because the table top 20 can be opened, the recessed cable duct 23 is easily accessible. Through the passage 24, cables can easily be removed from the left as well as the right of the work station. Due to the height difference 13, the overall height of the table unit is 2-4 cm lower as required. As a result, keyboards arranged in the second table surface part 8 are easier to use.
  • the foldable trough 26 forms an excellent installation aid and thereby facilitates the concealed laying of the lines. It is also used to create easily accessible cable exits in additional locations under the table.
  • the second table surface part 8 can be made removable as a whole. This makes it possible to enable a different arrangement of communication means or the installation of additional communication means without great effort.
