Definitions

  • the invention relates to a piece of furniture, in particular a desk, with a cable duct for electrical lines with an outer cover arranged in an outer vertical wall of furniture, which in turn runs vertically.
  • the outside cover of the cable duct for the electrical lines is formed by a separate strip which is placed on the wood or wood-like furniture body. to cover the cable duct with its electrical lines.
  • a foreign bar e.g. made of aluminum can be removed from the furniture body if necessary to expose the cable duct so that work in the cable duct, e.g. the laying of a telephone line can be carried out, but such a separate cover strip made of material deviating from the furniture body acts optically disturbing because of the different surface quality and color and because of the interruption of the furniture surface caused by it.
  • DE-A-2 546 765 describes a piece of furniture, in particular a desk, with a cable duct for electrical lines arranged in an outer vertical furniture wall, which in turn runs vertically, with an outside cover, the furniture wall containing the cable duct in a region comprising the cable duct inner and an outer wall shell is divided vertically, of which the inner wall shell has the cable duct and the outer wall shell is designed as a duct cover that is movable relative to the inner one for exposing the cable duct.
  • the individual profile parts which possibly form an outer wall shell and an inner wall shell, are connected to one another in this known piece of furniture by screws or by a clamping device.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a piece of furniture, in particular a desk or the like.
  • Work table of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1, in which the covering of the cable duct is conceivable, if necessary, without any significant effort or without the aid of tools can be removed in the shortest possible time to enable work in the cable duct without impairing the visual uniformity of the furniture body.
  • outer wall shell is supported in a vertical plane horizontally displaceably on the inner wall shell in the manner of a reciprocating sliding device for normal covering and occasional exposure of the cable duct.
  • the furniture wall itself i.e. its outer wall shell, which forms a cover for the cable duct
  • the cable duct can be exposed at any time for carrying out work by the outer wall shell forms a horizontally reciprocating sliding device for normal coverage and occasional exposure of the cable duct.
  • the furniture wall 1 shows a vertical furniture wall 1, for example a desk, with a vertically extending cable duct 2 for electrical lines arranged therein.
  • the furniture wall 1 comprises a one-piece wall area 3 and a wall area 4 comprising the cable duct 2, in which it is divided vertically into an inner wall shell 5 and an outer wall shell 6.
  • the outer wall shell 6 is as for a Exposing the cable duct 2 movable duct cover is formed by being horizontally displaceably supported on the inner wall shell 5 in a vertical plane.
  • the inner wall shell 5 is provided with horizontal holding and guide strips 7 and 8 on its inside, which in turn are held in engagement with horizontal holding and guide strips 9 and 10 of the outer wall shell 6 fastened to the inside of the outer wall shell 6.
  • the engagement surfaces II (FIG. 3) of the holding and guide strips 7, 9 on the one hand and 8, 10 on the other hand have an inclination from above and outside to the bottom and inside, as a result of which the guide strips 9 and 10 of the outer, movable wall shell 6 have a movement component receive inner, fixed wall shell 5 which merges into the one-piece wall region 3 and holds the outer wall shell 6 securely on the inner wall shell 5.
  • the cable duct 2 is delimited on its side facing the outer edge 12 of the double-shell wall area 4 by a vertical stop bar 13 in the form of a folding bar which is fastened to the inside of the inner wall shell 5.
  • the opposite side of the cable duct 2 is formed by a central part 14 of the wall area 3, which in the illustrated embodiment is formed by three parts adjoining each other in vertical planes, but which are firmly connected to one another, so that the wall area 3, in contrast to the two shells Formation of the wall area 4 can be described as one-piece or single-shell.
  • a counter strip 15 which is fastened to the inside of the wall and is in turn vertical and designed as a folding strip, is held in contact with the stop strip 13.
  • the stop bar 13 limits the insertion movement of the wall shell 4 against the direction arrows 16 shown in FIG. 2, which characterize the opening direction of the wall shell 6 for releasing the cable duct 2.
  • a further stop bar 17 in the form of a folding bar is fastened in the vicinity of the outer edge 12 on the inside of the wall shell 5, which cooperates with a counter bar 18, again designed as a folding bar, on the inside of the wall shell 6.
  • the counter strip 18 is connected directly to an edge strip 19 forming the outer edge 12, which forms part of the outer wall shell 6.
  • the folding strip 18 forms part of a locking device 20, by means of which the outer, movable wall shell 6 is releasably locked to the inner, stationary wall shell 5 in its position covering the cable duct 2.
  • a sleeve 21 is inserted into the folding strip 18, the end face of which faces the wall shell 5 has a spherical cap-shaped recess, with which, in contrast to this recess, a resiliently pressed ball 22 of the inner wall shell 5 comes into locking engagement in the manner of a ball pressure screw to form a releasable locking between the two wall shells 5 and 6 in the covering position, in which the outer wall shell 6 engages over the cable duct 2 with an inner end region 23.
  • the inner edge 24 of the wall shell 6 is held in a guide system on part 14 of the fixed wall area 3.
  • the edge strip 24 forms, with an edge strip 25 of the fixed wall region 3 opposite it, a gap which can serve as a handle for displacing the opening of the wall shell 6 in the direction of the arrows 16.
  • a handle 26 can be formed on the outer edge strip 19 in connection with an upper horizontal table top 27 of the desk, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 4.
  • the cable duct 2 can be subdivided into a single lane or in the vertical direction and thereby be designed as two or more lanes.
  • a two-lane cable duct is created by a central vertical subdivision strip 28, while in the modification according to FIG. 2, a three-lane cable duct is created by two vertical subdivision strips 29 and 30.
  • a cable outlet socket known per se with a removable cover is illustrated.
  • An inserted through the socket 31 into the vertical cable duct 2 is guided to a, in turn known, inlet cable socket 32 in the upper table top 27, the vertical cable duct 2 continuing in the example shown into a horizontal cable duct 33, which is under of the entire table top 27 and can extend into a similar vertical cable duct of a further furniture wall opposite the furniture wall 1.
  • the outer wall shell 6 ' is pivotally supported by a hinge device 34 about a vertical axis on the furniture wall 1 in an edge region adjacent to the cable duct 2 in order to form a movable cover.
  • the wall shell 6 ' is shown in its closed position, in which it overlaps the cable duct 2 with its wall region 23.
  • the wall shell 6 ' To open the cable duct 2, pivot according to the arrow 35, so that the wall shell 6 'can assume the position 6 "shown in dash-dot lines, in which the cable duct 2 is accessible from the outside in order to make additions or changes to the installed lines, for example high-voltage lines. , Low-voltage or data carrier cables.
