Definitions

  • the present invention relates to devices intended to retain a passenger in a motor vehicle in his seat in the event of sudden deceleration thereof, for example during emergency braking or a collision.
  • the invention relates to a loop which, in a device of the type indicated, is intended to removably fix a strand of a safety strap to a fixed point on the vehicle body, for example by means of '' a tab forming a bolt bolt.
  • loops comprising a housing in which is placed a bracket in the form of a stirrup which is intended to be fixed to a retaining means fixed relative to the body of the vehicle and which defines between its wings, a guide corridor for the bolt opening at one end of this stirrup.
  • These loops further comprise a locking member mounted oscillating in the stirrup around an axis which is perpendicular to the wings of this stirrup as well as a stop member mounted sliding in these wings and erasable by means of a button. control, against the action of an elastic return device.
  • the bolt is retained in the loop by a projecting part of the locking member which prevents the withdrawal of the bolt from the locking passage, for example by entering an opening in the bolt.
  • this projecting part comes to cooperate with a stop edge formed in the bottom of the support stirrup, possibly by elastic deformation of the axis of oscillation of the locking member in the stirrup, which makes it possible to obtain a high efficiency of the buckle and a considerable retaining force of the bolt.
  • a buckle for a seat belt comprising a support intended to be fixed to a retaining means and defining a rectilinear passage into which the bolt can be introduced and which defines a sliding point. for this one.
  • the bolt locking member is articulated on the support around an axis which extends parallel to the plane of the passage.
  • This locking member may have a first abutment surface retaining the bolt and extending perpendicular to the plane of the passage, being transverse with respect thereto, in the locked position of the loop while the locking member may also have at least a second abutment surface which is intended, in the locked position of the loop, to come into contact with a stop member mounted movable in translation on the support, in a direction perpendicular to the axis of articulation of the locking member. The movement of this stop member releases the locking member and therefore the pin when opening the loop which is controlled by an operating button mounted on the support so as to be able to move in the same direction as the stop device.
  • the stop member is formed by a one-piece body having means for guiding and holding the springs extending on either side of this body in opposite directions perpendicular to the axis of articulation of the member. lock.
  • a buckle in particular a seat belt for a motor vehicle, intended to removably fix a strand thereof to a fixed point on the vehicle body, comprising a strike assembly and a bolt secured to the strand to be fixed, the strike assembly comprising housed in a housing, a body intended to be fixed to a retaining means integral with the vehicle, which delimits a passage and a sliding plane for said bolt , means for locking the bolt in the loop, constituted by a projecting part of the body extending in said passage, and intended to engage in a recess in the bolt, in the locking position of the latter, means for control for unlocking the bolt, means for ejecting the bolt and means for holding the bolt in the locked position on said protruding part of the body, constituted by a slide mounted movable by said bolt during its introduction, into the horn ps in the general direction of movement of the bolt.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to provide a seat belt buckle whose construction is simple and easy assembly, by reducing the number of members involved in the constitution of such a buckle.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide a seat belt buckle which is smaller and lighter than the buckles of the prior art and the manufacture of which can be undertaken without respecting tight tolerances.
  • the subject of the invention is a buckle, in particular a seat belt for a motor vehicle, intended to removably fix a strand thereof to a fixed point on the vehicle body, comprising a striker assembly and a bolt secured to the strand to be fixed, the strike assembly comprising housed in a housing, a body intended to be fixed to a retaining means secured to the vehicle, which delimits a passage and a sliding plane for said bolt, locking means of the bolt in the loop, constituted by a projecting part of the body extending in said passage, and intended to engage in a recess of the bolt, in the locked position thereof, of the bolt unlocking control means , means for ejecting the latter and means for holding the bolt in the locked position on said projecting part of the body, constituted by a slider mounted movable by said bolt during its introduction, in the body in the general direction of movement of the bolt, said slide being urged by an elastic return member and cooperating in the locking position of the bolt, with the body and a corresponding
  • a seat belt buckle As shown in FIG. 1, a seat belt buckle according to the invention comprises a housing 1 constituted for example, in a manner known per se, of an upper element 2 and of a lower element 3. Inside this housing 1 is arranged a strike assembly comprising a body 4 intended to be fixed to a retaining means (not shown) secured to the vehicle.
  • the housing 1 also includes a first opening 5 whose walls are inclined, opening into the body 4, which defines a passage and a sliding plane for, for example, a tongue forming a bolt bolt, secured to a strand to be fixed seat belt.
  • the housing 1 also includes a second opening 6 formed in the end of the housing opposite the end in which the opening 5 is made.
  • This opening 6 is formed opposite one end of the body 4 and is intended for example to allow the passage of a retaining means (not shown), one end of which is fixed to the vehicle and the other end of which is fixed to the body 4 by means, for example, of a recess 4a formed therein, so as to make the body 4 integral with the vehicle.
  • a part of the body 4 can protrude outside the housing 1 through the opening 6, so as to allow the assembly of an assembled buckle on a vehicle.
  • the seat belt buckle according to the invention also comprises a slider 7 mounted so that it can slide in said body between a front position and a rear position as will be seen later, in the general direction of movement of the bolt in the body.
  • This slide 7 includes a guide boss 7a disposed in a first opening 8 of a first part 9 of the body 4 to guide it during its movement.
  • the slide also includes a centering pin 10 intended to receive one end of a spring 11 whose function will be defined below and whose other end is centered on a pin 12 of an unlocking member 13 of the bolt, articulated on the body 4.
  • This unlocking member 13 is constituted by an operating part having two branches 13a, 13b extending approximately 90 ° relative to each other, and one of which cooperates with the spring 11 and the another with a corresponding surface of the bolt to unlock it as will be described in more detail below.
  • This unlocking member also includes an articulation surface 14 cooperating with the body and more particularly with a stop edge of the latter to allow it to tilt relative to the latter.
  • the branch 13a of this unlocking member extends in the direction of a second lumen 15 of a second part 16 of the body 4 extending approximately parallel and at a certain distance from the first part of this, thus defining the passage and the sliding plane for the bolt.
  • This second part 16 of the body 4 also includes a projecting part 17, for example stamped, near the lumen 15, and extending in the passage defined by the body, this projecting part having a stop edge 17a intended as will be seen subsequently to cooperate with a rim of a recess of the bolt to lock the latter inside the loop.
  • the surface of the slider intended to cooperate with the front face of the bolt during its introduction into the loop has at least one ramp 18 whose function will be defined later.
  • the slider 7 can move forward under the action of the spring 11 in order to cooperate with the first part of the body 4 and a corresponding surface of the bolt 19 to maintain the recess of the bolt in the locked position around the projecting part.
  • the projecting part 17 of the body 4 and more particularly the stop edge 17a thereof and the corresponding edge of the recess 20 of the bolt cooperate together to hold the bolt in the loop.
  • the slide 7 prevents any movement of the bolt tending to disengage it from the projecting part of the body.
  • the unlocking control means (not shown) which cooperate with, for example, protruding parts of the slide 7 to move the latter towards a rear position for releasing the bolt 19.
  • This displacement also has the effect of compressing the spring 11 and of tilting the unlocking member 13 around its articulation surface so that the branch 13a thereof comes to bear against a corresponding surface of the bolt and causes the latter, and more particularly the recess 20, to disengage from the projecting part 17 of the body 4.
  • the spring acts on the slide 7 to bring it back to its front position and thus cooperate with the front face of the bolt to eject it from the body 4.
  • the bolt locking means consist of a projecting part of the body, this projecting part being intended to engage in a recess of the bolt, in the locking position of the latter.
  • the slider constitutes means for maintaining the recess of the bolt, around this projection this slider being mounted displaceable by said bolt when it is introduced into the body, in the general direction of movement of the bolt.
  • the slider is also biased by an elastic return member and cooperates in the bolt locking position, with the body and a corresponding surface of the bolt to maintain the latter in the locking position, under the action of the elastic return member.
  • the slide is also mounted displaceable in said body under the action of the unlocking control means between this holding position and a bolt release position in which it cooperates with ejection means to eject this bolt. of the loop.
  • ejection means consist of the elastic return member, one end of which bears against the slide and the other against the bolt unlocking member, this unlocking member being articulated on the body. , to unlock the bolt by releasing the recess therefrom from the protruding part of the body.
  • the bolt unlocking control means constituted for example by sliding buttons arranged on either side of the housing, can cooperate with projecting parts 7a, 7b of the slide, extending beyond the body 4, to move this one.
  • the spring 11 is calculated in a manner known per se to allow the complete recess of the recess of the bolt, of the projecting part of the body, before the unlocking member rises in the body, this in order to '' avoid involuntary locking of the bolt when ejecting it from the buckle.
  • the guide boss 7a of the slider can comprise a projecting part cooperating with an unlocking member sliding on one of the faces of the housing to ensure the displacement of the latter and the unlocking of the bolt.
