- this object is achieved in that the insulating strips only extend over the length of the conductor connection part of the contact elements, that the contact elements in the region of their conductor connection part have at least one contact slot set up for pressing in a conductor from the open side of the chambers, which extends from across the partition-directed insulation displacement contact limbs are limited, and that the contact elements can be latched into the chambers by pressing in the conductor connection part from the flat side of the chambers towards the flat side in such a way that the insulation displacement contact legs form shoulders which abut the partition walls and are overlapped by locking projections of the partitions.
- This design of the connector enables a particularly simple connection of the contact elements with the insulating strips, since no pushing movement is necessary for this, because the chambers are continuously open in the direction of insertion. Due to the special latching of the contact elements in the insulating strips, the holding effect of the latching projections is further improved by pressing a conductor into the contact slots of the contact elements, since the insulation displacement contact legs are pushed even more under the council projections with slight deflection to the outside.
