Definitions

  • the invention relates to a tilting mast with a stationary mountable mast shoe and a tiltable mast mounted thereon with a lower mast foot part and an upper mast tube part, and a double-acting hydraulic piston-cylinder unit, which on the one hand on the mast shoe below the tilting bearing point and on the other hand off-center on the tilting mast, in particular on the mast tube part of which is articulated above the tilting bearing point, the mast shoe being a tube or box body which is essentially closed in cross section and the mast base part is a tube or box body which is open on one side in cross section, which encloses the mast shoe in an upright position and a hand hole which can be closed with a detachable cover has, as well as with a locking mechanism for locking the mast shoe against the mast foot part when the mast is erected.
  • Such constructions are intended for tipping masts which, because of their size, cannot be put down or set up manually.
  • such constructions are required for masts that carry a top load, for example lighting devices that also need regular maintenance.
  • an auxiliary piston-cylinder unit must therefore be provided, which is used to tip over the post upper part when it is raised by the pressurized main piston-cylinder unit or an additional holding device for the mast in the raised position Position in the slot be present, after which the piston-cylinder unit can be relieved of pressure.
  • the mechanical holding device would have to be very large, since it has to absorb the entire weight of the mast. For operation, it also applies that there is a possibility of errors if the correct sequence of control, reversing and locking processes is not observed. Falling back of the upper post part in the elongated hole guide in the event of incorrect control or incorrect operation can lead to damage to the mast or to the lighting device carried by it.
  • tilting mast constructions which can be erected and put down by hand, for example by a rope. In both, locking elements can be unlocked against a spring force by hand with the normal hand force.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a tilting mast structure that is simplified both in structure and in the control of the actuators, in particular the initiation of the tilting process should be facilitated without the risk that this is done unauthorized or unintentional.
  • the locking mechanism consists of a locking element which can be unlocked against spring force and which is attached in the mast shoe and a latching means which is attached to the mast foot part, and that the locking element is adjustable via the piston-cylinder unit which can be linked to the end of the pivotable actuating lever which is led out of the mast shoe is.
  • the locking mechanism consists of a locking element that can be unlocked against spring force, is attached in the mast shoe and a latching means attached to the mast foot part, and the locking element has a locking element that protrudes from the open hand hole of the mast shoe, with the locking element or with one connected to it Lever linkage temporarily connectable extension rod is unlockable.
  • the tilting process can be initiated by pressurizing the piston-cylinder unit in the sense of shortening after the locking device securely accommodated inside the mast shoe has been released.
  • the mast After releasing the locking device, the mast is in an almost unstable equilibrium, so that an auxiliary piston-cylinder unit or the like can advantageously be dispensed with. Protection against unauthorized access is ensured by the fact that the locking mechanism is located inside the mast shoe designed as a box body and cannot be unlocked manually from the outside.
  • the locking element is designed as a displaceable bolt, displaceable locking bolt, pivotable pawl or rotatable cam and the latching means as an eyelet, a tab provided with a hole, detent or recess.
  • a securing element accessible via the hand hole for securing the locking elements can be attached inside the mast shoe.
  • a locking element is arranged on the releasable cover for the hand hole in the mast shoe, and part of the locking mechanism, in particular the extendable hand lever in the locking position is blocked by the locking element when the lid is closed.
  • the locking element ensures that the lid can only be closed in the locked position and that the lid is prevented from closing when the mechanism is unlocked. The respective operator who does not leave the tilting mast without closing the cover is thus forced to operate the locking device properly in the sense of locking.
  • the cover can furthermore provide access to electrical installations of a light mast arranged inside the mast shoe, so that a dual function is thereby fulfilled.
  • the lower end of the piston-cylinder unit can be fastened in a hole in the eye of the movable actuating lever by means of a plug-in connection, that in the locking position the eye hole at the lever end above a lower fixed articulation point for the piston-cylinder unit and that in the unlocked position the lever end can be fixed together with the lower end of the piston-cylinder unit at the fixed lower articulation point by means of a plug connection through congruent eye holes.
  • the piston-cylinder unit For actuation, the piston-cylinder unit is acted on as an extension and the locking mechanism is thereby released.
  • the piston-cylinder unit which is supported against the floor or the foundation, prevents the mast from overturning.
  • the lower articulation point of the piston-cylinder unit is now also fixed at the fixed lower articulation point, after which the piston-cylinder unit is reversed and pressurized to shorten it.
  • the mast is tipped over and its controlled folding is carried out. Since unlocking is only possible with the aid of the piston-cylinder unit and is locked again immediately when reversing without establishing the additional plug-in connection, in the embodiment described here, the mast can only be tilted when the piston-cylinder unit is fitted as specified. This provides increased security against any incorrect operation.
  • the locking device can be characterized in that when the mast is erected, the eyelet or tab on the mast foot part passes through an opening in the mast shoe into the interior of the mast shoe.
  • This configuration is particularly advantageous when the locking device, as described above, comprises a simple hand lever and a cover provided with a locking element.
  • a combination with a lever end protruding from the mast shoe, as also described above, is also possible via a linkage, the piston-cylinder unit being articulated at the lever end to unlock the mast.
  • the locking device can be characterized in that - when the mast is erected, locking bolts horizontally arranged perpendicular to the actuating lever pass through elongated holes in the lower part of the mast shoe and for locking the erected mast with its ends in recesses in the engages lower lateral edges of the mast foot part.
  • the actuating lever can be designed as a one-armed lever, which simplifies the construction, since intermediate links and transmission links can be completely eliminated.
  • the actuating lever should not be able to be actuated manually from the outside by the selected spring force or the selected transmission ratio
  • the securing element is a securing pin via which the bolt, a lever connected to the bolt element or a the spring leading and from this protruding rod can be fixed. In conjunction with a lockable cover in the mast shoe, this further increases the security against unauthorized unlocking of the mast.
  • the upper articulation point for the piston-cylinder unit is preferably arranged off-center on the mast tube part vertically above the lower articulation point, the corresponding bearing surface being able to be provided on a collar which is welded like a pipe clamp or on a bolt inserted through the tube.
  • the piston-cylinder unit is designed as a transportable unit which is attached to the tilting mast only when required and via an independent pressure generation system, in particular with a hand pump, and via its own control systems for reversing between extension and shortening, and in particular is provided with throttle elements to control the tilting speed of the mast.
  • the tilting mast is erected and locked in the left half of the picture, unlocked in each case in the right half of the picture and shown laid horizontally.
  • the construction has a box-shaped mast shoe 1 with a generally square cross section, the base plate 24 of which can be screwed onto a foundation in a stationary manner.
  • a tilting mast 2 is mounted in a tilting bearing point 6, which comprises a mast foot part 3 and a mast tube part 4.
  • the mast foot part 3 of the tilting mast 2 encompasses the mast shoe 1 in an upright position, its basic shape being a box open at the bottom and on one side.
  • the bevel 25 on the mast shoe 1 enables the pivoting movement of the cover plate 26 of the mast foot part 3 about the tilting bearing point 6.
  • the upper mast tube part 4 of generally round cross section is placed on the cover plate 26, with gusset plates 27 being provided for reinforcement.
  • an eye bearing block 15 is provided, to which a hydraulic piston-cylinder unit 5 can be linked with the lower end.
  • the upper end of the piston-cylinder unit 5 can be articulated in a bearing block 29 which is formed at the end of a bolt or a clamp band 23 in the area of the mast tube part 4.
  • the piston-cylinder unit 5, the control means and pressure generating means are not shown, is reversible and can be lengthened and shortened under load.
  • a vertically protruding tab 9 with a hole is provided in the interior of the mast foot part 3, which, when the mast is erected, passes through an opening 10 in the mast shoe 1.
  • a bolt 8 is provided in the mast shoe 1, which is vertically displaceable against the force of a spring 28. The latch 8 can be inserted into the tab 9 and locks the tilting mast 2 by resting on the inner wall of the mast shoe 1.
  • a two-armed hand lever 14 is arranged on the bolt 8, which is blocked in the locked position by a locking element 13 inside a removable cover 12.
  • the hand lever 14 can be pressed down in particular by means of an extension rod 20, as a result of which the bolt 8 is pulled out of the tab 9.
  • the extension rod 20 can be fixed on the mast shoe 1 by means of a plug-in pin connection.
  • a one-armed lever 30 is arranged on the bolt 8, which can be adjusted via a handlebar 31 by the operating lever 32.
  • the two-armed actuating lever 32 mounted on an axis of rotation 22, the lever end 17 of which passes through an opening 16 in the mast shoe 1, has an outside eye hole 19 to which the piston-cylinder unit 5 can be articulated.
  • the lever 32 is moved clockwise, whereby the mast is unlocked.
  • the lower articulation point of the piston-cylinder unit 5 comes into congruence with the eye hole 18 of the eye bearing block 15 fixedly arranged on the base plate 24.
  • the locking mechanism 7 By establishing a plug-in pin connection 21 between the lower articulation point of the piston-cylinder unit 5 , Lever end 17 and eye bracket 15, the locking mechanism 7 is simultaneously held in its unlocked position and the piston-cylinder unit 5 is set such that pressurization in the sense of shortening causes the tilting mast 2 to be flipped over.
  • a securing bolt is provided on part of the bolt 8 for securing the locking mechanism 7.
  • an operating lever 36 is mounted inside the mast shoe 1 on an axis of rotation 35 and passes with the lever end 17 through an opening 16 in the mast shoe 1.
  • the cranked lever end 17 has an upper eye hole 19 for articulating the lower end of the piston-cylinder unit 5 and a lower eye hole 37 that is located in the locking position above the eye hole 18 in the eye bracket 15.
  • a vertically arranged, horizontally arranged locking pin 38 is fastened to the actuating lever 36 and passes through elongated holes 39 in the mast shoe 1 on both sides. This locking pin 38 engages in the locking position in recesses 40 on the lower edge of the mast foot part 3, which is at a distance from the Bottom plate 24 extends, and in this way locks the mast in an upright position.
  • a rod 41 is articulated on the actuating lever 36, via which the force of a spring 28 is transmitted to the actuating lever 36 in the sense of holding it up.
  • the rod 41 can be locked with a securing bolt 42. After the rod 41 has been unlocked, the actuating lever 36 can be pressed downward against the force of the spring 28 by pressurizing the piston-cylinder unit 5, as a result of which the locking pin 38 comes out of the region of the recess 40, as a result of which the tilting mast 2 is unlocked.
  • the tab g can be replaced by a pivotable latch. This is then pivotally arranged on the mast foot part 3 and loaded by a spring. When erecting the mast, the pawl is moved through the opening 10 and rests with a hook part on the inner wall of the mast shoe part 1, whereby the mast shoe and mast foot part are locked together.
  • a rotatable cam could be provided which, after being rotated, creates a positive connection between the mast foot part 3 and the mast shoe 1.
