Definitions
- grate plates are arranged in an inclined grate path, the inclination of which is slightly less than the slope angle of the respective type of solid fuel, and in which the grate plates generally perform a reciprocating movement through which the grate track is waved to move the fuel layer down over the sloping grate track.
- the combustion air is introduced below the grate track and let through the grate plates into the fuel layer.
- grate plates are used, which form horizontal channels between their stair-like overlapping plate edges and only allow the combustion air to pass through them into the fuel layer.
- the invention is based, for combustion chambers of such boiler-type combustion devices, which belong more to the type and size of conventional boilers for hot water heating systems of buildings and for which ash removal
- the combustion chamber which can be fired with various types of solid fuels, is structurally and for reasons of space, the design and use of the sliding and sliding grates customary in large combustion plants is not possible to create a moving grate that moves the fire or ash bed effectively and reliably even when the fuel layer is moving horizontally and discharges the combustion residues from the combustion chamber, which prevents fuel or ash from falling through the grate track and thereby makes additional devices under the grate track for removing residues that have fallen through unnecessary, but on the other hand introduces the combustion air into the fuel layer over a large area over the grate surface.
- the moving grate moving at the bottom of a combustion chamber 6 with filler opening 7 and ash removal opening 8 consists of several horizontal plates 1-5, which lie in a row in a step-like manner, the top plate 1 on which the one Filling opening 7 containing the end of the combustion chamber 6, and which form a closed, fuel and ash impermeable grate level.
- the plates 1 - 5 are horizontally displaceable in side guides.
- the plates 1, 3 and 5, which are odd in order, and the even plates 2, 4 are each connected to form a package.
- the plates 1, 3, 5 and the plates 2, 4 are offset in the row direction by the same horizontal dimension between their front edges.
- the two packages can be displaced relative to one another, namely up to the horizontal dimension of the displacement of the front edges of the panel, so that, for example, the panel 1 moves from the position in FIG. 1 on the panel 2 to the position in FIG. 2, and this on the panel Push 2 lying fire or ash bed down to plate 3.
- the plate 2 pushes the bed of fire or ash lying on the plate 3 onto the plate 4.
- This relative displacement of the two plate packs against one another can take place due to the displaceability of only one of the two packets, the stroke path of which should then correspond to the entire horizontal dimension of the displacement of the plate front edges.
- the stroke length of each plate pack then only having to correspond to half the horizontal dimension of the displacement of the plate front edges.
- the package with the odd plates 1, 3, 5 is coupled by a linkage 9 with a controllable drive device 10 and the package with the even plates 2, 4 by a linkage 11 with a controllable drive device 12.
- the stroke size of the drive devices 10 and 12 and the coupled plate packs is ver changeable, so that even smaller strokes of the plate packs can be set as the horizontal dimension of the displacement of the plate leading edges.
- the combustion air is fed into the fuel layer in that the plates consist of at least one of the packages of hollow boxes which are connected to an air supply line and are provided on their upper box wall 13 with a large number of small, nozzle-like air blow-out holes 14 distributed over the box surface (FIG 3).
- the plates consist of at least one of the packages of hollow boxes which are connected to an air supply line and are provided on their upper box wall 13 with a large number of small, nozzle-like air blow-out holes 14 distributed over the box surface (FIG 3).
- the air blown out of them in the layer of fuel-air quantity can be regulated in that the odd plates 1 and 3 are more or less advanced from the position of Figure 1 and the surface of the H ohlkastenplatten 2 , 4 cover.
- the plates of both packages are advantageously designed as hollow boxes.
- the linkages 9 and 11 can be formed as a hollow linkage for the air supply in the box girder plates of both packages. If the plates of both packages consist of hollow boxes for the supply of the combustion air, the volume regulation of the air emerging from the straight hollow box plates 2, 4 can take place through the changeable covering by means of the hollow box plates 1, 3 and with this covering the quantity regulation can be done from the odd ones Hollow box panels 1, 3, 5 emerging air take place in that a common air flap, not shown, is arranged in their air supply or hollow rods 9.
- the formation of the plates consisting of hollow boxes with a large number of fine air-blowing nozzles distributed over the plate surface results in a fine and equal moderate distribution of the air blown into the fuel layer.
- the fine air jets emerging from the nozzle holes are shifted from one entry point into the ember bed to another entry point, so that the plurality of the box girder plates go up escaping fine air jets and their displaceability compared to the ember bed results in a uniform ember bed combustion.
- the plates When formed as hollow boxes, the plates form a grate level which is completely closed at the bottom, so that separate, additional devices under the feed grate for removing quantities of fuel or ash which have fallen through are unnecessary.
- the blowing out of the combustion air from the H ohlkysten in a plurality of fine jets of air by means of a plurality of fine nozzle holes causes the one hand an intensive cooling in particular, the upper wall 13 of the hollow boxes which are thereby produced from conventional casting material for fire grates, and prevents the other hand, that Fuel dust or ash dust can fall into the hollow box through the nozzle holes against the flow speed of the fine air jets emerging from the nozzle holes.
- the hollow boxes consist of a lower part 15 with an opening hollow rod 11 or 9 and a removable upper hollow box wall 13, so that the hollow box can be opened by lifting off the upper wall 13 to remove any solid particles that have fallen into it.

Abstract
