Definitions
- the invention relates to a steel, in particular for tools for the hot forming of metals and alloys.
- Hot working steels are used for the production of forging dies, dies, patrices, press dies and the like. It is essential for hot working steels of this type that they also have a corresponding hardness even at higher working temperatures, for example 650 ° C., and this hardness can be maintained for a long time even when kept at this temperature. Furthermore, it is of particular interest that the hardness of the tool is not only given on the surface of the tool, but also that the hardness is approximately the same in the entire cross section. The creep behavior at elevated temperatures should also be low so that long service lives of such tools can be achieved. Increasing the tool life not only means lower unit consumption per unit of time, but also makes it possible to minimize set-up times caused by tool replacement.
- DE-A1 3 041 565 discloses a steel with the following composition in% by weight:
- the object of the present invention is to create a steel, in particular for tools for the hot forming of metals, which ensures a longer service life even at higher tool temperatures than before. It is therefore essential that the combination of properties of tempering resistance is optimized even at higher temperatures, elongation at break and constriction at higher temperatures and at least creep at higher temperatures.
- the time-break elongation in% and the time-break constriction in% were also tested on three samples in each case in accordance with DIN 50145, and the corresponding values can be found in Table 3.
- the curing of the samples was - as mentioned above - in which the experiments were carried out at 750 ° C.
- the hardness profile in the cross-section of the samples (25 x 25 mm and height 20 mm) is determined at room temperature, whereby the hardness on the surface determines 25%, 50% and 75% below it and on the opposite surface (100%) and reproduced in Table 4.

Description
-
Rest Eisen und herstellungsbedingte Verunreinigungen besteht.
