Abstract

To be able to mount a mitered door to a mitered wall and open it as wide as possible, and for keeping the miter joint as tight as possible, a hinge for the door comprises two base parts or inner and outer housings which are likewise mitered, making close contact with each other in the "closed position" of the hinge and being coordinated with the miter plane of the piece of furniture or the like. The two base parts are interconnected by long brackets and short brackets, the long brackets forming crosses and being connected by a pin. The inner housing is adjustable relative to the outer housing in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction, each by given amounts. Each adjustment is made via a turnable pinion acting upon a rack of a first intermediate member. The adjustment of the inner housing relative to the outer housing is achieved via the intermediate members, each of which is retained in one direction.

Description

The invention relates to a hinge for articulating a door, in particular a piece of furniture, on a wall with two base bodies connected to one another by means of straps, on each of which at least one long and one short strap are articulated laterally next to one another, each having a long strap with a short one is articulated and also the central areas of the long tabs are hinged together. Such a hinge is known from FR-A-828 436. With the help of this hinge, a door of a piece of furniture, for example perpendicular to a wall, can be brought into an extended position by rotating it 90 °. In the case of the known hinge, the two base bodies are attached or screwed to the wall on the one hand and the door on the other. If one or both of the parts is not in the intended position, the door opposite the wall does not assume the intended position either in the closed position or in the open position. This is undesirable, particularly for furniture, for aesthetic reasons. If you want to avoid deviations, you have to take an extraordinary amount of time for assembly, which leads to particularly high production costs.

A hinge has become known from FR-A-2 368 596, with the aid of which a door can be adjusted relative to a wall in two mutually perpendicular directions. However, adjustment is only possible on the cabinet side. In addition, one of the adjustment directions runs perpendicular to the body level and the other in the body level. An adjustment in the direction perpendicular to this within the cabinet level is just as impossible as the adjustment on the door side. In this respect, although this hinge offers a certain advantage over the former, the adjustment options are not sufficient to ensure a decisive improvement when installing a door on a wall. Overall, high demands are still placed on the accuracy, in particular the assembly of the door-side hinge part. In addition, the door in this hinge can only be pivoted in relation to the walls in the manner known for revolving doors, because the connection of the two hinge halves takes place via a simple hinge arm.

The object of the invention is therefore to develop a hinge of the type described in such a way that the door can be struck exactly against the wall, in particular, of a piece of furniture despite simple and rapid installation.

To solve this problem it is proposed according to the invention that the hinge according to the preamble of claim 1 is characterized in that each base body is designed as an inner housing which is adjustable in two mutually perpendicular axes, is held in an outer housing which can be mounted on the door or wall . One outer housing is attached to the wall and the other to the door, whereby the door is of course already aligned as precisely as possible with respect to the wall. Any position errors that are still present can be varied in two dimensional directions, for example in the vertical direction and in the horizontal direction, within predetermined limits. In this case, the inner housing connected to the assigned tab ends is shifted in the longitudinal and / or transverse direction by the necessary amount relative to its outer housing. Such alignment is especially important when the door and the wall are mitred. It is precisely there that the door must be precisely aligned with the wall for visual reasons. No particularly high accuracy requirements are imposed on the fastening of the outer housing, so that from this point of view the assembly can be carried out quickly and inexpensively. Aligning the inner housing does not require a lot of time. Starting from a central position, the adjustment movement, for example in the case of a furniture hinge, can be, for example, two millimeters or somewhat more in each direction and in each direction.

Ihre Größe und Anordnung der Lagerachsen bestimmen die Kinematik beim Öffnen der Tür.With such hinges, the tabs take on the role of handlebars. Their size and arrangement of the bearing axes determine the kinematics when the door is opened.

The new hinge can be made very robust and stable. Its space requirement is also not very large.

As a rule, two such hinges will be used, possibly more for tall doors. In addition, the stability of this hinge naturally increases with the number of long and short tabs used per base body.

Furthermore, when designing the hinge or the outer housing, it must be taken into account that its assembly should be possible using the tools generally available in relevant companies, for example cabinet makers.

A further development of such a hinge, in which the effective length of each long tab is approximately twice as large as that of each short, is characterized in that the articulation points of the long tabs enclose an angle of approximately 160 °. This has a particularly favorable effect on the kinematics of opening and closing. The above-mentioned ratio of the lengths of the short and long tabs contributes to the fact that a mitred door can be opened relatively widely with this hinge, for example by approximately 130 ° to 140 ° with respect to the closed position. Otherwise, the three articulation points do not necessarily have to enclose the specified angle of approx. 160 °, rather such a hinge also functions when the three articulation points lie on a straight line.

Wenn beispielsweise der längere wirksame Hebelarm 22 mm beträgt, so ist die zugehörige Länge des kürzeren Hebelarms etwa 19,2 mm.In a further embodiment of the invention it is proposed that the long tab from one there is a shorter and longer lever arm, the lengths of which behave approximately as 1 to 1.15 and the shorter lever arm is assigned to the short bracket. The "middle" hinge point of the long tabs is therefore almost between the two outer hinge points. Slight differences in length of the two lever arms are advantageous with regard to the desired opening and closing behavior, that is to say the entire kinematics. For example, if the longer effective lever arm is 22 mm, the associated length of the shorter lever arm is approximately 19.2 mm.

A further preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the articulation points of each base body with the connecting axis of the long tabs and the articulation point of its short tab with the associated long tab mark the corners of a parallelogram in every position of the hinge. Since each hinge has two basic bodies, there are also two parallelograms of this type with a common corner point, namely the connecting axis of the intersecting long tabs. In the starting position of the hinge, the two base bodies are close together and the parallelograms are relatively elongated. In the course of the opening movement, the parallelograms increasingly approach a square shape, which, however, is not exactly achieved due to the lever ratios mentioned. If the parallelograms are opened even further, the parallelograms collapse, and in the end they assume an elongated shape. However, this runs transversely to the elongated shape initially assumed. At the end of the opening movement, the two flat parallelograms are approximately extended from each other. The two base bodies are now at a maximum distance from one another.

It is particularly advantageous that the outer housing is designed as a drilling housing and consists essentially of a pot-shaped mounting body and a mounting plate attached to the rim of the pot, the mounting body being chamfered at 45 ° and in the "closed position" the oblique edges of the two Bearing bodies abut one another or are assigned to one another at least approximately in parallel. Boring fittings are known as such. As a result, the necessary tools, such as milling cutters or special drills, are generally available from the user or at least easily obtainable. While the mounting body is inserted into the door on the one hand or the wall on the other hand, the mounting plate lies flat against the inner surface of the door or wall. However, it is entirely possible to also let the mounting plate in a little so that its outer surface is flush with the inner surface of the door or the inner wall. In addition, at least one fastening hole for inserting a fastening screw or the like can be provided on the mounting plate, in particular on both sides of the mounting body. The preferred chamfering of the assembly body at 45 ° enables this hinge to be assigned to the 45 ° miter plane. The 45 ° bevelled edge of the mounting body runs flush with the miter surface of the door on the one hand and the wall on the other. In the latter case, the 45 ° edges lie against each other when the door is closed. The chamfering is expediently carried out in such a way that a short but complete cylinder of the outer housing remains in the area of the pot bottom, i.e. the slope is not led directly to the bottom of the outer housing. As a result, the outer housing is completely enclosed by the material of the door or the wall in the region of its base.

Another preferred embodiment is characterized in each case by a rotary member mounted on the inner housing for the longitudinal and transverse adjustment, the rotational movement of which can be implemented via an intermediate member in a relative movement of the inner housing relative to the outer housing, the intermediate member for the longitudinal adjustment only in the transverse direction and that for the transverse adjustment is only slidably mounted in the longitudinal direction on the outer housing. Of course there is such a longitudinal and transverse adjustment possibility on each of the two base bodies. It is very sensitive and can be operated with conventional tools, such as a screwdriver, if the rotary member is designed accordingly. Due to this sensitive adjustability, the door can be quickly and precisely aligned with respect to a frame or a body opening or with respect to the wall to which it is hinged.

Further features of the invention are the subject of the remaining dependent claims.

The hinge according to the invention is used to link a door 1 or the like to a wall 2, for example the body wall of a piece of furniture. Both parts can be mitered and are preferably also. The miter plane is designated 3. Is on the two identical basic bodies 4 each articulated at least one short and one long tab. There are preferably three short and three long tabs per base body. The short tabs 5 of the wall-side base body 4 are pivotally mounted on a first axis 6. A second axis 7 is used to support the wall-side long tabs 8. Accordingly, a third axis 9 is used to link the short tab 10 to the door-side base body 4. On the latter, the long links 12 of the door-side base body 4 can be pivoted about a fourth axis 11. A fifth axis 13 connects the tabs 5 and 12, while a sixth axis 14 serves to connect the tabs 10 and 8. Finally, a seventh axis 15 is provided, which connects the central areas of all long tabs to one another. All axes run parallel to each other and perpendicular to the image plane in Fig. 1. It can also be seen from this figure that axes 6, 7, 15 and 13 on the one hand and 9, 11, 15 and 14 on the other hand each mark the corners of a square that one Parallelogram comes close. The dash-dotted representation of FIG. 1 also shows that in the other end position of the hinge the axes mentioned mark the corners of two interconnected quadrilaterals of approximately parallelogram-like shape.

One of the prerequisites for this is the connection of the long tabs in their central region and the approximately double length of each long tab 8, 12 in relation to the short tabs 5, 10. In addition, the distance between the axes 6 and 7 on the base body 4 or 9 and 11 on the other base body 4 approximately the distance between the axes 13 and 15 or 14 and 15. Each long bracket consists of a shorter lever arm 16 and a longer lever arm 17, the shorter lever arm being assigned to the short bracket 5 and 10, respectively . The lengths of the lever arms 16 and 17 preferably behave approximately as 1: 1.15. The articulation points 11, 15, 13 and 7, 15, 14 of the long tabs 8 and 11 do not lie on a straight line, but rather form an angle of preferably approximately 160 °.

In eingebautem Zustand befindet sich die schräge Kante 24 des Montagekörpers 21 in der Gehrungsebene 3.The base body 4 is designed as an inner housing (25) and is adjustable in an outer housing 18 in two mutually perpendicular axes 19 and 20 (FIG. 3). The outer housing 18 is designed as a drilling housing. It essentially consists of a pot-shaped mounting body 21 and a mounting plate 22 attached to the pot rim. For example, from FIG. 3 it can be seen that the width 23 of the mounting plate 22 extends approximately over half the diameter of the mounting body 21, the other half of the mounting body is beveled, as shown in Fig. 1 of the drawing. In the installed state, the inclined edge 24 of the mounting body 21 is in the miter plane 3.

Auch der Montagekörper 26 des Innengehäuses 25 ist unter 45° angeschrägt, wobei die Schräflächen 29 in zusammengebautem Zustand bündig mit der bogenförmigen schrägen Kante 24 des Montagekörpers 21 des Außengehäuses 18 verlaufen.FIG. 4 also shows that the inner housing 25 or the base body 4 essentially has a shape corresponding to the outer housing 18, a mounting body 26 of the inner housing 25 engaging in the mounting body 21 of the outer housing 18. The mounting body 26 of the inner housing 25 is also bevelled at 45 °, the inclined surfaces 29 in the assembled state being flush with the arcuate oblique edge 24 of the mounting body 21 of the outer housing 18.

The inner housing 25 also has a mounting plate 27, which, however, is smaller than the mounting plate 22 of the outer housing 18. From Fig. 3 it can be seen that the mounting plate 27 is embedded in a recess 28 of the mounting plate 22, the recess and the mounting plate 27 so are dimensioned such that a relative movement in the sense of arrows 19 and 20 is possible by the respectively provided maximum amount. On the outside, both plates are preferably approximately flush. The outer housing and the inner housing are each connected to one another by means of two two-part connecting elements 30 and 31. The connecting element 31 is at the same time a sleeve-shaped actuating member and, when the hinge is assembled, it is at least largely in the enlarged bore part 32 of a bearing bore 33, whereby it is supported on a shoulder-shaped shoulder 34.

The connecting element 30 is also a rotary member for the adjustment movement in the sense of the double arrow 19 (FIG. 3). Its bolt-shaped part forms a bearing shaft 35 and it press-fits into the bore 36 of the actuator 31. The latter has two actuating slots 37 and 38 arranged crosswise for inserting a screwdriver. Due to the press fit, the bearing shaft 35 can be rotated via the sleeve-shaped actuating member 31, which leads to the adjustment movement in the sense of the double arrow 19 in the manner to be described below.

The rotary member 30 carries a pinion 39 and immediately thereafter or at a short distance from it a disk-shaped head 40. This is located in a recess 41 on the outside of the pot bottom 42 of the pot-shaped mounting body 21 of the outer housing 18. Each recess 41 has a substantially square shape with rounded corners and, like the opening 43, it is dimensioned such that the adjustment movement 19 and 20 (FIG. 3) can take place without obstructions.

47 der Tür 1 bzw. der Wand 2 gehaltenen Außengehäuse 18.The rotational movement of the actuating member 31 and thus of the pinion 39 is transmitted to the inner housing 25 with respect to the longitudinal movement 19 via an intermediate member 44 and with respect to the transverse movement 20 via an intermediate member 45. the inner housing makes either a longitudinal or transverse movement with respect to the stationary outer housing 18 held in a recess 46 or 47 of the door 1 or the wall 2 when the relevant actuator 31 is rotated.

The first intermediate member 45 for the transverse movement 20 is designed as a slide which can be moved back and forth on the pot bottom 48 of the inner housing 25 in the sense of the double arrow 49 and which, with its H longitudinal webs 50, 53, is in each case one Longitudinal guide 51, 52 is slidably mounted on the outside of the pot bottom of the inner part 25, this guide being recessed so deep that only the sliding block-like extension 54 protrudes beyond the outside of the pot bottom. The approach 54 consists of the two sections 55 and 56, which form a gap for the passage of the second intermediate member 44. The movement of the H crosspiece 57 in the direction of arrow 49 is limited by the two parallel stop edges 58 and 59 formed on the housing.

Sie befindet sich an der Innenseite des Topfbodens 42.A toothed rack 60 is attached to one of the H longitudinal webs, in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 6, on the H longitudinal web 53 in the end region, in particular integrally formed thereon. Their teeth point against the other H-longitudinal web 52. The rack is in the same plane as the sliding block-like extension 54. Their teeth mesh with those of the pinion 39 of their associated rotary member 30. It is easy to see that a rotation of the pinion 39 with the help its rotatably coupled sleeve-shaped actuator 31 leads to a displacement of the rack in the direction of arrow 61 or with opposite rotation in the opposite direction of arrow 61 and thus leads the inner housing 25 downwards (in FIG. 2) or upwards relative to the outer housing 18. 2, the lower final displacement position is shown. The first intermediate member 45 must be held immovably in the outer housing 18 in the sense of the double arrow 20. It can only be moved in the direction of the double arrow 19 in a longitudinal guide 62 of the outer housing 18. It is located on the inside of the pot base 42.

The second intermediate member 44 has an elongated shape (FIG. 5). At one end there is a cranked bearing eye 63 and at the other a gear segment 64. The bearing shaft 35 of the connecting element or rotary member 30 engages through the bearing bore 65. Accordingly, the second intermediate member 44 can be moved in the direction of the double arrow 66 (FIG. 3) swivel around its Lagerweιιe 35.

The teeth of the gear segment 64 mesh with those of the pinion 39 of the associated rotary member 30. Rotation of the sleeve-shaped actuating member 31 in one direction of rotation causes the second intermediate member 44 to pivot in the direction of arrow 66 and an opposite rotational movement has a pivoting of the second intermediate member counter to arrow 66 result, as indicated by Fig. 3 with the corresponding end position. In this way, the relative longitudinal displacement of the inner housing 25 with respect to the outer housing 18 is achieved. However, this is also only possible in that a sliding pin 67 protrudes transversely to the plane of the second intermediate member 44, approximately in the central region, into a slot-shaped transverse guide 68 of the outer housing 18th intervenes. This is also located on the pot bottom 42, namely between the two openings 43 for the two axes of rotation 30. The distance between the two attachment sections 55 and 56 limits the pivoting angle of the second intermediate member 44 and thus the size of the adjustment movement in the sense of the double arrow 19 the cranking of the bearing end of the second intermediate member 44, the bearing eye 63 is in the same plane as the H longitudinal webs 52 and 53, more precisely between the two H longitudinal webs. The majority of the second intermediate link 44 together with the gear segment 64 is located in the plane of the sliding block-like extension 54 or projects through between its two sections.

Spacers 69 and 70 are located between both the short straps 5 and 10 and the long straps 8 and 12, respectively, which can preferably be plastic rings. In addition, a spacer 71 is also attached to one side, which advantageously has the same shape. All three spacers can be made of plastic and in particular can be held together via a connecting web, which makes assembly easier. The long tabs of one base body 4 are set to a gap with respect to those of the other base body. The same applies to the short tabs. The short and long tabs of each body are on the same or three levels. As a result, for example in FIG. 3, the outer or lateral spacer 71 is arranged above the upper long tab 8, while the corresponding spacer of the other base body 4 is located below the lower long tab. The same applies in turn to the short tabs. The fitting is constructed symmetrically to miter level 3. As a result, the exemplary embodiment has six identical short tabs and six identical long tabs. The base body and all parts attached or held thereon are identical. This contributes to cheaper manufacturing.

The drilling patterns on the door side and the wall side are the same. When the door is open, almost nothing protrudes inside, rather the tabs extend in the door extension. When the door is closed, the hinge requires a relatively small space inside. Otherwise, the same closing angle is always maintained regardless of the longitudinal and transverse settings.
