  9. A device according to at least one of claims 1 to 8 characterised in that the housing (8) of the part (24) of the device at the leaf side comprises two at least substantially mirror image-symmetrical housing portions (10, 11), each of which accommodates an intermediate member half (18, 19).
  10. A device according to at least one of claims 3 to 9 characterised in that at its front and rear ends in the direction of displacement (34) each intermediate member half (18, 19) has a coupling half (69, 70) for mounting a drive bar (71, 72) or a drive bar connecting portion (73) with the coupling counterpart half (74, 75), wherein the drive bar connecting portions (73) project outwardly by way of a respective opening (76, 77) in the housing.
  11. A device according to claim 10 characterised in that the coupling half is an in particular rectangular opening (69, 70) on the intermediate member half (18, 19) and the coupling counterpart half (74, 75) is a pin-shaped projection of corresponding cross-section, which projects transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis.
  12. A device according to at least one of claims 1 to 11 characterised in that the rotary handle (6) has a collar (61) with two centering sleeves (62, 63) projecting towards the leaf frame member (14) and provided on the housing (8) of the part (24) of the device at the leaf side at the same spacing are two through bores which each accommodate a respective bush (58, 59) whose cross-section approximately corresponds to that of the centering sleeves (62, 63), which on the one hand bear axially against the associated centering sleeve (62, 63) and which on the other hand project beyond the housing wall (12) that is remote from the handle.
  13. A device according to claim 12 characterised in that the bush (58, 59) is axially limitedly displaceable in the housing (8).
  14. A device according to claim 12 characterised in that the cross-sections of the centering sleeve (62, 63) and the bush (58, 59) are identical and the bush engages with an outer shoulder (64) into a step-like bore enlargement (65, 66) in the housing (8) in such a way that its associated end projects beyond the outside surface of the housing, that is remote from the handle.
  15. A device according to claim 12 characterised in that the outside diameter of the centering sleeve (62, 63) is smaller than that of the bush (58, 59) and the latter with a bore enlargement (68) centeringly accommodates the free end of the centering sleeve (62, 63).
  16. A device according to claim 15 characterised in that the bore enlargement (68) is disposed at an end of the bore in the bush (58, 59) and disposed at a spacing from the other end of the bore is an outer shoulder (64) which engages into the step-like bore enlargement (68) of the device housing (8) in such a way that the associated end of the bush projects beyond the outside surface of the housing, that is remote from the handle.
  17. A device according to at least one of claims 3 to 16 characterised in that fitted on to the surface of the rotary member (20), that is remote from the handle, is a cam-like projection (52) which with an abutment member (55) at the inside surface of the associated intermediate member half (18) forms a rotation-limiting device when the bolt (23) is in the forwardly closed position or in the closed position of the window or door fitting.
  18. A device according to at least one of claims 1 to 17 characterised in that the part of the device (25) at the fixed frame side comprises a base plate (80) with fixing bores (81), which can be fitted to the fixed frame (1), and a hood-like attachment (82) which is open towards the bolt (23).
  19. A device according to claim 18 characterised in that the part of the device (25), which is on the fixed frame side, is of a symmetrical configuration relative to a transverse central plane.
  20. A device according to at least one of claims 1 to 19 characterised in that connected between the supplementary locking device (7) and at least one further supplementary locking device (7), in particular of the same kind, is a motion- and force-transmitting device (71, 72, 130), the ends of which are respectively connected to the associated intermediate member (18, 19).
  21. A device according to claim 20 characterised in that the force-transmitting device has a corner-negotiating diversion means (130).
  22. A supplementary locking device for a window, a door or the like having an at least turnable leaf (2), in particular a turn-and-tilt leaf, with a rotary handle (6) for actuating a window or door fitting which can be switched over, wherein a shaft (21) of the windor or door fitting, which is rotatable by means of the rotary handle, is at the same time drivingly connected to a drive device (22) of the part (24) of the supplementary locking device which is at the leaf side for the bolt (23) of the supplementary locking device (7a), which co-operates with a part (25) of the supplementary locking device which is at the fixed frame side and which is fitted at the inside on to the fixed frame (1) and which has a bolt receiving means (29), wherein the part (24) of the supplementary locking device at the leaf side is fitted at the inside on to the leaf frame (1), characterised in that the drive device has a rotary member (86) which can be coupled to the rotatable shaft (21) and which is mounted in a device housing (88) and on which there is eccentrically mounted at least one coupling projection (93, 94) which projects parallel to the rotatable shaft (21) and which with a sliding guide (96) of the bolt (87) mounted displaceably in the device housing (88) forms a motion-conversion device (97), wherein the coupling projection (93, 94) engages into the sliding guide (96) over a rotary angle of the rotary handle (6), that exceeds 90°.
  23. A device according to claim 22 characterised in that the rotary member (86) substantially comprises a sleeve (102) rotatably supported at both ends in the device housing (88), with a quadrangular bore (103) and a cam (104) arranged eccentrically thereon with the at least one coupling projection (93, 94) and the sliding guide (96) comprises a slot in the bolt (87), which slot is slightly arcuate or straight and extends inclinedly with respect to the bolt displacement direction (99).
  24. A device according to claim 23 characterised in that the bolt (87) is of a forked configuration at its inner end and an open-ended longitudinal slot (110) between the two prongs (108, 109) of the fork receives the sleeve (102) of the rotary member (86) and that the sliding guide (96) is on the one prong (108) of the fork.
  25. A device according to claim 24 characterised in that a sliding guide extension (101) which in particular is in the form of a circular arc is provided on the other prong (109) of the fork and two coupling projections (93, 94) which are arranged at an angular spacing are disposed on the rotary member (86), wherein the longer first coupling projection (94) engages into the sliding guide (96) during a first quarter turn with the bolt (87) forwardly closed and withdrawn, while during a second quarter turn the second coupling projection (92) engages into the sliding guide extension (101) to the extent to which the first projection (94) comes out of the sliding guide (96).
  26. A device according to claim 25 characterised in that at the end of the second quarter turn of the rotary member (86) the first coupling projection (93) passes into the sliding guide extension (96) which over that region is of a greater depth for the longer first coupling projection (93).
  27. A device according to at least one of claims 23 to 26 characterised in that in the range of movement of the rotary member cam (104) the bolt (87) is of smaller thickness and the outside cam surface extends approximately flush with the outside surface (115) of the bolt.
  28. A device according to claim 27 characterised in that the reduction in thickness (114) of the bolt (87) forms at least one abutment edge (116) for the cam (104) of the rotary member (86), against which it bears in the 180° rotary position of the handle (6).
  29. A device according to at least one of claims 22 to 28 characterised in that the device housing (88) comprises two housing halves (90, 91) which are at least approximately in mirror-image symmetrical relationship and respective halves of the bolt guide means (117) are formed in the housing halves.
  30. A device according to at least one of claims 22 to 29 characterised in that the part of the device (25) at the fixed frame side comprises a base plate (80) with fixing bores (81), which can be fitted to the fixed frame (1), and a hood-like attachment (82) which is open towards the bolt (23).
  31. A device according to at least one of claims 22 to 30 characterised in that the part of the device (25), which is on the fixed frame side, is of a symmetrical configuration relative to a transverse cnetral plane.
  32. A device according to at least one of claims 22 or 24 to 26 or 29 to 31 characterised in that the rotary member (120) is a circular disc and at its end facing towards the leaf (2) the rotary handle (6) has a sleeve-shaped projection (121) with a quadrangular bore, which projects beyond the rotary member (120) fitted thereon, prior to the riveting operation, the projecting end of the projection forming a hollow rivet.
  33. A device according to claim 32 characterised in that the hollow rivet (21) is of a quadrangular cross-section and the rotary member (120) has a quadrangular bore (122).
