Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical connection device with a socket part and a plug part according to the preamble of claim 1 (DE-B1-22 63 144).
- the plug-on forces can add up in such a way that the connection is very difficult to make by hand. This is particularly true when the electrical connection device is also supposed to be splash-proof or even waterproof; because then additional sealing means are to be arranged between the two connector parts, which make it difficult to join the connector parts if they are to fulfill their sealing function.
- the invention has for its object to provide a multi-pole electrical connection device in which the push-fit forces to be applied by hand are low and the assembly is carried out quickly and safely.
- an electrical connection device with the features of claim 1 is proposed.
- Advantageous embodiments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.
- An electrical connection device requires only small manual forces to establish and release the connection, since a screw drive (spindle drive) is placed between the connector parts, by means of which relatively small, manually applied rotational forces are sufficient to overcome contact and possibly sealing forces.
- a comfortable handling of the connecting device is thus achieved while ensuring a good mechanical and electrical connection of the two connector parts.
- the space requirement is low.
- a clear and stable assignment of the housing parts is achieved, which leads to a quick and safe assembly, without the connector parts losing their assignment suitable for connection due to external vibrations or other influences.
- Figure 1 shows a connector housing of the electrical connection device for ten sockets before sliding a seal.
- FIG. 2 shows the plug part housing with the seal pushed on before it is inserted into a sleeve.
- FIG. 3 shows the sleeve according to FIG. 2, with the plug-in part housing inserted and fixed by means of a snap fit, before the insertion of the sockets struck on the lines.
- FIG. 4 shows the socket part housing, which is intended to accommodate the plug part housing, with plug contacts attached to lines before insertion and before locking by means of a comb inserted on the side.
- FIG. 5 shows the connecting device before the plug part is connected to the socket part, which is done by placing and rotating the sleeve on the plug part housing, but without plug contacts in the socket part and without lines in the plug part.
- FIG. 6 shows the connecting device in an end view from the line side of the plug part, after the sleeve has been placed on the socket part housing, without contacts.
- FIG. 7 shows the view according to FIG. 6 after the sleeve has been rotated by 90 ° .
- Figure 8 shows the connection device partially broken away in side view, after placing the sleeve on the connector housing and without contacts.
- FIG. 9 shows the side view according to FIG. 8 after the sleeve has been rotated through 90 ° .
- FIG. 10 shows the section X-X in FIG. 6.
- FIG. 11 shows the section XI-XI in FIG. 7.
- FIG. 12 shows a second embodiment of the connecting device, in which the plug part housing is shown with the seal pushed on before it is inserted into a sleeve, corresponding to FIG. 2.
- FIG. 13 shows the connecting device according to FIG. 12, corresponding to FIG. 5, with the socket part.
- FIG. 14 shows the connecting device according to FIG. 13 before the release process begins.
- FIG. 15 shows the connecting device according to FIG. 13, corresponding to FIG. 8.
- FIG. 16 shows the connecting device according to FIG. 15 after the sleeve has been rotated through 90 ° .
- FIG. 17 shows the connecting device in an end view seen from the line side of the plug part, corresponding to FIG. 6.
- FIG. 18 shows the connecting device during the release process, the mechanics of which are indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 16.
- the plug part housing 1 of the connecting device is injection molded from plastic and has a front part 2, from which ten through openings 3 emerge which are suitable for receiving plug sockets.
- the front part 2 has recesses 4 which serve for the unmistakable introduction of the socket part housing described below.
- the front part 2 is followed by a circumferential, annular sealing surface 5, which is delimited by a corresponding collar 6.
- the sealing surface 5 and the collar 6 serve to receive and support a sealing ring 7.
- the connector housing 1 further comprises a rear round part 8, on which two diametrically arranged, part-circular grooves 9 are arranged, which are limited by a stop 10.
- a ramp 11 is part of the snap connection described below.
- two axial ribs 12 and 13 are arranged, which delimit a groove 14 and are part of a friction lock described below.
- the edges 15 and 17 are used for guidance in the sleeve described below. Their function, like that of the holes 18, is described below.
- the parts 9 to 17 are in the same arrangement on the opposite, diametrical Side of the rear part 8 present, not visible in Figures 1 and 2, but can be seen in Figures 6 and 7.
- the plug part housing 1 is intended to be received in a sleeve 19, see FIG. 2.
- two lugs 21 are arranged on the inner peripheral surface 20 of the sleeve 19, which engage in the grooves 9 after axial passage of the ramp 11 and a snap connection with the surface 9a manufacture, see also FIG. 10.
- two diametrical, part-circular collars 22 are formed in the surface 20, between which the parts labeled 9 to 17 can be inserted axially, compare FIG. 6.
- the sleeve 19 has at the front section 20a of the inner circumferential surface 20 two diametrically arranged helically extending surfaces 24 which, together with two cams 25, form helical guide grooves 26. Also at the front, a one-armed lever 27, which serves as a latching arm and is provided with a latching ramp 28, is injection molded approximately tangentially on the outer circumference. Furthermore, axial ribs 19a are arranged on the outer circumference, which increase the grip of the sleeve 19.
- sockets 29 are inserted, which are attached to a line 30 and one of which is shown. There is a seal 31 on the line end.
- the sockets 29 are locked in the openings 3, for. B. by a barb 32 on the sockets 29, or in addition, as explained below.
- the openings 3 are closed towards the rear, to the line 30, by the seals 31, compare FIG. 3.
- the plug part housing 1 and the inserted contacts 29 result in the plug part 33 of the connecting device, see FIG. 5.
- the socket part 34 serves to receive the plug part 33 and consists of the socket part housing 35 with axially continuous openings 36, into which contact pins 37 are pushed, which are attached to a line 38.
- a seal 39 provides the seal.
- the inserted plug contacts 37 are locked in the openings 36.
- a comb 41 is inserted through radial openings 40 at the rear line-side end of the socket part housing 36, which engages behind the seals 39 and forms a second lock of the plug contacts 37, see in particular FIG. 4.
- the second lock which is also on the plug part housing 1 already described above may be present, however, is not the subject of the invention and is omitted from the following drawings.
- the socket part housing 35 made of plastic has at the plug end an annular cylindrical projection 42, on the outer surface 43 of which two diametrically arranged helical ribs 44 extend.
- the ribs 44 merge into a collar 46 via a stop 45.
- the inside of the extension 42 has projections 42a.
- Two diametrically arranged stops 47 are formed on the collar 46 and end with a locking lug 48, the function of which will be described below.
- the socket part housing 35 is provided with axial ribs 50, which increase the grip of the socket part housing 35.
- a few projections 42a extend for the unmistakable guidance of the front part 2 of the plug part housing 1 serve, and prevent the plug part 33 from rotating with the socket part 24.
- 42b denotes an inner sealing surface.
- the connecting device is explained in particular with reference to FIGS. 6 to 11.
- the sleeve 19 is pushed onto the extension 42 of the socket part housing 35 by hand.
- the connector part housing 1 is forcibly assigned to the socket part housing 35 correctly, since the projections 42a engage laterally next to the front part 2 and in its recesses 4, see FIG Grooves 26 and the electrical contact is still broken, see Figures 8 and 10.
- the two parts, sleeve 19 and socket part 34 are turned clockwise with respect to one another, the non-slip ribs 19a and 50, FIGS. 8 and 9 being very helpful.
- the socket part 34 is held and the sleeve 19 rotated about 90 o .
- the friction lock 12 and 23 is released. After this slight rotation there is a kind of pre-locking.
- the cams 25 of the sleeve 19 slide along the ribs 44 of the socket part housing 35 until the ribs 44 rest against the stops 45.
- the sockets 29 slide over the plug contacts 37.
- the sealing ring 7 comes into contact with the sealing surface 42b of the shoulder 42 and aligns the two housing parts 1 and 35 against one another.
- the locking ramp 28 of the sleeve 19 slides over one of the locking lugs 48 of the socket part housing 35 until this locking lug 48 locks behind the locking ramp 28 and prevents further rotation or turning back.
- the electrical and mechanical connection is now secured, see Figures 7 and 11.
- a triple or even quadruple arrangement is also possible.
- the shape of the electrical contacts is arbitrary, except for plug contacts, there are others, e.g. B. pressure contacts can be used.
- the screw drive can also be more or less than 90 o .
- the arrangement of a single locking arm 48 is also sufficient if only a single assignment of the parts 33, 34 and 19 is secured.
- a separate T-shaped locking element 51 is intended to be received on a sleeve 52.
- the locking member consists of a middle finger 53 which extends axially into the sleeve 52 and a grooved handle 54 in the form of a button which comes to rest against a stop 55 of the sleeve 52.
- a locking nose is designated.
- two elastic arms 56 adjoin the fingers 53, which after being pushed in or pushed into the sleeve 52 or onto the stop 55, latch behind latching lugs 57, see FIG. 13.
- the locking element 51 is axially resilient can be moved by hand for a short distance. After the locking element 51 has been pushed on, the plug part 71 can be inserted, see FIGS. 12 and 13.
- the ribs 58 merge into a stop 59 and into a collar 60.
- a recess 61 is only provided on one rib 58, shortly before the stop 59.
- the locking member is first moved 51 when compressed, so that the locking mechanism 54a and 55 is solved.
- the handle 54 is then pushed back, FIG. 18, so that the recess 61 releases the locking end 53, see FIG. 16.
- the locking element 51 simultaneously ensures that only one possible assignment of all housing parts and therefore facilitates or accelerates the connection or release process.
- the spring action generated by the flexible arms 56 of the locking element 51 can also be ensured in another way.
- the locking member 51 can also be additionally secured against loosening. In embodiment two, this is ensured by the hook-shaped design of the spring ends.
- a stop for the element 51 on the plug part 71 can also be provided.
