Description

The invention relates to a device for washing running woven and knitted fabrics, in particular for solution washing.

(GB-A-2 091 767)In the washing of running material webs, the procedure has so far usually been such that the material web is passed through the treatment liquid, where it is soaked up or also superficially loaded and then fed to a squeezer, where the main part of the treatment liquid is then is removed from and out of the material web again, whereupon a renewed soaking and removal of the treatment liquid takes place until the desired washing result is finally achieved after repeated repetition of this process. (GB-A-2 091 767)

This method has the disadvantage that a very large number of impregnation and dewatering processes are required, since in the known devices the times for concentration equalization between the newly added treatment liquid and the liquid in and on the product are too short to completely compensate for the successive treatments to achieve, which has the consequence that a very large number of treatment steps must follow one another with the corresponding equipment. Added to this is the fact that the heavy squeezing units generally used for this purpose are construction, drive and expensive and that the individual washing units usually contain large bath volumes.

The present invention is intended to avoid these disadvantages and to provide a washing machine which is simple and light in construction, and which achieves a great washing effect with simple and effective means and which also achieves a reduction in the use of treatment liquid compared to the known methods and devices becomes.

To achieve this object, according to the invention, the housing (10) is proposed in a device of the type mentioned at the beginning, in a housing which is closed except for an inlet and outlet opening for the material web, through which the material web is essentially guided in vertical loops via deflection rollers To carry out treatment sections in which the webs (13) are guided obliquely on short sections (16), in which nozzle bodies (18) connected above the webs to the pressure side of liquid pumps (17) are pressed into the webs by the treatment liquid and on which the webs lie against from below, are arranged and that below the nozzle body on the underside of the webs, the nozzle bodies opposite collecting bodies (19) with discharge pipes (20) for the discharge of the treatment liquid squeezed out of the webs are arranged in collecting containers (25) to which the treatment liquid is again fed to the nozzle bodies (18), fresh treatment liquid being fed from the housing to the last nozzle body on the outlet side of the material webs, and used treatment liquid being fed to a preceding nozzle body.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the nozzle bodies are to be sunk into the horizontal web run between two deflection rollers to form flat containers through the web. The sliding surfaces for the web of material on the nozzle bodies should be provided with a Teflon coating in order to ensure that the web slides well on the nozzle bodies.

The spray width of the nozzle body should be adjustable in order to allow the device to be easily adapted to different web widths.

The housing should be designed as an air-free steam space with deep inlet and outlet openings for the web and should advantageously be divided into treatment sections. An end squeezing mechanism for the web can be provided behind the housing, from which the treatment liquid squeezed out of the web is returned to the treatment liquid discharged from the last section and mixed with it. Additional light squeeze or separation rollers can also be attached to the deflection rollers in front of the horizontal web run.

In addition, lint spray nozzles can be provided in the housing on both sides of the web before the first washing treatment for pre-cleaning the web.

The pressure lines of the pumps for supplying the treatment liquid to the nozzle bodies are to be connected to heating devices, the collecting tanks of the pumps for the treatment liquid are to be arranged above the pumps and finally the liquid surfaces in the collecting tanks are preferably to be covered by floating balls.

Based on the accompanying drawing, on which an embodiment of the invention is shown, this will be explained in more detail below.

In the drawing, the housing 10 in which the treatment of the web 13 is carried out is only indicated by dashed lines. The material web 13 enters through the inlet opening 11 at the lower part of the housing 10 and, as can be seen, via the upper and lower deflection rollers 14 and 15 substantially in vertical web loops for treatment through the housing and leaves this after treatment through the outlet opening 12, which, like the inlet opening, is also directed downwards. In the deflection rollers, the rollers 14 are stored without a drive and in the housing and are lubricated with water. The rollers 15 are connected to a drive. The shaft bushings are sealed with sleeves or sliding sealing washers. These rollers are mounted on the outside of the housing in pillow blocks on supports. Pendulum rollers 28 are provided between the individual treatment sections to compensate for tensions in the web.

Various areas can be seen in the illustration, in which the material web is essentially guided approximately horizontally. These areas of horizontal web guides, in which the actual washing treatment takes place, are marked with 16. As can be seen, a nozzle body 18 is sunk into the web run in these areas, in such a way that the web forms a flat container there and bears against the lower part of the nozzle housing 18. Treatment liquid is now pressed into the warning path through the nozzle housing. This liquid drives the liquid in the web in front of it, which then emerges from the underside of the web and is collected by a collecting trough or collecting body 19 arranged there and is discharged via a pipe into a collecting container 25. It can easily be seen that a liquid exchange with the smallest amounts of liquid is possible in this way.

The collected treatment liquid is sucked out of the container 25 by the pump 17 and fed to the nozzle body 18 via its pressure line 24. Heating devices 26 connected to the pressure line 24 are used to reheat the treatment liquid. As can be seen from the illustration, the treatment liquid is guided through the device in countercurrent to the direction of travel of the web, i.e. fresh treatment liquid is continuously supplied at the end of the treatment and used treatment liquid is discharged from the first treatment section in an appropriate amount. The bypass line 29 shows that, if necessary, a section of the treatment liquid can also be skipped, depending on the desired treatment effect.
