Definitions

  • the invention relates to an office table, in particular for computer peripheral devices, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such an office table is known from BE-A-882 441. Its table top is fastened between cross beams that are attached to the upper ends of the columns. Such an office table is very stable, but there is no adjustability of the table top, as is required for ergonomic reasons, especially for office tables that are intended for the use of computer peripheral devices.
  • office desks are also known in a wide variety of embodiments, which allow adaptation to the type of use and user.
  • an office table is described and shown in DE-C2-32 07 177. It fulfills all requirements with regard to high stability and the possibility of adaptation to different working conditions thanks to a table top that is adjustable in height and inclination.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of designing an office table of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that it can be optimally adapted to many uses, either by modifications made by the manufacturer or by measures which the user can take himself.
  • the office table according to the invention therefore does not consist of a uniform frame with an adapted table top, but is constructed from several parts which are detachably connected to one another and by the exchange of which the most varied table configurations can be created.
  • symmetrical or asymmetrical table structures can be created.
  • symmetrical table structures are of particular importance, that is to say an office table in which the feet are arranged essentially symmetrically with respect to the columns and the longitudinal beam is provided with support arms on its two outer sides.
  • this embodiment of the invention offers the possibility of providing the table on both sides with table tops of different design and / or structure in order to optimally adapt to specific applications to find.
  • a table top can also be attached on one side, while any additional devices are attached on the other side of the side member.
  • the support arms can be arranged at different heights, so that the table has sections of the table top at different heights, as is expedient for many computer peripheral devices.
  • the longitudinal beam has hooks at its ends, which engage in corresponding recesses on the columns.
  • This embodiment has the particular advantage that not only is the manufacture of a particular table type particularly simple, but that the customer himself also has the option of changing the table structure when restructuring his office by exchanging longitudinal members or side parts and thereby new purposes optimally adapt.
  • Such a possibility is particularly important if, in a further embodiment of the invention, such a table has more than two columns and the longitudinal beams connecting the columns are arranged in a straight line and / or at an angle to one another. It is then very easy to change the structure of such a table, which consists of a large number of side parts and longitudinal struts, and thus to adapt well to new conditions.
  • the longitudinal beam is designed as a vertically arranged frame which is provided with connecting links near its upper and lower edge.
  • the use of such a vertically arranged frame results in a structure of very high stability, because the connecting elements act on the pillars at a great distance and therefore form a large support base.
  • the use of a frame offers the possibility of using vertical webs in the frame for attaching additional devices, in particular baskets for continuous forms.
  • the design of such an office table can be varied in a particularly varied manner if the vertical bars of the frame and / or the webs inserted into the frame have a number of longitudinal slots, preferably arranged at the same distance from one another, for hanging in supporting arms and additional devices provided with corresponding hooks .
  • the connecting elements are arranged essentially on a vertical line so that the columns do not have to have a large horizontal extent.
  • the columns have a circular cross section and have annular grooves which extend over their circumference and are open in the axial direction and into which hooks attached to the ends of the frame engage.
  • Columns with a circular cross-section can not only be produced easily and at low cost from the corresponding tubular material, but also have the further advantage that they have no excellent directions for connecting longitudinal members. It is therefore easily possible to hang several longitudinal beams in the annular grooves, which can enclose almost any angle with one another, and in particular such columns can be used as nodes of star-shaped table arrangements.
  • the annular grooves can be formed in a simple manner by sleeves placed on the column, the lower of which is open at the top and the upper is open at the bottom.
  • the vertical bars of the frames then expediently have longitudinal slots which are open towards their ends and which delimit hook-like sections of the vertical bars which engage in the sleeves.
  • the columns are separated in the area of the annular groove, and their sections are connected to one another by an insert piece which has an annular recess.
  • One column section is flush with the one flank of the ring-shaped recess, while the other column section protrudes beyond the other flank of the recess, but ends at a distance from the end of the one column section.
  • the groove is thus formed by the interior of one column section and the adjacent section of the recess in the insert. This groove is accessible through the slot which is located between the two column sections arranged at a distance from one another.
  • the insert consists of two parts which are symmetrical to one another and abut one another in the central plane of the annular groove and which are fastened in the respective column sections and connected to one another by a central screw bolt.
  • the vertical spars of the frames can advantageously each be formed by a profile having openings on its side adjacent to the column, into which connecting pieces with a protruding, hook-shaped attachment are inserted.
  • the longitudinal beam is designed as a box-shaped hollow body which is provided with connecting members on its two vertical wall sections.
  • a side member in the form of such a box-shaped hollow body is of particular interest when an office table is required which has a cable duct extending over its length, because such a hollow body can be used very well as a cable duct.
  • the longitudinal beam can advantageously be provided with a longitudinal slot arranged on its upper or lower side, optionally provided with a cover.
  • the columns have an elongated cross section in a plane perpendicular to the side member and at least have on the side facing the side member two parallel rows of longitudinal slots arranged at the same distance from one another, into which hooks attached at the ends of the side member engage.
  • This embodiment of the invention has the advantage that connecting links designed as hooks can be attached to the side member both with lateral spacing and with height spacing and can be hung in the longitudinal slots of the columns. A very high stability of the table frame can then also be achieved in this way.
  • the attachment of a large number of longitudinal slots in rows permits the attachment of the side member to the columns at any height.
  • a special protection against such unintentional loosening can be achieved in a simple manner be arranged in which, in addition to at least one of the hooks, a bolt which is displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal member and preferably spring-loaded in the direction of the end of the longitudinal member, engages over the associated hook in the same longitudinal slot of the column as the hook itself and thereby lifting the Prevents hook. Nevertheless, after pulling back the latch, the connection can be released at any time and without any damage to the components connected to one another.
  • the hooks and optionally the bolts are attached to an insert inserted into the ends of a hollow profile forming the longitudinal member.
  • an insert inserted into the hollow profile also offers the possibility of bracing the longitudinal beam against the column by the insert being arranged displaceably in the hollow profile and being adjustable in the direction of the interior of the hollow profile by means of an eccentric. If the insert is connected to the column by its hooks, the end of the hollow profile is moved against the column by the displacement of the insert into the interior of the hollow profile and is thereby braced against the column. In this way, a table frame with extremely high stability and resilience can be realized.
  • the eccentric is formed by a rod which is rotatably mounted eccentrically in use and which engages with stops fitted in the hollow profile.
  • a rod is easily accessible for twisting through slots or openings in the hollow profile and has a high stability, so that large clamping forces can be applied here.
  • such a rod could be designed in such a way that it can be installed in the hollow profile even after the insert has been inserted into the insert, so that the stops available for interaction with the rod do not interfere with the insertion of the insert.
  • Columns that have an elongated cross section can be made in a particularly advantageous manner from two hollow profiles with a substantially rectangular cross section, on the mutually facing narrow sides of which open U-rails are attached, in the legs of which the elongated slots are located, and one connecting the hollow profiles to one another
  • the outer profiles with an essentially rectangular cross-section can on the one hand accommodate elements for connecting sections of the column to one another and of column sections with the foot, and can also partially serve as cable channels.
  • the use of a central web for connecting the outer profiles has the advantage that the outer profiles can both be of the same design and can have a smaller cross section, which is of great importance for economical production.
  • a particularly stable structure is achieved in connection with the middle web, which is again very simple to manufacture.
  • the central web can consist of two sheet metal profiles arranged symmetrically to the connecting plane between the two hollow profiles, the edges of which are angled outwards and form the U profiles encompassing the U rails.
  • the table tops can rest on the support arms and be fastened to them in the usual manner, for example with screws penetrating the support arms from below and screwed into the table top.
  • table tops of different embodiments can be supplied with support arms attached to them, if the side members are provided with devices for releasably fastening the support arms, for example again with slots, into which arms attached to the ends of the support arms can be hung.
  • a secure connection between table top and support arm is particularly achieved by the table top lying on the support arms.
  • a securing of the table top by means of which a detachable connection is made at the same time, can then be achieved by means of bolts arranged on the underside of the table top and engaging in recesses in the support arms.
  • Such latches can in particular be pivotally mounted on a support frame arranged on the underside of the table top, between the support arms and engage in the locking position with their ends in recesses on the mutually facing sides of the support arms such that they interact with a flank of the recess Define the position of the table top in relation to the table frame.
  • At least one of the side parts can be extended beyond the height of the table top by means of an adapted extension piece.
  • Such an extension piece can in turn be provided with one or more support arms for additional table top elements and / or with fastening means for additional devices.
  • at least one of the side parts on its outside facing away from the longitudinal member can be provided with at least one support arm, preferably designed in the manner of a shortened longitudinal member, for an additional table top element and / or with fastening means for additional devices.
  • both the annular grooves on the column which is circular in cross section, and the parallel one len rows of longitudinal slots, which are also on the outside of the columns in the described symmetrical structure of the column, the possibility of connecting several longitudinal beams to one column and thereby creating complicated table structures of all kinds.
  • the frame of an office table illustrated in FIG. 1 comprises three columns 1 to 3, each provided with feet 4 to 6 and connected to one another in pairs by frame-shaped longitudinal beams 8 and 9.
  • the feet 4 to 6 are substantially perpendicular to the plane defined by the frame-shaped longitudinal beams 8, 9.
  • the feet 4 and 6 attached to the outer columns 1 and 3 extend on both sides of this level, while the middle foot 5 is only arranged on one side of this level.
  • the design and arrangement of the feet can depend on the load that results from the intended use of the office table.
  • the columns 1 to 3 are formed by tubes of circular cross section, which are inserted into corresponding sleeves 10 of the feet and fastened therein.
  • the frame-shaped longitudinal beams 8 and 9 are detachably connected to the associated columns 1 and 2 or 2 and 3 by form-fitting interlocking connecting links.
  • the vertical bars 11 are provided with a number of longitudinal slots 12 arranged at the same distance from one another.
  • the longitudinal slots provided at the ends of the spars 11 are open towards the end of the spars, so that they each delimit a hook-like section 13 of the spar. With these hook-like sections, the vertical spars 11 engage in annular grooves 14, which are each formed by sleeves 15 and 16 placed on the column. 2, the lower sleeve 15 sits on the sleeve 10 of the foot and is open at the top.
  • the hook-like section 13 at the lower end of the vertical spar 11 of the frame-shaped side member 8 engages in the annular groove 14 formed in this way.
  • a sleeve 16 which is placed on the column 1 and is open at the bottom, engages over the hook-shaped section 13 at the upper end of the vertical spar 11.
  • This sleeve 16 is held by a plastic sleeve 17, which is pushed over the sleeve 16 onto the column 1 and is locked with warts 18 in corresponding holes in column 1.
  • This sleeve 17 can consist of a material that can be deformed to a limited extent, which also exerts a pressure in the axial direction on the sleeve 16 and thereby ensures a play-free positive fit between the sleeves 15, 16 and the hook-like sections 13 on the vertical spar 11 of the frame-shaped longitudinal member 8.
  • a cap 19 placed over the cuff 17 holds the cuff 17 in place and also ensures that the column 1 is sealed off at the top.
  • Supporting arms are used to support table top elements and extend transversely to the longitudinal beams 8, 9. There are different ways to attach such support arms.
  • support arms 20 are attached directly to the upper longitudinal spar of the frame-shaped longitudinal member 9, for example welded.
  • Other support arms 21, on the other hand, are provided on their underside with support arms 22 which have hooks on their edges facing the frame-shaped longitudinal member 8, by means of which they are hooked into the longitudinal slots 12 of the vertical bars of these longitudinal members.
  • the frame-shaped design of the longitudinal beams 9 not only results in a high stability of the table frame because the connection between the longitudinal beams and the column takes place at widely spaced locations, but it also allows the frame-shaped longitudinal beams to be used with vertical webs 22, which are similar to the vertical bars 11 of the frame-shaped longitudinal members are provided with longitudinal slots 23, which enable the attachment of support arms and additional devices.

  • Both parts 35, 36 consist of a cylindrical body, which is followed by a section 37 of reduced diameter.
  • the parts 35, 36 are fastened in the column sections 31, 32 in such a way that the sections 37 of reduced diameter face the ends of the column sections.
