Claims (16)

1. Un composé squarium de formule générale I ci-dessous:

dans laquelle X représente un atome d'halogène ou un groupe nitro, cyano, formyle, acyle, carboxyle ou alcoxycarbonyle, n un entier de 0 à 5 et R un atome d'hydrogène ou le groupe méthyle.
2. Un composé squarium de la revendication 1, de formule générale ci-dessous:

dans laquelle X' représente un atome de fluor ou de chlore et Y un atome d'hydrogène ou de fluor.
3. Un procédé de production d'un composé squarium de formule générale:

dans laquelle X, n et R ont la même signification que ci-dessus, procédé selon lequel on fait réagir une 3,4-dihydroxy-3-cyclobutène-1,2 dione de formule:

4. Un photorécepteur électrophotographique comprenant un support électroconducteur et une couche photosensible qui comprend un composé squarium de formule:

dans laquelle X représente un atome d'halogène ou un groupe nitro, cyano, formyle, acyle, carboxyle ou alcoxycarbonyle, n un entier de 0 à 5 et R un atome d'hydrogène ou le groupe méthyle.
5. Le photorécepteur de la revendication 4 dans lequel la couche photosensible comprend une couche de transport de charges et une couche de production de charges contenant ce composé squarium.
6. Le photorécepteur de la revendication 5 dans lequel la couche de transport de charges comprend un polymère photoconducteur choisi parmi un poly-(vinyldibenzothiophène), un poly-(vinylpyrène), un poly-(vinylanthracène) et un poly-(vinylcarbazole).
7. Le photorécepteur de la revendication 5 dans lequel la couche de transport de charges comprend de la triallylpyrazoline, du triphénylméthane, de l'oxadiazole, de la tétraphénylbenzidine ou de la trinitro- fluorénone avec une résine comme liant.
8. Le photorécepteur de la revendication 5 dans lequel la couche de production de charges est essentiellement formée du composé squarium.
9. Le photorécepteur de la revendication 5 dans lequel la couche de production de charges comprend le composé squarium dans une proportion d'environ 10 à 90% en poids par rapport au poids de cette couche.
10. Le photorécepteur de la revendication 9 dans lequel la proportion du composé squarium est d'environ 10 à 50% du poids de la couche de production de charges.
11. Le photorécepteur de la revendication 5 dans lequel la couche de production de charges a une épaisseur d'environ 0,1 à 3 microns.
12. Le photorécepteur de la revendication 11 dans lequel le rapport de l'épaisseur de la couche de production de charges à l'épaisseur de la couche de transport de charges est compris entre environ 1/2 et 1/200.
13. Le photorécepteur de la revendication 5 dans lequel la couche de production de charges est disposée entre le support et la couche de transport de charges.
14. Le photorécepteur de la revendication 7 dans lequel la couche de transport de charges est disposée entre le support et la couche de production de charges.
15. Le photorécepteur de la revendication 4 dans lequel la couche photosensible comprend une couche contenant le composé squarium et une matière de transport de charges.
16. Le photorécepteur de la revendication 5 dans lequel le composé squarium est dispersé en particules dans la couche de production de charges.
