Dazu wird eine fließfähige und aushärtbare Masse in den Spalt gefüllt, nachdem zuvor dieser durch ein Flächenstück, z.B. eine Platte, mittels eines Druckstücks abgedeckt wurde (Patentanmeldung P 33 08 807.1). Im Bereich der Plattenenden entsteht dadurch zwar eine durchgehende gleichmäßige Oberfläche ohne Erhebungen und Vertiefungen; eine exakte Fortführung der Formzylinderoberfläche ist jedoch nicht gewährleistet. Vorrichtung zum Verschließen des Spaltes zwischen den Enden einer .auf einen Formzylinder aufgespannten Tiefdruckplatte, mit einer den Spalt (5) abdeckenden Platte (7) und Einrichtungen zum Füllen des Spalthohlraums mit plastischem und aushärtbarem Material, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zum exakten Positionieren der Platte (7) in Bezug auf den Spalt (5) für diese eine im Spaltbereich schwenkbare Halterung vorgesehen ist, bestehend aus einem auf der Achse (12) des Formzylinders (1) schwenkbar gelagerten und feststellbaren Führungsschienenpaar (11) mit zur Achse radial verlaufenden Führungen zur Aufnahme einer Halteleiste (8), an deren Unterseite die Platte elastisch befestigt ist und die von Hand oder mittels eines Antriebs (10) auf den Formzylinder zufahrbar ist, und für die Halterung eine auf den Spalt ausrichtbare Zentriereinrichtung (17) vorgesehen ist.1. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch qekennzeichnet, daß die Zentriereinrichtung aus einem ebenfalls auf der Achse (12) des Formzylinders (1) unmittelbar neben dem Führungsschienenpaar (11) schwenkbar gelagerten und feststellbaren Zentrierschienenpaar (19) mit ebenso zur Achse radial verlaufenden Führungen (20) besteht, in denen eine zum Spalt (5) keilförmige Zentrierleiste (21) unter ihrem Eigengewicht oder mittels Federkraft in den Spalt, dabei das Schienenpaar (19) auf den Spaltmittenradius einstellend, verschiebbar ist, und das danach festzustellende Zentrierschienenpaar und das darüber zu schwenkende Führungsschienenpaar über deckungsgleich angebrachte Bohrungen (24) durch jeweils einen Stift (25) zur zentralen Positionierung des Führungsschienenpaares miteinander fixierbar und danach durch Entfernen des Stiftes zum Zurückschwenken des Zentrierschienenpaares wieder voneinander lösbar sind.5.
