Zur Aufnahme der Spannmittel dient ein Zylinderkanal 3, der sich über die Länge des Zylinderkörpers des Plattenzylinders 1 erstreckt. Das vorlaufende Plattenende 4 und das nachlaufende Plattenende 5 sind in einer Biegevorrichtung passerhaltig abgewinkelt. Das vorlaufende Plattenende 4 wird zum Spannen an einer Spannschiene 6 eingehängt und von einer Feder 7 gehalten. Zur exakten Ausrichtung des vorderen Plattenendes 4 dienen Paßstifte 8. Sobald das vordere Plattenende 4 eingespannt ist, wird der Plattenzylinder zum Auflegen der Druckplatte 2 eine Umdrehung verdreht, so daß das nachlaufende Plattenende 5 ebenfalls an einer Spannschiene 9 eingehängt werden kann. Im mittleren Bereich der Spannschiene 9 ist ein Klemmstempel 10 vorgesehen, der vorzugsweise aus Polyurethan besteht und mittels Stellschrauben 11, die sich über ein Lager 12 an der Spannschiene 9 abstützen, an den abgewinkelten Bereich des nachlaufenden Plattenendes 5 anstellbar ist und dieses festklemmt. Danach erfolgt das Festspannen der Druckplatte 2 auf dem Plattenzylinder 1 über Druckfedern 13, so daß die beiden Spannschienen 6 und 9 in die in Figur 1 gezeichnete Stellung bewegt werden. Hierbei befinden sich die beiden Plattenenden 4 und 5 unter einer Abdeckplatte 14, die ein Heraus gleiten derselben verhindert.
