Definitions

  • the invention relates to a brush-making machine with a storage device for the still covered bristle bundles, a separating device and a device for feeding cut, covered bristle bundles to a tamping device, a separating station for removing the bundle wrappings being connected upstream.
  • the cut bristles can, for example, be filled manually into a holding magazine.
  • covered bristle strands are first cut into bundles of bristles in accordance with the intended bristle length in a cutting device, removed and inserted in cartons or the like. If necessary, the bundles are then removed from the cartons transported to the stuffing device, removed from the wrapping and inserted into a magazine.
  • such feeding is complex and cumbersome, among other things because an operator intervention in the production process is required at comparatively short intervals. Without manual intervention, only a short, automatically running work cycle is possible. You could increase the capacity of the bristle magazine, but this is only possible to a comparatively small extent, because a smooth position of the loose bristles is required for trouble-free processing, but this can only be achieved with smaller quantities.
  • DE-OS-2 632 328 shows a brush production machine in which bundles of bristles provided with wrappings are stored and, after the wrappings have been removed, are fed to a bristle magazine.
  • the covered bristle bundles are located one behind the other in a magazine with a mounting pad, in which they have to be refilled.
  • the possible stockpiling is thus limited to the existing magazine capacity, the refilling being able to take place in between or after the bristles have been completely used up with the amount of bristles predetermined by the magazine capacity.
  • the magazine capacity In the case of practical dimensions of the magazine, only comparably short, unattended working hours of the machine are possible, taking into account the high working speed of modern brush manufacturing machines.
  • the storage device is designed as a pallet device with at least one pallet for placing end-to-end side-by-side and side-by-side covering of sheathed bristle bundles. In this device, a comparatively large number of bristle bundles can already be stored, so that the automatic production process can be significantly extended.
  • the storage device has a plurality of pallets and an adjusting device for positioning individual pallets one after the other in the delivery position.
  • a bundle magazine or the like can be particularly easily loaded with a large quantity of stock, which is also sufficient for a longer production process, possibly over an entire working shift. It is also advantageous that one can vary the amount of equipment and make a good adjustment to the particular circumstances.
  • the use of individual pallets also means that the bristle bundles are temporarily stored in boxes and that subsequent transfer to a magazine is unnecessary, since the pallets themselves can be used as a bundle holder. It should also be mentioned that in the present application pallets are understood to mean transport platforms on which the bristle bundles can be placed as stored goods.
  • the individual pallets are expediently designed as tray-like receiving inserts with a base and lateral boundary walls and a preferably lateral discharge opening, wherein they are each expediently designed to be separable from the feed device.
  • Such tray-like receiving inserts can be handled particularly well when loading with bristle bundles and also when inserting them into a magazine.
  • the receptacle inserts are each assigned lids, preferably lids with side flanges or the like which at least partially overlap the sides of the receptacle inserts.
  • the bristle bundles located in the receptacle inserts are thus well protected and, moreover, these receptacle inserts can also be stacked particularly well for storage.
  • the pallet device has an inclined feed plane for receiving a receiving insert and / or for feeding bristle bundles to the separating device.
  • the bristle bundles are fed from a receiving insert to the separating device and individually removed and transported by means of the latter.
  • the pallet device for feeding the pallets for separating device has a conveyor belt or the like. Feeder for receiving a row of pallets. As a result, a large number of pallets equipped with bristle bundles can be fed to the separating device one after the other.
  • the pallet device for receiving and feeding bristle bundles has a tier magazine with a plurality of receptacles for bristle bundles or pallets lying one above the other. Such a floor magazine can be used particularly advantageously even in confined spaces. If necessary, the pallet device can have several deliveries, preferably leading to bundle separating devices, in particular for different bristles. This also allows the alternate feeding of different bristles.
  • a brush production machine can be seen in FIG. 2.
  • This comprises a feed device 2 for feeding bristles to a stuffing device 3, of which only the so-called circular arc divider 4 is shown here.
  • a feed device 2 for feeding bristles to a stuffing device 3, of which only the so-called circular arc divider 4 is shown here.
  • initially wrapped bristle bundles 5 are individually fed to a separation station 6, where the bundle wrappings are removed.
  • the bristles are then inserted in a bristle magazine 7 and from there the stuffing device or the circular arc divider 4 is fed as a loose bristle supply 8.
  • a storage device 45 with a mounting plate 40 is provided for the bristle bundle supply in a simple embodiment, onto which bristle bundles encased behind and next to one another can be placed on the end face.
  • the surface of this platen 40 can be adapted to the intended amount of stock, and a large stock of bristle bundles can also be processed practically without problems.
  • the feed device 2 also includes a separating device 17 and a removal device, these devices being integrated with one another in FIGS. 1, 2 and in another embodiment also in FIG. 9.
  • a separating slide 22 is provided at the feed end of the preferably inclined platen 40 with a receiving chamber 21 for an individual bristle bundle 5.
  • the feed device 2 has a pallet device 9 with a plurality of pallets 10 for cut-to-length, wrapped bristle bundles 5 placed thereon on the end face.
  • the pallets 10 are designed as tray-like receiving inserts 11 with a base 12 and lateral boundary walls 13 and a lateral delivery opening 14, as can be seen in particular in FIGS. 6 and 7.
  • These receptacle inserts 11 are each assigned covers 15 which have side flanges 16 which overlap the boundary walls 13 and the discharge opening 14.
  • Bristle bundles 5 placed on the pallet 10 are thereby accommodated in a transport-safe manner and also protected against contamination, and there is also the possibility of stacking the pallets 10 well.
  • the pallets 10 are of a handy size, so that they can also be easily handled with bristle bundles 5.
  • the pallets are separable from the feed device 2, so that they are independent of, for. B. at a cutting station, can be filled with bristle bundles 5.
  • a conveyor belt 18 is provided in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 for positioning the individual pallets 10 one after the other in the delivery position, in particular in the case of a separating device 17.
  • a number of pallets 10 or receiving inserts 11 are placed on this, which are transported one after the other by the conveyor belt 18 to a delivery position, where the bristle bundles 5 preferably reach the separating device 17 via a slide-like, inclined feed plane 19.
  • the conveyor belt 18 itself can be arranged obliquely in the extension of the inclined feed plane 19, the bristle bundles 5 located on the pallets 10 being prevented from slipping out of the receiving inserts 11 by a guide stop 20.
  • This guide stop 20 is interrupted in the area of the separating device 17 so that there the bristle bundles 5 can reach the separating device 17 via the feed plane 19.
  • the length of the conveyor belt 18 or the like and thus also the possible storage quantity of pallets 10 can be provided depending on the requirements. For example, the amount of stock could be such that the brush making machine can operate unattended over the period of an entire shift.
  • the inclined feed plane 19 is arranged laterally transversely to the transport direction of the conveyor belt 18. If necessary, in particular when the conveyor belt 18 is inclined, the inclined intermediate feed plane 19 could be omitted, so that in this case the separating device 17 would be arranged directly at the respective delivery opening 14 of a receiving insert 11.
  • FIGS. 4 and 5 show a modified embodiment of a pallet device 9 a, which has a stack magazine 23 with a plurality of superimposed receptacles 24 for bristle bundles 5 and pallets 10, respectively.
  • Bristle bundles 5 can be filled from pallets 10 into the individual receptacles 24. If necessary, the pallets 10 themselves can be inserted into the receptacles 24 and removed again after the bundles of bristles 5 have been released.
  • the storey magazine 23 is arranged on the delivery side inclined downward and has on this delivery side an end wall 25 with a delivery opening 26. At this delivery opening 26, approximately comparable to that shown in FIGS shown separating device.
  • the recordings 24 are according to the arrow Pf 1 in height z. B. height adjustable by means of a lifting cylinder 27 to the discharge opening 26.
  • the multi-storey magazine can be used particularly advantageously in confined spaces. 4 shows the magazine 23 in a lower and FIG. 5 in an upper delivery position
  • each individual separating device is comparable to that shown in FIG. 1
  • a connection channel 28 belonging to the removal device is provided here, via which slides 30, which are moved by means of lifting cylinders 29, can selectively feed bristle bundles 5 of one type to a feed channel 31 to a separation station 6.
  • a bristle magazine 7 with two receiving channels 42 connects to the separation station 6, so that the z. B. in terms of their color, bristles 8, 8 a are also available sorted again.
  • the two feed planes 43 to the receiving channels 42, to which a guide part 44 of the separation station 6 can optionally be aligned, are also shown in dash-dotted lines.
  • FIG. 9 A modified embodiment of a separating device is shown in FIG. 9.
  • a combined locking and feed slide 33 is arranged, which is shown here in the feed position.
  • a bundle of bristles 5 can slide over the feed channel 32 up to a stop 34, and upon a subsequent lifting movement of the slide, this bundle of bristles 5 is conveyed into the separation station 6.
  • this separation station 6 has a gripping device 35 with a holding and pulling gripper 36 and a removal gripper 37.
  • the coated bristle bundle is first gripped by the holding and pulling gripper 36 at the upper end region and then the free end of the bundle is gripped by the removal gripper 37 and the bristle bundle is pulled up out of the sheath 38.
  • the bristles are then conveyed to a subsequent bristle magazine 7, where they are placed between two pressure elements 39 which overlap with regard to the pressurization of the loose bristle supply 8.
  • the loose bristle stock 8 is comparatively small in order to obtain an exact position of the bristles and also the most uniform possible pressurization towards the circular arc divider 4. However, this comparatively small supply is continuously supplemented, if necessary, by supplied bristles from the bundle of bristles.
  • the brush manufacturing machine 1 with the feed device 2 has particular advantages with regard to the feeding of a variable, possibly also very large bristle supply to a tamping device 3 or the like, with the stocking of a possibly large amount of coated and therefore easier to handle and process bristle bundles 5 in connection with a comparatively small amount of loose bristle stock 8, a safe and practically trouble-free feeding of the bristles is also possible over longer periods of time.
  • FIGS. 12 to 14 show in a highly schematic manner that the bristle bundles 5, in addition to the position shown in the exemplary embodiment with bristle bundles placed on the end face (FIG. 13), can also be mounted laterally (FIG. 12). If necessary, an inclined mounting can also be provided, where a system is present both on the front side and on the side (FIG. 14). Among other things, because of the favorable graspability, the bristle bundles 5 are preferably placed on the end face. In special circumstances, however, the training according to FIGS. 12 and 14 can also be carried out.
