Definitions
- the invention relates to an aerosol packaging according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a similar single-chamber pressure packaging with two aerosol cans standing one above the other and connected to one another via an adapter system is described in DE-OS 31 16 282.7.
- the lower chamber or can receives, for example, hydrogen superoxide and propellant, while the upper can or chamber contains the respective active ingredient, e.g. contains an alkaline tint, dye or bleaching base and is depressurized.
- the lower chamber is pressed against the upper chamber.
- the contents of the lower chamber essentially reach the upper chamber.
- the mixture is finally discharged through a top valve in the upper chamber.
- Such an Eweitting pressure packaging or aerosol can known from DE-OS 26 39 322 has a normal 1-inch opening for the associated valve and one with a Bottom opening to be closed, about 3 mm wide.
- the essential feature of the two-chamber system in the present context is a polyethylene inner bag (PE inner bag), which has an outwardly curled edge in the valve opening area and lies in the suspended state on the rolled edge of the can.
- the known inner bag has predetermined kinks, which ensure controlled folding during product removal and thus ensure that the bag is completely emptied.
- the valve disc also contains a Buna seal. Ideally, the inner bag should be clamped between the Buna seal and the rolled can rim with the valve clipped on.
- the known inner bag only fills about 2/3 of the can volume and contains the entire active ingredient.
- the remaining space of the can volume is filled with propellant gas through the bottom opening, for example, with the help of an injector needle. The latter does not come into contact with the active ingredient even when used and is destroyed together with the can after emptying.
- the inner bag in the two-chamber system is depressurized and has no external sealing function, there are no special sealing requirements. If such an inner bag is used to line the lower chamber of the single-chamber aerosol packaging mentioned at the beginning, the inner bag would have to completely fill the lower chamber and, in addition to the active substance in the lower chamber, also contain the propellant gas.
- the known inner bag is constantly under increased pressure, the previously customary sealing of the edge of the bag on the roll edge of the can is often not sufficient in the storage test. The edge of the bag resting on the roll of cans can namely when the Valve are at least partially pressed into the lower chamber.
- the edge of the bag can slip out of the sealing area during the clinching process and, in extreme cases, can be at least partially pulled into the can by the spreading process of the clinching tongs. This results in leaks in the valve area, which cannot be accepted if the inner bag is under high internal pressure of a propellant gas.
- the invention has for its object to develop and improve the above-mentioned single-chamber pressure packaging so that it receives sufficient storage stability even in the overpressure range with highly corrosive content.
- the solution according to the invention in the case of aerosol packaging with two aerosol chambers arranged one above the other and connected to one another via an adapter system is that the lower chamber is lined with an inner bag which is stable in relation to the chamber contents and fills the chamber volume, and that a sealing profile is attached to the bag edge at the circumference of the bag opening the sealing ring, which is adapted to the lower chamber by clamping the edge of the bag, is formed with a thickness which exceeds the wall thickness of the bag many times.
- the invention therefore essentially consists in using the inner bag known from the two-chamber pressure packaging in a single-chamber pressure packaging and making this transfer possible in that the inner bag itself is provided with an integrally formed sealing ring, which at the same time the additional use of a Buna seal makes redundant.
- an inner bag designed in this way has the advantage that it is flat and well secured on the chamber cover. Place the can rim and at Place the valve cover in the associated sealing groove.
- the axial thickness and the radial width of the ring body are preferably chosen to be large compared to the wall thickness of the bag.
- a diameter of the order of 1 mm and a width of the order of 3 mm are suitable for the sealing ring.
- the bag itself is made of a material which is storage stable even in long-term storage and under increased pressure over the réellerecil l active substance. Elastomers of the type polychlorophene, polybutadiene, chlorobutyl, ethyl / propyl terpolymers, fluorine / chlorine elastomers, polypropylene, polyethylene are suitable as bag material for storing dilute hydrogen peroxide solutions.
- the sealing ring 3 which is formed on the edge of the bag and surrounds the opening 2 of the bag.
- the aerosol packaging according to FIG. 2 consists of a container, designated overall by 5 and consisting of an upper sleeve 6 and a lower sleeve 7, with a cap 8 and an upper chamber 9 and a lower chamber 10 inserted therein.
- the upper chamber 9 has a top valve 11 and a Bottom valve 12.
- the lower chamber 10, which is usually in the form of a conventional aerosol can, has a head valve 13, which corresponds to the bottom valve 12 of the upper chamber 9 in terms of function, like a mother-daughter valve of a conventional type.
- the two product chambers 9 and 10 are preferably arranged one above the other so that the stem of the bottom valve 12 of the upper chamber 9 sits centrally above the top valve 13 of the lower chamber 10.
- the upper chamber 9 can be pressed against the lower chamber 10 (or vice versa) by pressing on an external bracket or with the aid of a bayonet system, but also by means of a screw connection or toothing.
- the resulting relative movement opens the mother-daughter valve arrangement 12, 13 and thus the connecting channel 16 between the chambers 9 and 10.
- the upper product chamber 9 can be equipped with one or two risers 17 and 18.
- One riser pipe 17 can end from the bottom valve 12 in the upper region of the upper chamber 9 within the product or the mixture. This allows foaming or mixing to be achieved or at least facilitated when the system is actuated.
- the top valve 11 of the upper chamber 9 can also be equipped with a riser pipe 18 which extends into the vicinity of the bottom of the chamber.
- a similar riser pipe 19 can be provided starting from the top valve 13 of the lower chamber 10 - reaching to the bottom thereof. This riser pipe ensures that almost the entire product volume of the lower chamber 10 can be brought into the upper chamber 9 when the system is in a vertical position.
- the two chambers 9 and 10 are first pressed against one another in the direction of the arrow 21 by about the coupling path 20 indicated in the drawing.
- a pressure against the lower chamber 10 can be exerted directly on the upper chamber 9.
- This compression of the chambers 9 and 10 opens the connecting channel 16 between the chambers, so that the component B contained in the lower chamber 10 flows together with propellant gas into the upper chamber 9 until pressure equalization.
- the mixture of component A of the upper chamber 9 and component B of the lower chamber 10 can be homogenized by shaking.
- the finished mixture can be supplied to the intended use by actuating or opening the head valve 11 of the upper chamber 9 via a spray head or applicator 22.
Abstract
Description
Nr. 13/1982, 399/400.
- Fig. 1 einen Innenbeutel ; ; und
- Fig. 2 einen Längsschnitt durch eine Aerosolverpackung.
