Definitions
- the invention relates to a piece of jewelry consisting of segments of different alloy levels of a noble metal, the individual segments being welded to one another and to a method for producing wires, rods, profiles or sheets from segments of different alloy levels of noble metals.
- Jewelery made of precious metals in which the appearance is given its special character by the different colors of the metals used, are known in a wide variety of forms. Methods for the production of such jewelry or of the primary materials are also known.
- DE-A 27 33 602 describes a method for producing a piece of jewelry made of platinum with a fine gold coating.
- the brilliance of the color effects is achieved by contrasting gold and platinum.
- a jewelry blank which consists of individual segments of different alloy levels, where the individual parts are also welded together.
- the different alloy levels should differ very clearly in order to contrast differently colored metals in order to achieve high-contrast color gradients even in the case of a piece of jewelry.
- the object of the invention is to create a solution with which a piece of jewelry or primary materials, such as wires, rods, profiles or sheets, can be produced, which have an essentially continuously changing color gradient.
- this object is achieved according to the invention in that it is made from a blank whose segments from different alloy levels have melting points which are close to one another, the individual segments being fusion-welded to one another in such a way that a continuously changing color gradient results.
- the object is achieved according to the invention in that individual wire, rod, profile or sheet metal segments are produced in individual alloy stages with melting points lying close to one another and are then weld-welded to one another in such a way that a continuously changing color gradient results.
- the invention takes advantage of the melting points of the different metal segments which are located close to one another.
- the ring 1 shown in Fig. 1 is designed as a so-called split ring, at the gap 2, the greatest color jump occurs. For example, from an area of the purest gold 3, the color of red, rose, yellow, green, ivory and finally silvery white can change in area 4 due to an increase in the silver content.
- the ring 1 'shown in Fig. 2 does not have a color jump in a gap, but opposite dark and light areas, which are denoted by 3' and 4 'based on the designation in Fig. 1.
- FIGS. 3 and 4 show other pieces of jewelry that are made from plates or rods of different color gradients.
- a sub-area is e.g. a necklace 5 with a plurality of metal plates 6, which have different color gradients
- Fig. 4 e.g. part of an arm chain 7 is shown, again with individual metal plates 8 of different color gradients.
- the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments described, but rather can be modified in many ways without departing from the basic idea of the invention. So the invention is of course not limited to a special type of jewelry.
- the procedure according to the invention can be used for a large number of other things in which in particular noble metals and their alloys are used. I.e. the invention is not only limited to the jewelry sector, it can also be used in electronics, for example, if e.g. due to constant alloy changes, a corresponding change in the heat or current flow in a component should be desired and the like.
