Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Pressen-Einheit der im Oberbegriff des Patentanspruches 1 angegebenen Art.The invention relates to a press unit of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1.

Gripping devices are attached to the gripper rails and their dimensions and settings are matched to the workpiece to be gripped. The gripping tools can thus be assigned directly to the tool or set of tools in a press unit. In order to reduce the tool change times and to avoid the necessary changes to the gripper within this period, the gripper rails are exchanged for grippers and gripper rails that are matched to the new workpiece when the tool or tool set is changed. For this purpose, the gripper rails must be uncoupled from the drive.

A known device for the fixed, positive connection of rods in tool holding devices is shown in GB-A-1 101 838. Here, the ends of the rods to be connected have been provided with claws which interlock positively. A sleeve with a grip part is to be pushed over the connection, which is to be guided against a stop and thus holds the connection against unintentional loosening. The document contains no references to the automation of the closing and opening and securing of the connection; rather, the connection must be made and released manually. This device can only be used to a limited extent in press units, since the gripper rail linkages used there have to be guided, but the transfer movement of the gripper rails is so large that gripper rails with connections between the tool sets constructed in this way cannot be used.

In DE-C-1964326 a step press has been described with a transport device for conveying the workpieces from processing station to processing station. The transport movement is derived from the ram drive. Each press ram is assigned a sliding table which can be moved relative to the associated press table and which carries the lower tool of at least one tool set. The transport device assigned to a tool set or the tool sets can be uncoupled from the ram-side drive above the floor and can be exchanged with the tool set or sets.

The idea of the device shown in GB-A-1 101 838 has also not been taken up in DE-A1-29 00 526. This document shows u. a. a transfer unit for moving gripper rails back and forth. The gripper rails are divided into gripper rails on the tool side, which can also be exchanged with the tool, and gripper rails on the press frame side, which remain in the press assembly. The gripper rail parts can be positively connected to one another via a pin-hole connection. The connection can be repeatedly canceled and re-established by lifting and lowering a plate carrying the tools. In order to prevent the gripper rails from separating from each other when the rods are moved very quickly, an oil pressure cylinder with a piston is attached to the frame-side gripper rail, which acts upon a rubber-elastic member that acts under pressure on the Hole edge of the tool-side perforation of the positive connection. The structure of the safety device is accessible from all sides and thus exposed to the harsh operating conditions. The excellent components prevent the use of this device between the tool sets or tools within the press.

Furthermore, a transfer device is known from US Pat. No. 3,795,130 with which workpieces can be fed to a press or removed from the press. In addition to the means for relocating workpieces, the relocating device also has connecting rods which are telescopically adjustable in length. In the cavity in the end part of each connecting rod, a connector is inserted, which has transversely to the longitudinal extension in series one behind the other holes that can be brought into alignment with a hole in the wall of the connecting rod. Through the hole in the wall of the connecting rod, a pin can be inserted from the outside to lock the connector in the cavity. The same parts (connecting rods) are not connected here. The connecting rod and connecting piece are connected manually and cannot be automated with the given means. If the transfer device is removed from the press frame or press tool, both the connecting rods and the connecting pieces are also removed without the connection between these rod parts having to be released.

The object of the invention is to automate the changing process of the gripper rails at the same time as the changing process of the tools. Here, a retrofittable system is to be created, which is possible both in presses without lifting the tool sets when changing tools and in presses with lifting the tool sets or lifting the gripper rails for changing them.

This object is achieved in the press unit mentioned at the outset by the means and arrangements specified in the characterizing part of the patent claim.

The advantages of the invention result from the encapsulated construction, which saves space, creates a long-term, reliable and maintenance-free device and makes it possible is to let the actuators for closing and releasing the positive connection engage in the area of the connection. Further advantages also result from the fact that existing lifting means for lifting the sliding table, tool or gripper rail can be used. Existing cavities in the gripper rails are optimally used.

The further claims show advantageous embodiments of the invention. The number of actuators is reduced to twice the number of interfaces because the actuators are not replaced. The invention can be used both for workpiece transport with gripping tools attached to two gripper rails, opposing each other in pairs and jointly attacking the workpiece, as well as for gripper rails with one gripping tool per workpiece access and in particular also for activatable gripping tools on a gripper rail with vertical gripper access. Further advantages also result from the following description of exemplary embodiments of the invention shown in the drawing.

B. may be available for vertical workpiece access. The gripper rails can be separated from one another in the region of the separation points indicated by 16 into press-side gripper rails 12 and tool-side gripper rails 13. The gripper rails are to be adjusted in sliding guides 14 in the direction of the transfer movement and with these in gripping and lifting and lowering movements. Lifting cylinders 11 are used for lifting and lowering the workpieces in the workstations, with which, as with the lifting cylinders 8 of the sliding tables, the gripper rails 12 are lifted out of the gripper rails 13 (FIG. 1) or the gripper rails 13 are lifted out of the gripper rails 12 ( Fig. 5) can be done. The stroke direction during the workpiece transfer is indicated by the double arrow 17, the transfer direction by the double arrow 18. The gripping movement takes place according to FIG. 1 from the plane of the drawing and is indicated by 19 in FIG. In one of the detachable and uncouplable gripper rail ends, as also shown in FIGS. 4, 5 and 6 and numbered 47 in FIG. 4, a locking element 51 is displaceably mounted in the stiffening piece 50 in the direction of arrow 58 and an actuator 56 which is connected to the locking element via a push rod 53. In the other associated gripper rail end there is a permanently installed counter-shaped piece 52 for receiving the locking element which can be inserted into its recess 61 when the dome is in the coupled state. The actuator 56 can be a double-acting hydraulic cylinder piston, which can be controlled via the hoses 57 in the sense of an opening-closing movement for the locking element. The locking member is guided in the recess 60 of the stiffening piece and essentially in the front area 62. Actuator 56, push rod 53 and locking element 51 in one gripper rail end, which is preferably to be assigned to the press-side gripper rail part 12, and the counterforming piece 52 in the other gripper rail end extend in cavities 73 of the gripper rails, which are, for example, rectangular or square, in their longitudinal extension according to arrow 63 The gripper rail ends have teeth 66 for fixed connection in the transfer direction 18, for example a single tooth-like configuration with the projection or teeth 67 and 68 with the cutouts 69 for receiving the tooth of the gripper rail end to be coupled.

The effect of the locking measure consisting of actuator 56, push rod 53, locking element 51 and counterpart is to secure the coupling state of the gripper rail ends. For a tool change, the locking member 51 is first returned from the recess 61 of the counterpart 52 by automatically running control so that the press-side gripper rail 12 is guided out of engagement with the tool-side gripper rail via the lifting cylinder or cylinders 8, 11. The stroke of the press-side gripper rail 12 is then to be increased by the stroke of the sliding table 3 when it is to be lifted over the lifting cylinders in order to remove the tools. Fig. 4 allows a view of the ends of the gripper rails to be coupled. For a better view into the cavity 73 of the upper gripper rail end, which can be the press-side gripper rail end, for example. the linkage is shown broken. The gripper rail end to be uncoupled and shown below has been shown rotated by 180 degrees in the horizontal plane for a better view of the recess side 61. The ends of the gripper rails can be coupled and uncoupled in the direction of the double arrows 48 and 49, i.e. in the direction of the stroke 17 of the transfer movement, whereby the toothing shown interlocks.

Another embodiment of the ends of the gripper rails is shown in FIG. 5. Several teeth in the manner of toothed racks 66 are attached to each gripper rail with the foot and head lines 71, 72 which are perpendicular to the uncoupling movement 49 (FIG. 4) or to the lifting directions 17 run. The positive connection formed in the dome state is secured by the locking member 51 guided in direction 58.

Die strichpunktierte Darstellungsweise deutet die Stellung der Greifzeuge 74 bei der Werkstückentnahme bzw. der Werkstückablage aus dem bzw. in das Werkzeug an.6 shows a partial front view and a partial side view of a gripper rail with the press-side gripper rail part 13 for a vertical infeed movement 19 of, for example, active gripper tongs 74. The gripper rail 13 remaining on the tool when the tool is changed is removed from the frame-side gripper rail 12 2 by lifting the frame-side gripper rail 12 , as shown here, or by lowering when the arrangement of the teeth 67, 68 forming the positive connection is reversed. The dash-dotted representation indicates the position of the gripping tools 74 when removing or depositing the workpiece from or into the tool.

When changing tools, in particular when changing tools using sliding tables, the entire transfer device can be switched off by means of a so-called summation circuit. The summation circuit causes a command to z. B. the valve for longitudinal movement of the gripper, here the gripper rails remain in the feed end position, the valve for transverse gripper movement, the gripper rails open or remain in the open position, and for the valve for the lifting and lowering movement, so that the gripper rails are in a lowered position be led or remain in this, is given. 2 and 3 serve to illustrate the movements of the gripper rails during transfer.

In Fig. 2 it is shown how via an adjusting rod 21 which is pivotally mounted in the articulation point 22 on the articulated lever 27, which is pivotally mounted in a frame fixed point 23 and is articulated on the articulated lever 26. When the adjustment rod is adjusted in the horizontal direction, the articulation rod 28 is raised, which acts on the gripper rail 12 via a slide bearing 37 in the sense of a lifting movement in the direction of the arrow 17. The opening and closing movement takes place via the drive rod 31, a bevel gear 32, the pinion gear 35 with movement conversion between the pinion 36 and the two toothed racks 33. Of which the toothed rack shown here on the right is articulated to the slide 30 carrying the gripper rail via the guide 14 . For this purpose, the slide is arranged so as to be longitudinally movable via guide pins 29 in an elongated hole 34 in a support plate of the frame 2.

Die Transferbewegung 18 erfolgt senkrecht zu den Bewegungen für das Heben und Senken 17 und für die Öffnungs- und Schließbewegung 19.3 shows a possibility of converting a rotary movement into the transfer movement 18 of the gripper rail 12 with a drive lever 38 which can be pivoted about the pivot point 39 and a slide 41 which is adjustable in guides 42. The transfer movement 18 takes place perpendicular to the movements for the lifting and lowering 17 and for the opening and closing movement 19.
