Definitions
- the invention relates to a water-containing substance mixture with at least one active ingredient.
- Such mixtures of substances are known. Usually, these are substances in which at least one active ingredient is the main qualitative component. The remaining constituents of the mixture of substances serve essentially only for the application of the active ingredient, e.g. to facilitate its fine distribution over an area to be treated with it and, if necessary, to increase its effectiveness.
- Examples of such substance mixtures are agents for controlling pests in the plant and animal sectors and agents in the fields of cosmetics and medicine.
- Corresponding active ingredients are thus e.g. Insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, antiperspirants, deodorants. Bactericidal, disinfectant compounds and medicinal substances.
- liquid carriers such as water or organic solvents, emulsifiers, dispersants, substances for adjusting the viscosity, film formers, fragrances and propellants (for aerosol preparations).
- the amount of the active ingredient is only a small fraction of the total mixture.
- V / The application of the Stof mixtures may vary depending upon the nature of the active substance and the desired application technique in very different ways, .zB by dipping, pouring, brushing, 'spraying, if necessary. Using gaseous blowing agents, take place.
- Aqueous mixtures of substances for distributing active substances have been known for a long time.
- a mixture of substances can be in the form of an aerosol preparation which, depending on the active ingredient, can be used, for example, as a colorant, mold release agent, lubricant or surface treatment agent.
- these are mixtures of substances with which good film formation is to be achieved.
- a dispersant is commercially available, which is an amphoteric alkyl ethylene aminocarboxylate of the likely general formula R-NH-CH_CH C00 ⁇ Na ⁇ , in which R represents an alkyl radical with an average of 12 carbon atoms.
- water-sensitive active ingredients are the insecticide O- (2,2-dichlorovinyl) -O, 0-dimethylphosphate, the pesticide Fenithrothio, the pesticide O, O-Dimethyl-O- (3-methyl-4-nitrophenyl) - phosphorothioate and the antiperspirant
- water-containing substance mixtures often cause problems with the corrosion of the containers in which the substance mixtures are stored.
- the containers are made of tinplate, for example. Corrosion can occur with or without the participation of the active substance contained in the substance mixture or its decomposition products.
- the invention has for its object to provide an aqueous mixture in which
- Cosmetics and active ingredients provided in medicine b ' which, when used with the aid of such a mixture of substances, should be finely distributed and which are normally sensitive to water, do not decompose. Moreover, the mixture of substances intended - 0 over conventional container materials non-corrosive.
- the coconut diethanolamide interacts with various water-sensitive active substances in such a way that these active substances do not decompose in an aqueous mixture of substances.
- Such a mixture of substances also works. not corrosive to container materials such as tinplate
- the Kokosdiäthanolamid functions as a dispersant, although has not yet been clarified completely ge whether the substance mixture so prepared dispersion or "emulsion represents.
- the Kokosdiäthanolamid is in the 0 market. .Er sexualliche amber liquid with a Cleararrungs ⁇ point of about 6 ° C and a density of 0.99 g / cm at 25 C.
- the content of free or unreacted fatty acids, such as lauric acid, is at most 3 to 4%.
- a one percent dispersion of the amide has a pH of 8 to 9. The connection is
- OMPI in alcohols, glycols, ketones, "esters, and aliphatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated solvents, aromatic soluble and can be dispersed at concentrations of 1 to 2% in water.
- the compound is concentrations in higher Konzen ⁇ soluble, wherein at a 10% Solution sets a viscosity similar to a gel.
- pesticides are particularly suitable as active ingredients, in particular DDVP, fenithrothione and 0.0-dimethyl-O- (3-methyl-4-nitrophenyl) phosphorothioate.
- the substance mixtures according to the invention are of particular importance in the field of horticulture and agriculture. There, large amounts of the active ingredients are required and used in the form of spraying agents in order to keep ornamental and useful plants free of pests.
- the invention is also very suitable for use in the cosmetic field, e.g. for the use of water-sensitive antiperspirants, especially aluminum-hydroxychlori.
- the amount of coconut diethanolamide in the substance mixtures should be in the range from about 0.14 to 28.6%, preferably 0.28 to 14.3%, in particular 0.71 to 7.1%.
- the optimal amount is about 3.6%.
- composition of the mixture are of the following sizes:
- kerosene, acetone, methylene chloride, lower alcohols, white spirit, hexane or isopropyl myristate can be used as organic carriers.
- the substance mixtures are preferably converted into an aerosol preparation together with a propellant.
- a quantitative ratio of the mixture of substances (without blowing agent) to the blowing agent of 70:30 has proven to be very favorable. However, this ratio may vary depending on the components of the
- OMPI Mixture of substances and the blowing agent can also be selected differently.
- Suitable blowing agents are e.g. Halogenated hydrocarbons, such as CC ⁇ Fo dimethyl ether and propane-butane mixtures, the proportions of which are selected so that a pressure of 3.5 bar results at room temperature.
- the amount of coconut diol is id. about 0.1 to 20%, preferably 0.2 to 10%, in particular 0.5 to 5%, optimally 2.5%, in each case based on the entire mixture including the blowing agent.
- the stabilizing effect of the water-sensitive active ingredient may be best at a pH of 4-9 ,. preferably 6.5 to 7.
- the substance has an emic effect on conventional container materials, for example tinplate used for aerosol cans (approx. 25 g tin / m 2 ) f , also not at all or only very little at the higher temperatures mentioned.
- a water-sensitive active ingredient e.g. DDVP
- DDVP water-sensitive active ingredient
- the aforementioned known alkyl ethylene aminocarboxylate as emulsifier and anti-corrosion agent in a water-containing substance mixture is unusable after three weeks at the latest, with corrosion being recognizable at the same time in the container in which the substance mixture is located if the container consists of tinplate.
- Aerosol preparations made.
- DDVP 1 .O- (2,2-dichlorovinyl) -0,0-dimethylphosphate, 97 percent, acid number ⁇ 0.05
- DDVP 2 O- (2,2-dichlorovinyl) -0,0-dimethylphosphate, acid number. > 0.16
- DDVP 3 O- (2,2-dichlorovinyl) -0,0-dimethylphosphate, 99 percent
- Pesticide S 0, O-dimethyl-0- (3-methyl-4-nitrophenyl) phosphorothioate
- Chlorohydrol aluminum hydroxychloride
- Dispersant 1 coconut diethanolamide (according to the invention)
- Dispersant 2 alkyl ethylene aminocarboxylate
- Solvent 2 isopropyl myristate auxiliary 1 plasticizer based on epoxidized soybean oil, octyl oleate and butyl oleate
- blowing agent 1 propane-butane mixture with a mixing ratio was used as the blowing agent, in which a blowing agent pressure of 3.5 bar is established.
- the substance mixtures or aerosol preparations were normally produced in such a way that all the constituents of the substance mixture with the exception of the water and the propellant were first mixed and the mixture obtained was then mixed with the appropriate amount of water and supplemented with propellant in an aerosol container.
- the material of the aerosol cans containing the substance mixtures (eg tinplate E1 with a coating of 25 g tin / m 2 ) was not attacked by corrosion.
- the preferred ranges specified above for the amount of coconut diethanolamide used according to the invention were also established. These ranges resulted from the assessment of various properties of the substance mixtures, such as viscosity, stability of the dispersion and spray behavior.
- OMPI complete loss of the desired effect of the active ingredient after a few days or weeks, but also severe signs of corrosion on the aerosol can material.
