Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a snow blower with two milling drums, which are seated on free, horizontally and transversely to the direction of travel supporting axes of a central gear arranged within the milling drum.
Such snow blowers, as described for example in German patent 2147001, have been tried and tested for a long time. Their clearing width is usually in a range between 2 and 3 m when both drum halves are in use. Each drum half is usually assigned a separate ejection chimney, which either ejects the snow picked up by the respective drum half freely or conveys it to the loading area of a truck.
So-called side snow blowers have been developed for use in urban areas, in particular for clearing or loading ramparts. About half of their clearing width is formed by a milling drum, the rest by a feed snow plow. Its share is arranged obliquely, so that its outer edge lies in the broaching direction in front of its inner edge adjacent to the milling drum. The feed snow plow conveys snow lying to the side of the milling drum in front of the milling drum, which in turn. the snow fed in this way and the snow lying in front of it in the area of the edge wall.
Often, however, it is desirable to use a snow blower both in the city area to remove edge walls and to clear areas, e.g. of snow-covered lanes or parking lots. The side snow blower described is unsuitable for clearing areas, because due to the supply snow plow it gets stuck in larger snow heights and in hard snow. The known snow blower with two milling drums arranged directly next to one another in turn has disadvantages for removing the edge wall, since the milling drum lying next to the edge wall also rotates unused. This means not only wasting energy, but also the risk that the discharge chute of the unused milling drum becomes blocked, since the snow discharge speed is correspondingly low with a low conveying capacity. If the chute is blocked, the clearing work must be interrupted repeatedly to remove the blockage. The unused rotating drum also poses a danger to passers-by when used in urban areas.
In contrast, the present invention has for its object to provide a universally applicable, i.e. to create snow blowers suitable for clearing marginal walls as well as for clearing areas.
This object is achieved according to the invention on a snow blower of the type mentioned at the outset in that a ploughshare can be connected instead of one of the two milling drums, in such a way that its side adjacent to the remaining milling drum is fastened to a part fixed to the housing and the back of which is attached to the free part via a support Carrying axis of the gearbox is connected to the sleeve.
Such a snow blower offers the buyer the possibility of simply converting a snow blower with two milling drums into a side snow blower with only one milling drum and a snow plow instead of the second milling drum. When used in right-hand traffic, when viewed in the clearing direction, the left, i.e. the inside of the milling drum, is replaced by the snow plow. In the context of the proposal for the invention, this is done amazingly simply by pulling the milling drum off the carrying axis of the gear unit and inserting the sleeve for the snow plow attachment over it. The plow angle can be changed by varying the length of the support. This can be done in stages or continuously, manually or by motor or hydraulically.
By symmetrically forming the share of the ploughshare with respect to a horizontal axis, it is possible to attach the ploughshare either to the left (right-hand traffic) or right (left-hand traffic) milling drum. The only requirement is that fastening elements for the releasable fastening of the clearing bar are provided both on the upper and on the lower edge of the share body.
The height and length of the ploughshare can be adapted to the diameter and the length of one half of the milling cutter.
In such an embodiment, the gap of the milling cutter housing formed by the removed drum half is closed again.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing.

The snow blower acc. Fig. 1 has two
The
