Abstract

A snowblower with a propeller drum seated on a free support axle that is disposed horizontally and perpendicular to the driving direction. The support axle is operated by a drive which is situated centrally within the drum. The snowblower also serves a lateral snowblowing function by the connection of a snowplow in place of the usual second drum. The side of the snowplow adjacent to the propeller drum is fixed rigidly to the housing. The back side of the snowplow is connected to a bushing which can be placed on the support axle normally provided for the removed propeller drum.

Description

The invention relates to a snow blower with two milling drums, which are seated on free, horizontally and transversely to the direction of travel supporting axes of a central gear arranged within the milling drum.

Such snow blowers, as described for example in German patent 2147001, have been tried and tested for a long time. Their clearing width is usually in a range between 2 and 3 m when both drum halves are in use. Each drum half is usually assigned a separate ejection chimney, which either ejects the snow picked up by the respective drum half freely or conveys it to the loading area of a truck.

So-called side snow blowers have been developed for use in urban areas, in particular for clearing or loading ramparts. About half of their clearing width is formed by a milling drum, the rest by a feed snow plow. Its share is arranged obliquely, so that its outer edge lies in the broaching direction in front of its inner edge adjacent to the milling drum. The feed snow plow conveys snow lying to the side of the milling drum in front of the milling drum, which in turn. the snow fed in this way and the snow lying in front of it in the area of the edge wall.

Often, however, it is desirable to use a snow blower both in the city area to remove edge walls and to clear areas, e.g. of snow-covered lanes or parking lots. The side snow blower described is unsuitable for clearing areas, because due to the supply snow plow it gets stuck in larger snow heights and in hard snow. The known snow blower with two milling drums arranged directly next to one another in turn has disadvantages for removing the edge wall, since the milling drum lying next to the edge wall also rotates unused. This means not only wasting energy, but also the risk that the discharge chute of the unused milling drum becomes blocked, since the snow discharge speed is correspondingly low with a low conveying capacity. If the chute is blocked, the clearing work must be interrupted repeatedly to remove the blockage. The unused rotating drum also poses a danger to passers-by when used in urban areas.

In contrast, the present invention has for its object to provide a universally applicable, i.e. to create snow blowers suitable for clearing marginal walls as well as for clearing areas.

This object is achieved according to the invention on a snow blower of the type mentioned at the outset in that a ploughshare can be connected instead of one of the two milling drums, in such a way that its side adjacent to the remaining milling drum is fastened to a part fixed to the housing and the back of which is attached to the free part via a support Carrying axis of the gearbox is connected to the sleeve.

Such a snow blower offers the buyer the possibility of simply converting a snow blower with two milling drums into a side snow blower with only one milling drum and a snow plow instead of the second milling drum. When used in right-hand traffic, when viewed in the clearing direction, the left, i.e. the inside of the milling drum, is replaced by the snow plow. In the context of the proposal for the invention, this is done amazingly simply by pulling the milling drum off the carrying axis of the gear unit and inserting the sleeve for the snow plow attachment over it. The plow angle can be changed by varying the length of the support. This can be done in stages or continuously, manually or by motor or hydraulically.

By symmetrically forming the share of the ploughshare with respect to a horizontal axis, it is possible to attach the ploughshare either to the left (right-hand traffic) or right (left-hand traffic) milling drum. The only requirement is that fastening elements for the releasable fastening of the clearing bar are provided both on the upper and on the lower edge of the share body.

The height and length of the ploughshare can be adapted to the diameter and the length of one half of the milling cutter.

In such an embodiment, the gap of the milling cutter housing formed by the removed drum half is closed again.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing.

  • 2 is a ploughshare in the view from the front,
  • Fig. 3 shows the snow blower with attached ploughshare in top view and
  • Fig. 4 the snow blower with attached ploughshare in the view from the front.

The snow blower acc. Fig. 1 has two milling drums 1, 2, of which the right milling drum 2 shown in dash-dotted lines in the drawing has been removed. The two milling drums 1, 2 close to a ring web 3 towards the center. The ring web 3 and a gear 4 housed in the interior of the milling drums with supporting axes 5 on both sides are fixed to the housing. The drive (FIG. 3) takes place via a drive shaft 21 which is driven on the vehicle side and which drives the gear 4 for the two milling drums 1, 2 via a chain wheel gear 22. The gear 4, for example in the manner of an angular gear, lies in the middle between the two hollow milling drums. Two ejection chimneys 8, 9, each of which is assigned to a milling drum, are located on the milling drum housing 6, which has flaps 7 movable on the upper front edge to prevent snow being ejected to the front. Along the Un The edge of the milling drum housing 6 extends through an exchangeable wear rail 10. Removable snow blades 23 on the upper side edges of the milling drum housing 6 serve to shear off overhanging snow walls.

Die Muffe 20 besitzt eine Bohrung zur Aufnahme der Tragachse 5.A ploughshare 11 shown in FIG. 2 with a clearing bar 12 has eyelets 13, 14 on its left vertical edge, which are used for the articulated connection to corresponding double eyelets 15, 16 of the ring web 3. The bolts for securing this articulated connection are not shown. On the back of the ploughshare 11, as shown in FIG. 3, a support 17 is articulated at 18. The support 17 is also pivotally connected to a sleeve 20 at its opposite end at 19. The sleeve 20 has a bore for receiving the supporting axis 5.

The sleeve 20 is pushed up to a stop 21 on the transmission side of the transmission housing 25 over the supporting axis 5, so that the latter is completely received in the bore of the sleeve 20.

The ploughshare 11 shown in the drawing is asymmetrical with respect to a horizontal axis a indicated in FIG. 2. In the case of a symmetrical formation of the share body 24 of the ploughshare 11, there is the possibility of attaching the ploughshare either instead of the milling drum 1 shown on the left or the milling drum 2 shown on the right. In this case, only the clearing bar 12 would have to be attached to the opposite edge 26, which with symmetrical training of the share body 24 could have the dashed line. The attachment of appropriate fasteners along both horizontal edges of the ploughshare is not difficult.

According to FIG. 3, on the back of the cutter housing 6, the two-sided impellers 28 with their height adjustment serving handwheels 29, as well as two articulation supports 30 for fastening the cutter housing 6 on the front of a carrier vehicle, not shown, can be seen. Deflection rings 31 on the outer sides of the milling housing 6 protect the milling streams 1, 2 from damage.

Der rechts dargestellte Auswurfkamin 9 ist bei gemäss Fig. 4 angebautem Zuführungs-Schneepflug selbstverständlich ausser Betrieb.4, the ploughshare 11 is shown in the mounted state in the front view of the milling unit. Your left vertical edge 27 covers the ring web 3 approximately to the middle. The gear 4 is shown in dashed lines. One can see the two support axes 5 which project freely to the right or left, in which case only the support axis 5 shown on the left receives the milling drum 1 assigned to it, while the support axis 5 shown on the right for receiving the sleeve 20 on which the support 17 is attached is serves. The ejection chimney 9 shown on the right is, of course, out of operation when the feed snow plow is attached according to FIG. 4.
