Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe wird durch die Anwendung folgender Merkmale erreicht :

  • a) jedes Paar der Metallarme (12, 13) und der dazugehörige Flachsteckeranschluß (11) sind einteilig aus einem Federband ausgeschnitten und gebogen,
  • b) das Federband ist durch Falten gedoppelt, wobei das den Falz aufweisende Ende den Flachstecker (11) bildet,
  • c) die beiden Kontaktarme (12,13) sind schmaler ausgeführt als der sich daran anschließende, der Befestigung dienende Abschnitt (14, 15).
  • d) die der Befestigung dienenden Abschnitte (14, 15) beider Metallarmpaare sind schubladenartig in seitliche Nuten (16, 17) der Fassungsgrundplatte (2) eingeschoben, derart, daß die Randbereiche der durch Falten gedoppelten, der Befestigung dienenden Abschnitte (14, 15) von den seitlichen Nuten (16, 17) zusammengehalten werden,
  • e) der an der Fassungsgrundplatte (2) anliegende Metallarm weist eine federnde Nase (18) auf, die in eine Ausnehmung (19) der Fassungsgrundplatte (2) widerhakenartig einrastet.

Um den Kontaktarm 13 weiterhin zu versteifen, ist die Biegestelle zum Abschnitt 15 hin mit einer Einprägung 21 versehen, welche die Biegestelle wesentlich versteift. Damit bildet dieser Kontaktarm im wesentlichen einen starren Arm, an dem die Kontaktflansche 5 und 6 der Glühlampe anliegen. Um die Kontaktsicherheit zu erhöhen, ist der Kontaktarm 13 mit Kontaktwarzen 22 versehen, die als kleine Einprägungen in das Bandmaterial eingebracht sind. Diese Kontaktwarzen sind in Höhe einer konvex im Kontaktarm 12 eingebrachten Durchbiegung 23 angeordnet, so daß der Kontaktdruck auf diese punktförmige Erhöhung gerichtet ist. Hierdurch ergibt sich ein spezifisch höherer Kontaktdruck.The contact arm 13 of the contact device bears against a rear wall 20 of the base plate 2, as a result of which it is supported at least towards the rear. In order to further stiffen the contact arm 13, the bending point toward the section 15 is provided with an indentation 21 which substantially stiffens the bending point. This contact arm essentially forms a rigid arm against which the contact flanges 5 and 6 of the incandescent lamp rest. In order to increase the contact reliability, the contact arm 13 is provided with contact warts 22, which are introduced as small impressions in the strip material. These contact lugs are arranged at the level of a deflection 23 introduced convexly in the contact arm 12, so that the contact pressure is directed at this punctiform elevation. This results in a specifically higher contact pressure.

Claims (5)

1. Socket for holding so-called H2 incandescent lamps (1), which comprise at their end nearest the socket two contact flanges (5, 6) which are situated diametrally opposite each other and are situated in a single plane and in which apertures (7, 8) are formed for fixing in the socket, the socket body comprising substantially a heat-resistant base plate which is insertable in the reflector of a vehicle headlamp or a vehicle light and on which there are secured two pairs of conductive metal arms, each of these pairs forming at one end a flat plug terminal (11) and clamping the contact flanges (5, 6) of the incandescent lamp (1) in such a manner between themselves at the other end, by means of contact arms (12, 13) which are constructed there and which are bent-over at approximately right angles from the remaining portion of the metal arm pair and are situated approximately parallel to one another, that on the one hand they are fixed in their position and on the other hand the line of electrical supply to them is established, whereas a section (14, 15) situated between the two said ends in each case serves to secure the pairs of metal arms to the base plate (2), characterised by the following features :
a) each pair of metal arms (12, 13) and the associated flat plug terminal (11) are cut out and bent in one piece from a spring strip,
b) the spring strip is doubled by folding, the end comprising the fold forming the flat plug (11),
c) the two contact arms (12, 13) are of narrower construction than the adjoining section (14, 15) serving for securing purposes,
d) the sections (14, 15) of the two pairs of metal arms which serve for securing purposes are introduced like slides into lateral grooves (16, 17) of the socket base plate (2) in such a manner that the edge regions of the sections (14, 15) doubled by folding and used for securing are held together by the lateral grooves (16, 17),
e) the metal arm abutting on the socket base plate (2) comprises an elastic nose (18) which engages with a catch action in an aperture (19) of the socket base plate (2).
2. Socket according to claim 1, characterised in that contact arm (13) of each pair of metal arms which is at the front in the slide-in direction abuts on a wall (20) of the socket base plate (2), said wall extending at right angles to the slide-in direction.
3. Socket according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that an indentation (21) improving bending resistance is formed in the line of bend between each of the front contact arms (13) and the adjoining section abutting on the base plate (2).

Socket according to one of the preceding claims, wherein one of the projections which engage in the apertures of the incandescent lamp flanges to fix the incandescent lamp is rectangular in cross-section, and the other is made round in cross-section, and the rectangular projection is constructed as a tongue bent out from one contact arm, characterised in that the round projection (10) is constructed as a sleeve deep- drawn from the contact arm.
5. Socket according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that one contact arm (12) in each case of the pairs of contact arms is curved convexly towards the base flange (5, 6) of the incandescent lamp, and the other contact arm (13) in each case comprises at the height of the convex curve (23) a contact stud (22) which is formed by pressing in the metal plate and which serves as an abutment point for the base flanges (5, 6).
