Definitions
- the invention relates to a submersible pump of the type specified in the preamble of the main claim.
- the submersible pump When the submersible pump is on its side, it can no longer pump water out as soon as air is drawn into the inlet openings. The same occurs when the submersible pump has its outlet port on the top and it is placed in a wide container or wide pit for pumping out.
- the weight of the line and the tension exerted by it, as well as the movements of the lines when pumping, then act in relation to the footprint with a relatively large lever arm, so that the submersible pump easily tips over and this in turn sucks in air before the water is complete is pumped out.
- the invention has for its object to provide a submersible pump of the type mentioned, when using it, regardless of the external circumstances, an optimal stability is guaranteed on the stand, and which can also be used in extremely narrow containers, the inner diameter of which is only slightly larger is the outside diameter of the submersible pump.
- the line for discharging the pumped water can be connected either laterally or at the top in accordance with the prevailing external conditions. This reduces the risk of the submersible pump tipping to a minimum, even on uneven or flexible ground.
- the submersible pump designed according to the invention can be placed in extremely narrow containers, the clear inner width of which need only be slightly larger than the outside diameter of the submersible pump. This is achieved by routing the connecting cable at the top. It is also conceivable that a line is connected to both outlet connections, so that either two consumption points can be supplied or a correspondingly doubled throughput is achieved.
- the two stacked outlet connections are located on one side of the housing, so that simplified flow guides result in the interior of the housing. Since the first outlet connection is located relatively deep on the housing side, the weight, the dynamic forces and possibly tensile loads in the line act with respect to the footprint with a desirably small lever arm, thereby preventing the submersible pump from tipping over undesirably.
- connection flanges can not only be used for tight connection of the outgoing line.
- the measure recognizable from claim 6 is also expedient, since the outlet connection which is not required in each case can thus be opened in a simple manner and the other can be closed.
- the flanges alternately fit on the flanges of the outlet connections, so that no special accessories are required, but the submersible pump can be converted to the respective type of use directly at the construction site.
- the feature of claim 8 is also essential.
- such a design can be easily implemented in terms of production technology, since the tube and the connections can be molded in from the outset.
- the capsule housing of such a submersible pump is subjected to considerable external loads in the often rough operation on a construction site.
- the capsule housing is therefore ribbed on the outside to improve the structural strength and also to increase the robustness.
- the ribbing has the additional effect of heat dissipation to the outside. Since the tube integrated into the housing side represents an exposed zone as far as shocks or impacts are concerned, it is expedient if the tube is included in the ribbing according to claim 9 and is therefore protected against damage.
- the capsule housing is made of plastic or a die-cast, the outlet connections can be integrated particularly easily.
- a submersible pump 1 according to FIG. 1, which can be used for pumping or pumping clear and dirty water for the home and garden, yard and construction site, has a capsule housing 3 made of plastic or die-cast with horizontally extending reinforcing ribs 4, and a lower part 2 with suction part and on the top 5 a closure cover 6.
- the closure cover 6 and the lower part 2 are screwed to the capsule housing 3, for example.
- the top 5 is spanned by a handle 7, the two ends of the bracket are releasably attached to the capsule housing 3 with fastening screws 8.
- the capsule housing 3 has an essentially flat housing side 3a and three curved housing sides 3b, the ones lying at the rear in FIG. 1 not being visible.
- a pipe 9 is structurally embedded in the housing side 3a dert, which runs behind the outside of the housing side 3a upwards and leads to a second outlet port 10 which is in the form of a flange 10a comprising an outlet opening.
- the top of the flange 10a is approximately at the height of the top of the housing 3.
- a further flange 11 is fixed with fastening screws 12, which in extension of the outlet opening or the tube 9 has a connecting piece 13 with an internal thread 14 contributes to connecting a line.
- a first outlet port 15 which is defined by a flange 15a integrated into the housing side 3a.
- a further, flat flange 16 is fixed with fastening screws 12 on the flange 15a, which acts as a closure cover 17 for the opening of the outlet connection 15.
- the lower part 2 which defines the footprint 2a for the submersible pump 1 on the ground.
- the lower part 2 which defines the footprint 2a for the submersible pump 1 on the ground. in this embodiment has feet 18, 20 and inlet openings 19 for sucking in the water.
- the switching line 22 of a Schwirnmer switch 21 is fastened with a clamp 23, with which the inner pump part, not shown, of the submersible pump 1 is started as soon as the water level around the submersible pump exceeds a certain height.
- the float switch 21 and the actuation of the inner pump part by it are known and therefore need not be explained in more detail.
- the flanges 11 and 16 can expediently be interchanged so that the first outlet connection 15 can then be used to connect a line, while the second outlet connection 10 is then closed. It is also conceivable that both outlet connections are opened so that two lines can be connected for two consumers or for a doubled throughput.
- the standing arrangement of the submersible pump 1 in a well shaft 24 with a horizontal bottom 25 can be seen from FIG.
- the handle 7 is attached here via a fuse 27 to a cross member 28 of the well shaft.
- the first outlet connection 15 is closed as in FIG. 1, while a line 26 for a consumer 30 is connected to the flange 11 at the second outlet connection 10. It is obvious that the submersible pump 1 with this arrangement of the line 26 can also be introduced into a narrow shaft which is only slightly larger than the external dimensions of the submersible pump 1 with this arrangement of the line 26.
- the submersible pump 1 is inserted into a wide bottom recess 29 and is at the bottom with its lower part 2.
- the second outlet connection 10 with the flange 16 is worn out, while the first outlet connection 15 with the flange 11 allows the line 26 to be connected.
- the line 26 leads very horizontally very close to the lower part 2 and can therefore be supported on the bottom of the recess 29 or cannot exert any significant tipping moment on the submersible pump 1.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 do not emphasize this, the submersible pump 1 can of course be equipped with the float switch 21 from FIG. 1 in order to switch on and off automatically when the water level reaches a certain height.
- the flange 11 expediently has a standardized internal thread connection, e.g. 1.25 inch for versatile connection options. If the capsule housing 3 is made of plastic or die-cast, the total weight of the submersible pump is expediently low.
- the submersible pump 1 as a stationary pump, e.g. is used in a basement drainage system, which has only a limited height, it is advisable to omit the handle 7.

Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Tauchpumpe der im Oberbegriff des Hauptanspruchs angegebenen Art.The invention relates to a submersible pump of the type specified in the preamble of the main claim.
Known submersible pumps of this type, which are used for transporting liquids away, have an outlet connection in their housing which, depending on the type of pump, is arranged on the top of the submersible pump opposite the base or on the housing side. At this outlet connection, the line can be connected, which should lead the pumped water away. It has now been shown in practice that with a side outlet connection whenever the submersible pump must be placed in a relatively narrow but high space, due to the inevitable tension on the line and by the movement of the line itself Pumps and the stiffening effect due to the pressure building up in the line exerts a tilting moment on the submersible pump, which causes the submersible pump to tip over. When the submersible pump is on its side, it can no longer pump water out as soon as air is drawn into the inlet openings. The same occurs when the submersible pump has its outlet port on the top and it is placed in a wide container or wide pit for pumping out. The weight of the line and the tension exerted by it, as well as the movements of the lines when pumping, then act in relation to the footprint with a relatively large lever arm, so that the submersible pump easily tips over and this in turn sucks in air before the water is complete is pumped out. In the case of extremely narrow pipes or containers in which a known submersible pump with a lateral outlet connection is used, there is either a strong and a lei for the line Significant kink loss or it is even impossible to insert the submersible pump with the laterally leading line into this narrow container.
The invention has for its object to provide a submersible pump of the type mentioned, when using it, regardless of the external circumstances, an optimal stability is guaranteed on the stand, and which can also be used in extremely narrow containers, the inner diameter of which is only slightly larger is the outside diameter of the submersible pump.
The object is achieved according to the invention by the features specified in the characterizing part of the main claim.
As a result of the two optional and jointly usable outlet connections, the line for discharging the pumped water can be connected either laterally or at the top in accordance with the prevailing external conditions. This reduces the risk of the submersible pump tipping to a minimum, even on uneven or flexible ground. Furthermore, the submersible pump designed according to the invention can be placed in extremely narrow containers, the clear inner width of which need only be slightly larger than the outside diameter of the submersible pump. This is achieved by routing the connecting cable at the top. It is also conceivable that a line is connected to both outlet connections, so that either two consumption points can be supplied or a correspondingly doubled throughput is achieved.
This means that when only one line is connected, the actual Pump power can be used, it is appropriate if the measure of
Another important idea can be found in
The features of
A feature that is favorable in terms of production technology is also evident from
The measure recognizable from
Another important idea arises from
Since it is expedient to keep the outer dimensions of the submersible pump as small as possible, the feature of claim 8 is also essential. In addition, such a design can be easily implemented in terms of production technology, since the tube and the connections can be molded in from the outset.
The capsule housing of such a submersible pump is subjected to considerable external loads in the often rough operation on a construction site. The capsule housing is therefore ribbed on the outside to improve the structural strength and also to increase the robustness. The ribbing has the additional effect of heat dissipation to the outside. Since the tube integrated into the housing side represents an exposed zone as far as shocks or impacts are concerned, it is expedient if the tube is included in the ribbing according to claim 9 and is therefore protected against damage.
Technically, it is particularly simple and inexpensive to proceed according to

A pipe 9 is structurally embedded in the
Approximately in extension of the tube 9 is in the lower half of the
The
On the
The
The standing arrangement of the
In Fig. 3, the
Although FIGS. 2 and 3 do not emphasize this, the
The
If the
