Abstract

The invention relates a hydraulic machine, specifically a submersible pump, with integrated multiple discharge outlets, permitting the pump to be used in any position, horizontal, vertical or inclined in a simplified way. Furthermore, the invention allows the function of all of the discharge outlets simultaneously, or just one of the outlets, according to the requirements of the end user.

Description

SUBMERSIBLE PUMP WITH MULTIPLE OUTLETS
Technical Field The invention relates to the technical sector of the construction of pumps for fluids and, in particular, submersible pumps for the distribution of water in external or internal areas. Background art Presently, many different types of pumps that move fluids are known through out. It's not the aim of this patent application to describe the types of pumps that exist on the market today, since all technicians in this field already know how they work, as they constitute known art. Especially, what is already known are hydraulic working machine, alternative pumps, as well as centrifugal, axial or others, able to lift or push liquids. Presently, the pumps that are known today must be furnished with accessories in order to have multiple discharge outlets or outlets that allow different exits for the fluids from the hydraulic machines. Therefore, it is not convenient for the end user who is obligated to equip the pump with additional accessories. These accessories add volume to the pump which may be critical in the application of the operational machine in the right spaces.
The accessories are made in part with curves, elbows, and "T" piece unions which are all externally applied to the pump by means of threaded outlets or connections that are applied to the discharge outlet, as well. These fittings are characterised as separate accessories which complete the pump. The pump's external accessories create an inconvenience in that they are an additional production cost.
The purpose of this invention is to eliminate this and other drawbacks, by supplying a pump that is compact with integrated attachments for multiple discharge outlets allowing fluids to exit in different directions. The pump also has removable a support base that allow the pump to be used both in the vertical or horizontal position.
This and other purposes are all achieved by a hydraulic machine that has an opening in the impeller area of the pump in which two or more fluid exits facing the fluid conduit are incoφorated in the actual pump body.
Furthermore, this machine has a removable support base that also functions as a carrying handle.
The advantages to this invention are multiple.
In the first place, it allows a hydraulic machine and in particular a pump to have multiple discharge outlets without having the end user add any external accessories. This pump may also be optionally used with a single discharge outlet only. This allows the possibility to have a pump that is extremely similar to the traditional pumps, but without changing the dimensions.
The ability of not having to attach external accessories to the machine allows the pump in subject to result more compact and less space consuming.
Therefore, it results much easier and simpler to handle in areas with limited spaces, in ponds or lakes, and in situations where the level of the water is low. It is also easier to handle when doing cleaning and maintenance operations as well as carrying the machine when transporting it. The other advantage is the cost saving factor in that there is no need to project and manufacture the external accessories such as elbows, T's and other fittings. Disclosure of invention
These and other advantages and characteristics of this invention are explained in further details for the technician of this particular branch with the following description which follow with the enclosed drawings. A hydraulic machine, according to the present invention, is characterised by the fact that it includes:
- means to be able to apply different accessories to the pump, with two or more discharge outlets incorporated in the actual pump's body and that it may be used by having it positioned horizontally, vertically, inclined or in all positions simultaneously;
- means to change or vary the hydraulic characteristics by the discharge outlets with an internal conduit to channel out the fluid complying to the specifics required;
- means to be able to position the machine in different positions, with a removable handle.
The machine has the advantage of being equipped with two or more discharge outlets permitting the end user to use the outlets singularly, partially, or altogether.
Advantageously, the hydraulic machine may also be used with one discharge outlet in the horizontal, vertical, or inclined position.
Conveniently, the in the impeller area, there is a conduit (4) (8) in which the discharge outlets face (6) (11, 12).
Conveniently, the above mentioned conduit can be adjusted in a such a way that it may, according to the end user's specifications, alter the performances of the discharge outlets. Conveniently, the wall (5) (9) of the conduit can completely or partially cover the discharge outlets either in a vertical or horizontal way, varying the performance of the discharge outlets.
Conveniently, it is possible to realise on the discharge outlets different types of attachments: threaded couplings, or other types or dimensions.
Conveniently, the machine is equipped with a carrying handle which allows for easy transport, and if necessary, when removing this part, the pump's dimensions are furthermore reduced when put into the operational phase. Conveniently, the handle has a double function, transportation, and to stabilise the pump's base during the working phase when placed in the horizontal position.
A possible form of the pump is by having a submersible pump that has two discharge outlets orthogonally between them (one is vertical and the other is horizontal) where in the area of the impeller is realised a bulkhead that makes the channel where the two discharge outlets face. In this particular form, to give the two outlets the same hydraulic characteristic, a wall was realised that forms a semicircular channel of constant separation and that covers up to a half of the first outlet and the covers the second completely, being that the first discharge outlet is the first one that the fluid comes in contact with.
Details of the execution can however vary, as in the accordance with types of materials used and the realization techniques, without however straying from the principle of the solution adopted and therefore remaining inside the boundaries of protection granted by this patent. Brief description of drawings
Further characteristics and advantages will be more evident looking to a favourite but not restrictive form of realization depicted as an example in the attached drawings where: - Fig. 1 shows a vertical section drawing of the machine constituted by a pump (1) for liquids of any kind, equipped, in this case, with impeller (2), entrance hole (3) for water, water suction conduit (4) with wall (5) of appropriate form and with two discharge outlets (6) are found on the same axis. - Fig. 2 shows another possible but not a binding conformation from the machine in object made with an entrance inlet (7), a semicircular conduit (8) with a relative dividing wall (9), a base (10) for support with function as removable handle, and two discharge outlets (11, 12) orthoganally between them, one positioned vertically and one horizontally. The object as is, may be susceptible to numerous modifications and variants, as well as regarding the materials to use and to the building techniques, but however, it does not allow to stray away from the concept of the invention that will be subject to the patent-right's request.
